The location of the place, with a treatment of the staff is incredible. In addition to this is added an extremely well equipped space perfect for trips with friends and or families. High privacy. In short, high hosting.

This spot was perfect for a big group traveling together. The whole place had a beautiful tropical surf vibe, the rooms were comfortable and cute, and the pool was perfect (the slide! ). The outdoor dining area was a great place to gather and the cats and dogs roaming around made it feel like home! Shuttle pick up, breakfast, and many other adventures were offered through the property and location was just a couple minutes walk from the beach, restaurant, and night life. There was a locked front gate and a night watchman that made us feel very safe, and the staff was super friendly and helpful. Overall an extremely outstanding experience!

Plumbing issues in our unit. No Kitchen for guests. Light in bathroom didnt work.

I wanted to take my son surfing in COsta Rica for his 30th birthday.
I got overwhelmed with how to get everything arranged so it would be a trip he would always remember.
Hotel, board rentals, transportation etc.
Sebastian, the owner of hotel, also owns Kelly’s Surf Shop in Tamarindo and literally took care of us like we were family. Our Surf guide “Bambi” was fantastic and made sure we were at the best surf break at the right time and that we had Right boards for the day’s waves. One day it was double overhead waves and there is no way I would have let my son paddle out except I knew “Bambi” wouldn’t let my son get hurt.
Sebastian also took care of transportation to wherever we wanted to go including transfers from the airport. Our driver PePe was extremely reliable and a really sweet guy that I would trust with my life.
Hotel was perfect for surfers — clean and comfortable w cool vibe.
I knew if one of us got sick or hurt or in some kind of hassle Sebastian would “have our backs”.
If you are planning trip to Tamarindo do yourself a favor and stay at SS.

Access to bars/restaurants — quiet/private — great pool deck-nice rooms.

Sirena Serena was the perfect place to call home in Tamarindo. The entire team from owners to staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The hotel is located slightly away from and out of ear shot of the action on the main strip. You'll appreciate this if you enjoy your peace on vacation and your quiet at night for a good nights sleep. Justa short stroll from the beach, shops and groceries, you couldn't ask for a better location to take in Tamarindo at your own pace. The rooms are well equipped with everything you could need. Hot water for showers, television with a few English channels and of course AC for those super hot days. The breakfast is more than you could hope for. Eggs, cereal, yogurt, fruit, toast and much more will set your straight for a day of exploring and activity. The pool also doesn't disappoint at all. It's the perfect place to escape the mid day heat. Tamarindo is also the ideal place to learn to surf, should you need lessons or a board, check out Kelly Surf Shop, which offers great lessons at a discount if you stay at Sirena Serena.

My time at Sirena Serena has been incredible. The reception was wonderful; friendly, helpful, and prompt. They gave lots of recommendations for restaurants, day trips, as well as helping me schedule tours and excursions. The breakfast every morning was fresh and delicious — gallo pinto, fruits, cereal, and more. The room itself is clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated. The common areas are very nice places to meet the guests from the other 5 rooms, many of whom I felt I developed friendships with. The pool was relaxing to practice yoga next to. All in all, I could not have hoped for a better experience in Tamarindo. I cannot wait to return to Sirena Serena!

Stay was great! The owners and front desk staff are wonderful, they put together a complete package for us including existing, surf lessons and bike rentals. The breakfast served every morning was delicious. Quick walk or bike ride into town and to the beach. Would definitely return!

Heard amazing things about this hotel while at Kelly’s surf shop. Had the pleasure of going to check it out. Amazing! Everything was very clean, friendly staff and very inviting. It felt like a private escape. The hotel is just a short walk from the beach. The hotel offers many rooms to accommodate anyone’s needs. They actually offer a package to rent the entire facility for a group retreat. Highly recommend for your stay in Tamarindo!

Great time. Pool and A/C. Full kitchen and the folks that run it are fantastic! Added bonus that they run Kelly's surf shop so boards are discounted! (Big fav in TR; here and waffle monkey ;)

Beautiful little hotel in Tamarindo. It is so nice and quiet up there like in not many other places in Tamarindo. I enjoyed its little garden and shady spots around the pool. The employees are really nice and help you book tours, surf lessons or even in house massages. Also the breakfast is tasty, you can have the best Gallo Pinto, eggs, yogurt, fruit, granola, fruit juice, toast, cheese or even peanut butter. Would come back again.

Small, simple and quiet, don't go there with high expectations. It is a place to just go to sleep!

Beds are too short no good for long legs. Good value for money.

Our Yoga group had a wonderful time at this resort. The owners catered to us! The food was good, authentic and fresh, the rooms were adorable!

A very nice hotel hidden in the vegetation. Quiet, well kept, tastefully decorated and super breakfast'! A try without hesitation.
