The menu is both creative and affordable. It offers local favorites as well some fresh new takes. I had the open face poached egg on French salad and a fruit tart for desert. Both were wonderfully delicious!

If you have kids and want to let them run wild while you tune out and drink margaritas, then great. This is the spot for you. But if you are looking to unwind and relax and enjoy the pool I can’t think of a worse place to go. Our experience was so bad we wanted to leave after the first night but everything in the area was booked up. The hotel says they are a family hotel, which is fine. But to let the pool area be a complete Disneyland free-for-all of kids screaming and splashing and throwing balls is completely disrespectful to all the other guests. I will never return and will be actively telling others to avoid. I’ve never stayed at a more chaotic and terrible place.

It is absolutely beautiful! The pool is amazing. It’s located in the center of town just steps from one of the best beaches in the world. The hotel restaurant is superb! Excellent food and above and beyond service!

I experienced this restaurant tonight. At first everything was perfect, nice drink good service, good music…After the food arrived… what a mess… poulpo with bbq sauce, ceasar salad with no dressing. Main course I took the surf & turf… gnocchi was cold … steak way overcook and shrimps with shells and so hard was impossible to eat…i had to return my plate… no excuse. Nobody came to offer any compliment to try and recuperate my huge désappointement…was the WORST EXPERIENCE in Nosara. Sorry not sorry your food sucks.

A hotel that opposes the protection of turtles, which led to courts the regulation, endorsed by most of the community, for the protection of light pollution and recharge zones, cannot be a pleasant place.

They don’t care about nature. Trying to pass a law that will affect the turtles that go to the beach to lay their eggs. Horrible people, not good at all for the country.

Taco tuesday last night was great! 12 tacos for 12 bucks you cant go wrong! will be back next time for sure! go early to make sure you get a table! food came quick. We arrived at 530 pm.

Last night we arrived @7 pm to your restaurant for taco Tuesday and there were no tables available, so we stand at the bar and order one beer and one rum and coke it was 14.75! Then we try and order tacos and were told no tacos will be eaten at the bar! So we wait for a table with our expensive drinks, by 8:30 there were tables reserved with no one sitting at them! We left hungry and we will never spend any more money in this place again with very rude employees!

The First place ever truly Engaged with Nature. All the systems they use for every aspect is eco friendly, their employees are 5 Stars as well as the entire complex, besides, their support to locals is incredible!

Great location and nice facility! The pool is lovely and I loved our outdoor shower. I wish there was a privacy curtain on the outdoor shower so I could use it as a real shower instead of a pool or sand rinse off station. I was a bit irritated that there was no drink menu. I ordered drinks and never knew what the price was. I felt like I may have gotten ripped off once because the price was different than the time before. Please print up a drink list of what you can make and put pricing on it. It's very helpful! Especially if I don't know what I want and maybe there's some delicious drink I want to try and don't know about. Breakfast is pretty skimpy and the worst one I had during my two week Costa Rica trip traveling throughout the country. It's 'included' but i'd rather just pay and go across the street to Rosi's and get a decent breakfast. We did eat a lunch here from the menu and it was DELICIOUS so I know they can cook well. I did a spa treatment and the woman working was very nice. Overall, loved the place. Just a few things we didn't like.

Beautiful Hotel and Restaurant. We visited the restaurant several times during our visit and everything we ordered was nothing short of perfection. Breakfast, lunch, or dinner — you will not be disappointed with the food selection and exceptional service. The BEST calamari appetizer I've ever had, the eggplant roll-ups are amazing, and also the steak filet dinner was unreal. We had such a blast listening the live music they offer on Tuesday nights, dancing on the lawn under the beautiful malinche trees. The owners and staff are awesome — such wonderful, friendly service. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone! You can thank me later ;-) Thanks to all at the Gilded Iguana for the incredible experience!

The hotel was ok though, close to the beach. More like a golf ressort than a surf hotel. But we had an illegal use of our credit card by the hotel and still fighting to get the money back. Huge effort guaranteed!

Stunning renovation, especially in keeping details of the original restaurant space we all love so much! Finally a local surf hotel that really gets it and has a vested interest in doing things right in a fully legal, sustainable way, without cutting any corners. I wish I could say the same about every other business and big hotel in town but that would be a lie. Everything I've tried so far at the restaurant has been fresh and super tasty. The rooms are gorgeous and the pool area is the nicest one in town! Great location, walking distance from the north entrance, and great value. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone coming to vacation in Nosara.

The best hotel in Nosara. Very new and modern. Loved their yoga rooms with lots of space, super comfy beds and spacious bathroom.

Love this place! Went 3-5 times a week last year. Great bar, great food, good prices. They let you use the pool as a patron, unlike places like Harmony Hotel and Harbor reef where you cant use the pool even though your spending money on site. Guilded Iguana is laid back and relaxing, plus the staff are cool.
