Just so bad all around… and hour for food that never came — the pool was dirty? Just not good. Not friendly to the gringos for sure.

Hands down this is the best place you could stay in all of Manuel Antonio. The beach is BEAUTIFUL and the staff is unbelievably kind and accommodating. 30 second walk to the beach and amazing monkeys, birds, and lizards are everywhere!

Nice access to the beach. Delicious breakfast! Rooms are cute and we enjoyed our patio hammock overlooking the lawns.

Beautiful location close to the park but unfortunately the bungalows in the heights are lacking a good pressure of water to be the shower.

Good location close to the beach and Manuel Antonio Park, cleanliness correct, standard rooms regular just like breakfast.

It consists of 2 sections, one with access to the beach and the other across the street, so relatively close to the beach, in the gardens I could see a capuchin monkey. Superior rooms very quiet but not the standard that are next to the street. Good food, typical breakfast and fresh fruits, restaurant overlooking the beach. Excellent for families. Nice garden with little trail.

We stayed for three nights, absolutely loved it here. Private access to the beach which is super close and beautiful not busy at all. So many animals! Monkeys, giant lizards, tucan, sloths all just around the cabin and grounds! The staff were lovely, we had a deluxe cabin which is worth the extra there is a big difference.

He's got old rooms. There's no TV. No safes. The tub is dangerous. Since it is small and slippery. I didn't like it.

Great beach resort with its own stretch of beach. Sun loungers are free of charge … yes, Manuel Antonio is certainly one of Costa Rica's tourist magnets, but none of this can be felt in the complex at all. When we were there there was the happy hour of 16h — 18h with bring service to the beach … So to enjoy the sunset with fresh fruit coctails is great!
The food and breakfast in the complex is also very good! The national park can also be reached on foot from the complex and thus spares the parking fee!
We'll be back! PURA VIDA!

We rented a room in the beachfront building. This is the best spot one can wish for. It has an easy access to the beach, swimming pool, restaurant. The reception to the hotel was very short and quick. They even forgot to mention when the free breakfast is and where. We also had to go back to the reception for the safe key. But, add they say here, Pura Vida, i. E. Take it easy… From other drawbacks I can also mention that bathroom doesn't have an air fan, so be careful if you really need to go, although one can open a little window. Also the shower is separated by a decorative wall (see the photo), so water is so over the bathroom once you've taken a shower. One more thing, we've reserved a room with two double beds, they are double and not queen, so it's quite hard to sleep with your children if they move in their sleep. This pretty much summarizes negative side. I have to say, that overall our stay at the hotel was very pleasant, room was always cleaned on time, staff was very friendly. The hotel has long chairs, so one can use while resting on the beach, the pool is clean and water of a perfect temperature. The best restaurants are in the walking distance, well, that's providing one doesn't mind walking up or down a hill. Also, the National park is literally 10 minutes walking away.

The registration of the accommodation is marked on the wrong side of the road. Very confusing at night. Very nice view after than 90 steps ascent. Large rooms with comfortable beds. The bathroom was always wet as there was no curtain. Also from the air conditioner it dripped down to the bed. The restaurant has a good menu and the breakfast is also very adequate. Private access to the beach with plenty of shade. All the staff are very nice and helpful.

Right on the beach, walking distance to restaurants and a small convenience store, and close to Manuel Antonio park. The rooms and on site restaurant are good, but nothing to shout about. Location is everything.

Really amazing experience there. Its right on the beach which make it great. The rooms are clean the staff is nice. The front desk speaks English too. Lizards are all around, and overall great.

All very well less the 130 steps, should put the cart back and close completely, so avoid accidents.

Expensive for such a simple place…

My favorite place to stay in Costa Rica. It is right on Manuel Antonio beach and has a nice secure pool inside the gated area.

Excellent place to spend the day in Manuel Antonio using the facilities and the restaurant is First world.

Having the beach in front of the hotel is a big plus. The Beach front rooms are comfortable and with the necessary. Nothing modern or luxurious but fair. Clean! Ventilated. The beach more relaxed without so many people. Seeing the monkeys crossing the trees in the gardens is Lindisimo.

Wonderful light, super tasty and refreshing lunch at Canto Del Mar restaurant located at Karahe Hotel. I think I found a new favorite! Thanks for the hospitality Cecilia.

Comfortable rooms, restaurant has good food at very reasonable prices, friendly staff. Walking distance to Manuel Antonio Park, or you can hop on a local bus on the road out front for less than 50 cents. Partial views of the ocean. Would stay again.

Clean, friendly service at one of the only hotels with beach access and AC! Our family loved walking along the beach from our hotel to the local beach front park, restaurants and Manuel Antonio National Park. We especially enjoyed the jungle beach front complete with white faced monkeys to steal our food. Highly recommend this hotel to ensure a fun experience with kiddos!

The pillows and blankets smelled like mildew and the ac unit leaked so bad it completely submerged my door and floor in water (nothing was done after complaints). Nice beach but slow service and the breakfast was dry and distrusting.

The place is beautiful and is really close to Playa Espadilla. Just consider there is very poor signal and free Wi-Fi is really bad.

The beach is right there… and they have their own animals ranging around all day.

Late booking, good price, clean & comfortable. Friendly multi lingual staff, restaurant is fantastic, way above expectations. All 4 of us will be back 1 day.

Cute although the moisture in the pieces feel that much and Wi-Fi works regular. Otherwise very cute.

Rooms feel dirty. Wi-Fi is weak at best. Someone stole my shoes right off the beach, I wasn't more than ten feet away. Don't come to this area.

TOURIST TRAP!, TOURIST TRAP!, TOURIST TRAP! If you go to this hotel after this review its your own fault. First off the pics on there website looked nothing like the actual. The rooms were horrible, I could not even get them to come and clean our room. We literally had to sweep our own floor to get the sand off, there excuse was that we put up a do not disturb sign. We did not even have a do not disturb sign in the room. No Wi Fi internet except for the lobby. Hot water worked when it wanted to and trickled out of the faucet. Sheets were dirty, beds were uncomfortable. Staff was friendly to your face but never followed through with anything you asked them. The food was disgusting and extremely expensive. Pool was full of sand and hot tub did not work. When we finally got another room which was across the street and closer to the beach, it was full of huge Red Ants! Be sure to bring your own blow dryer because the rooms did not have one! No Room service or phone in the room to contact the front desk or maintenance. Our toilet was broken for Two days before they came and fixed it. Overall I feel disgusted with this hotel and our stay in Manuel Antonio. The only good thing about the hotel was the beach which had no monkeys, a sloth was in the tree. Poisonous snakes were around the gardens and the staff was too concerned with the well being of these deadly things to not kill them. Like I said, if you go to this place, good luck! its your own fault.

So close to the beach! Unbelievable price for all they offer.

The Karahe is one of the best hotels in Manuel Antonio. It is located right on the breach and easy walking distance to Manuel Antonio Park and the little town. They just added on a new 3rd floor and the beds and bedding are to die for in them. They also have a nice little restaurant and pool and most times you will see the monkey's right there in the trees. Everything you need for a relaxing vacation.

Nice and quiet, be sure to reserve a hotel room instead of a bungalow (reviews are bad). Nearby the beach and Manuel Antonio National Park. I'll definitely go again.
