Very good service, beautiful cabins, cold pool but with great scenery. I recommend the wooden cabins. It has parking and its breakfast is good. The food you can order express to in nearby restaurant which is amazing.

Amazing! Beautifull place, fantastic and helpfull owner! There is no restaurant but he solved this amazing. You can cook your own meals in your room or order in from some of the local restaurants. (Will not recommend ordering from the cipress. Food not that tastfull). Lovely swimmingpool and simply stunning view. Trust me, if you can, book here!

Stopped in this place in may 2015, the place is very scenic, kind and gracious hosts, you can enjoy views straight from the pool. And over a delicious breakfast.

My girlfriend and me enjoyed our stay very much. Lovely hosts, extremely nice rooms/houses and an amazing view! Go there, visit volcano Poas in the morning and on your way back visit Los Chorros Waterfalls. Just ask for directions or lookup Google Maps.

Very nice small casitas. Great views. Very nice climate. Excellent breakfast. Very nice husband and wife proprietors and very helpful. However, the wife kinda likes to talk non-stop and will suck the peace and quiet right out of the air. Taxis are few and far between but there are buses with a bus stop right there at their entrance. Having a car is helpful since they are so far out of town. Oh, and the water tastes and smells horrible so bring your own bottled water.

If I were to describe Mango Valley in a single word, it would be “peaceful. ” The porch of our cabin had a great view of the Poas Volcano. The grounds are very pretty and there was a banana tree in bloom right outside of our door. We loved sitting on the porch in the morning and drinking the coffee they provided. My step-son did some bird watching on the grounds and added several new species to his life-list there. The hosts, Maite and Jose, made us feel like we were visiting family instead of staying in a rental. The included breakfast was delicious and so was the coffee & juice each morning. Maite (the owner) speaks good English and she & her husband Jose offer excellent advice on what to visit in the area and when to go. We were set on visiting the volcano our first day there, but they talked us out of it because of the cloud conditions. They sent us to La Paz Waterfall Gardens instead and we loved it. The following day the weather was clear and we had a good trip to Poas Volcano. Our cabin was very comfortable, with plenty of hot water (that is not always the case in Costa Rica) and a comfortable mattress. The décor is rustic, but the room was extremely clean. When we go back to Costa Rica, we will definitely spend some more days at Mango Valley. If I had a complaint, it would be that the road to the location is rough and very bumpy, but that seems to be the norm in much of Costa Rica. Mango Valley is a good value for the money and I recommend it.
