Hot springs are perfect, Hotel confortable but even espresso in bedroom is charged! In equivalent Hotel on world you have bottle of water free in room and when there is coffee maker it is free! Not at Baldi Hotel.!

This place is amazing and worth the trip and stay! They have over 30 pools that are heated and some that are just regular temperature. There are three rides that are all really fun! There are bars in some of the pool areas so there is definitely some fun for all ages. They provide lockers so it's nice to not worry about your stuff and just wander around. The food is decent.

This place is so beautiful. It’s right in the rainforest so there are trees and plants throughout the resort. When it gets dark the are neon lights allow you to still see the beautiful surroundings. There are 25 hot springs inside and a natural sauna. If you like speed go down the covered slide!

The hot springs are amazing. They have various pools of various temperatures that you can try. They have a section for kids and a bar inside of a pool. The gift shop is pricey. There are also lockers available for rent. I did not eat at the restaurant or stay at the hotel. I would recommend this place to anyone. There is some walking involved as every place is here but they also have carts to drive people around.

This resort is a must come back! Numerous hot springs to fit everyone’s “temp gauge” everything was very clean, bathrooms grounds are maintained impeccably. Swim up bar service was a definite plus and dinner at the Pyramid was so relaxing looking out into the jungle, listening to the birds, not to mention numerous food choices starting with soup and salad, chicken, fish, pork chops, last but not least … several yummy desserts to choose from. We had a really nice time and plan on coming back for a longer visit soon!

Beautiful hotel. The hot springs are perfect after a day of hiking around the rainforest. They have a few slides that the kids loved although a some are so fast us adults could only go a couple times before our heads started hurting. Our room was bigger than average with a great balcony and view of the volcano. The second night our roof began to leak. Within an hour they had us moved to a junior suite. The hot springs were amazing, the hotel was really nice and the free breakfast was really good too. Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed for several hours just lounging around the pools. Each pool gets warmer as you go up the hill. There's even a semi-hidden sauna in one of them. There's also water slides that'll rattle your socks off! It can be a relaxing day or even an exciting day. It is what you make of it. The dinner buffet was good and the views are amazing of the volcano. 10/10 would come back.

Baldi is beautiful, many pools, very clean place, the room cleaning excellent, excellent also the service of Michael is very sympathetic and always ready, we helped a lot with my grandmother of 90 years. However The customer service is not very good we would go with an older adult on the reservation we emphasize this point and they gave us a room on the fourth floor, we agreed because we were told had an elevator but that day was Light and we were not able to take her to dinner, (the day of her birthday) had no room service so we had to go to bring the food but in a possible emergency, an adult should NEVER be at fourth floor
The food at the restaurant of up really bad, and it was hard with that floor bring a wheelchair, unfortunately not everyone can visit this place for that aspect
Finally if you are going to have swimming pools enabled 24hrs they should be monitoring because we play to see a man in obscenities.

Place obliged to visit if you go to the area of La Fortuna, they have an excellent view to the volcano, many swimming pools, sauna, jacuzzi. The staff were very friendly and friendly. I'll be back soon.

We bought a day pass through our Airbnb host for $33. We hung out there and relaxed all afternoon. This worked out great since we didn’t have anywhere to go until we could check in to our next hotel. The place is beautiful. Not crowded at all, we pretty much had the pools to ourselves. Free parking. Great staff, very helpful.

Spectacular… Thermal baths with water coming directly from the volcano… Beautiful structure… Forget the restaurant, bad.

A very beautiful property with many different hot springs style pools and swim up bars. We really enjoyed the hot springs in the evening as they were very relaxing. The drinks are good but are ranging $10-20 each which was on the steeper side of what we experienced when we left the resort. The breakfast was excellent with many different choices and they would prepare eggs for you fresh. We also had dinner here and it was very good. A little expensive but we enjoyed it. The rooms were fairly nice but a little more outdated than what we experienced when we stayed next door at Paradise Hot Springs. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend the Fortuna area!

Interesting hot springs, entertaining, very well taken care of! Elegant, I did not see the price because it was already included in my tour, but it is definitely a place to come with a lot of time, the food from the restaurant The pyramid is too exquisite, except for the beef that was dry, out of there the staff is very friendly and Cheerful, Pure life!

The pools were amazing and plenty warm for us to relax our worn muscles after a long day of hiking. The drink prices are steep roughly 10 dollars a pop which is to be expected at a resort so be ready for that. I also had a hard time finding a pool to cool down in so hit the showers from time to time to cool down. All in all a great place to rest after a day of adventure. The views and atmosphere is beautiful but be aware this isn't a natural hot spring if you are looking for the natural hot spring and resort atmosphere look to Tabacon.

Loved it! Friendly staff very accommodating. Pools were great different temperatures up to 109 degrees. Loved the natural sauna. Bathtub in room. Went to Tabacon as well pools not hot enough-liked baldi better. Hated to leave. Luxurios.

Excellent place to spend a day of relaxation in one of the most beautiful places of Costa Rica: next to the Arenal volcano, which you have in the background while enjoying hot springs with an excellent temperature and an unsurpassable climate. Highly recommended to visit if you have the opportunity.

Great place with a number of different pools with varying temperatures. And unlike some other places, they have real natural hot springs. Staying in the hotel is fully worth it as you can go to the pools whenever you like, and avoid the day — trippers. It was awesome to have the whole pool to ourselves in the mornings and evenings! Very nice staff, clean rooms, great breakfast.

Hot Springs. The entrance fee is paid, the whole territory of the complex and dinner are included in the room price.
At the reception do not forget to pay the locker, it costs 3500 colon. Towels are issued on bail.

The springs are a perfect 10! The facilities are kept clean. Lockers and towels available for rent. Food was good but not seasoned well and Kind of bland. But the springs are wonderful. The higher up you go the hotter the temperature.

TOTAL relaxation… excellent place to stay or pay the day pass and collect all your piscomas with different temperatures.
The trails are pretty nice for those who like to walk around and see all the nature.
Its exquisite food and its cafeteria is not said… if the family is large it leaves a little expensive… but it is a place that is worth going to know… super recommended.

Seems a bit of a tourist trap. I had been expecting something more natural when I first heard about it. What they do have is a lot of different resort style pools of various temperatures (assuming it must be hot spring fed or thermally heated for economic reasons). I have small kids so most of those weren't much use to us but they do have a nice kids pool and a pretty cool water slide for adventurous kids. Buffet restaurant included in our pass was reasonably good for a buffet. Really good fresh fruit available.

Beautiful. I relaxed for most of the day. I paid $35. I knew there were also for $3 or free. But I chose this and I liked it.

The best choice of hot springs. It's worth every colon invested. It is best to buy the daily pass or rent in the hotel, since a full day is worth being. Excellent state of the facilities, excellent view, quite pleasant waters (between hotter and hotter) and cold water to relax after getting into the hot. Definitely my best experience with hot springs.

We came for the hot spring pools and were not disappointed. The water temperature goes up the further uphill you go. There's 68F/20C cool pools in the larger pools and several jacuzzis inside the larger hot ones. There's one insanely hot pool with a "natural steam bath" that is so hot you have to slowly descent into it like a sloth! An amazing rejuvenating experience well worth the price of the day pass!

Stay in the pools pleasant and with different environments. What I regret is that you have to book lunch time. After 3 hours of hot springs we were very hungry! The pool with music is not of family atmosphere.

Whenever I visit foreign friends I take you to know the Arenal area, where there are many options for hot springs, but Baldi is certainly the best choice of all, both for nationals and foreigners. The complex is lush greenery and its pools of different temperatures will make you not want to leave. I recommend buying the ticket package with your tour operator before you will get a better price than at the reception of the complex.

I went at night enjoyed the different temperature pools. There was an awesome slide very quick very fast so be careful when descending into the pool if there are people crowded around the bottom. Lots of trees and plants creating a very nice ambience at night very relaxing. The food for the buffet was OK not to my liking in particular.

We spent the day at Baldi enjoying the hot springs, and we had lunch and dinner at the hotel. The bathing areas have different styles and temperatures, so spending an entire day did not seem boring at any point. Every area is surrounded by vegetation providing a relaxing environment and a sense of privacy. The food is not a highlight, but it isn't terrible. Its best quality is that you don't have to leave to eat it, which leaves more time for relaxing. I personally lived all the hot water. I came from the northern Midwest US in the dead of winter on the end of a nasty cold. I had coughed enough to dislocate a rib, and a day of resting in the hot pools helped with the pain immensely. This place is absolutely worth it if you can get a full day in. Go early; stay late.

We went up on two separate day trips. The hot springs are nice and there are lots of different pools. You an pick the temperature by switching `pools. There is a kids play water park and a hot spring with three adult water slides. If you are wet, you can sit and eat at the bar near the front entrance, however, if you are dry, you can sit in the nice restaurant in the middle of the hot springs. It is a nice afternoon diversion. Prices are decent for the food. I wish they had showers for when you changed to leave.

Amazing place to have hot springs at. The conserved nature and air was amazing. Lucious trees and great lights. And a great dinner package that comes with it as well. Though I'd prefer to be able to eat for longer than an hour. They limit the time to control traffic. The slides we're more on the intense side so it is all at your own risk. It is a huge area so the only improvements I'd suggest is a trolley to go between the sections. Will definitely go again.

The 25 thermal pools of the volcano are great as well as the restaurant it's all the interest of the place as well as the view of the volcano El Arenal for some rooms. The staff is pro but the average rooms for the price.

I went in Dec 2017 for a couples vacation and came down the slides after 30 minutes at the springs and smashed both my knees on the pool bottom. I required an ambulance to the hospital where I required stitches and the rest of my vacation is effectively ruined. The staff paid for my medical bills, which was appreciated, and the grounds were beautiful. However, in looking at other reviews, this is not an isolated incident, and people are quite often hurt on those slides, and others much more seriously than smashed knees. Support another, safer hot springs in the area, of which there are many. If you do go, keep away from the slides.

We did not stay at the resort but as visitors to the springs we were treated very well. The springs were amazing with different temperature springs varying for everyone. The bartenders made excellent drinks that were strong but also not to weak. The pyramid restaurant is a beautiful place with a great buffet and staff.

This resort is beautiful! The grounds are well kept and the rooms are gorgeous. This was my second time staying here and I've noticed a change in the attitude of people working here. Front desk people are very helpful, however the security and restaurant workers were very cold. I'll definitely be trying a different resort my next time in la fortuna.

Decent amount of hot springs of varying temperatures. Food was ok. Hotel resort is very nice upscale. I prefer my hot springs to be more out doors in nature than setup like a resort pool. Otherwise a nice place.

This place is amazing. The hot springs are fantastic and gorgeous. It surpassed all my expectations. Best resort I've ever been to. There are like 20 pools here it's UNREAL. The water slides here are hardcore and way fast. So much fun had here and I am definitely coming back on my next trip to Costa Rica.

Awesome hot breakfast! Comfortable accommodations. The spring pools were fun to explore. The grounds reminded us of Disney's Polynesian.

Beautiful place. Water slides were very fast. Only complaint was the prices at the bar. $6 for a beer and $12 for a cocktail (after tax and tip)

We had a wonderful time in the springs, but I highly recommend staying elsewhere and visiting the springs. The rooms and food onsite were very pricey and just mediocre. If you do stay at the hotel, be sure that you check all of your charges and check the minibar upon check in. Overall the customer service was great, but we were treated very poorly at check out. Apparently, the maid service does not check the minibar on a regular basis and the attendant at the checkout tried to charge us $10 for a bottle of juice that someone else drank 1/3 of of the bottle. We spent 20 mins at checkout arguing with the guy. It was a terrible feeling after spending so much money at the establishment. I will not stay there again nor will I recommend the hotel.

Excellent place for adults. For kids cross the street and go to Kalambú hot springs.
The buffet restaurant is enough reason to go to this place. Friendly staff and place very well designed and maintained.

This resort is amazing. I will definitely visit again. The hot springs start at the bottom which is cool then as you go up to different ones it gets hotter. The higher you go is close to the volcano so it's definitely worth it. Plus they have bars in some of the hot springs which is pretty nice. There is a restaurant in between the first half of the hot springs and the beginning. So enjoy at your leisure.

Thermal pool were awesome and super clean. Water quality is incredible. We closed our day with a great dinner buffet. Food was excellent.

Spectacular Pools with different temperatures and some with a bar. I really recommend going there no matter what whether it is. The price is ok and the facilities are clean, we were not really satisfied with the staff.

In general the very good deal and service. Many people arrive on Saturdays and Sundays to use the facilities. So I recommend that if you don't like a lot of people in the same area go on weekdays, they can also take advantage of the first hours of the day.

The Springs is a great place to visit. It can have a slightly romantic vibe, there are a lot of honeymooners walking around. However lots of families as well. Drinks are super expensive $5 for a soda, $10 for an adult beverage. The place was clean and well worth the stop.

The place very nice. The buffet food lacked variety. The attention in the Italian restaurant was very poor; there was No one else in the entire restaurant, however, the attention was slow. At the end we ask for dessert and the job of waiter made an expression of disgust and did not stop to see the clock, and told us that they would bring the dessert and the bill. Or is it lack of information to guests or is disorder because the schedules were not met. For example We were told that all the bars opened at 10 am. As to the 10 30 had 2 bars and not attend, we ended up in the bar closest to the reception, where we were still not attending, after spending about 10 minutes told us the boy. "I am going to attend, that is what you want, although I'm still not ready" to be a 5-star hotel leaves much to be desired.

The rooms, spotless, air conditioned, tv, Wi-Fi, bath towels, hot water, clothes dryer, iron, veranda, soap and stuff, a safe, in order to all, what one expects for the price so excessive that charge. The thermal water is very beautiful, relaxing trails, the views and all that, perfect. Hence the good rating that it gets the place, since almost no one staying in the hotel so expensive that it is. What makes me put only 3 stars was the attention. As the inflated price is not included, nor lunch, nor dinner, we decided to pay the buffet for $22 per person, overall good food but very little variety for the price, in addition to the entree had guarded only the employee could serve him, and almost begging to serve more. But the main problem was not there, in the dinner to take advantage of the time to the maximum we decided to go to 9 in the evening, they close at 10, since we ran out of table in order not to dirty the that were prepared for breakfast the next day, after we made a bad face and turned to see the clock constantly, by what we ask for as quickly as possible after you deliver us the food, it disappeared, the two people who were attending, so once we finished up, we couldn't ask for dessert, once appeared again we ask for the dessert, and with a bad face after seeing the clock again, we say that is the last thing you give to us and that in addition to the dessert we were going to bring the bill to us we were.

The place is amazing. I bought the package that includes food, it was ok but it wasn't the maximum. At the time of going to the thermal waters, the experience was wonderful. There are a few water slides are very fun, the view of the volcano is impressive.

Remains as the best site of hot springs, has many pools with different temperatures, water jets just to relax your neck and shoulders, natural sauna, etc Tip: The entrance can be get in many hotels at a discounted price.

We just visited the pools, but they were amazing! Definitely worth the somewhat pricey $35 entrance fee.

It was beautiful. Lots of hot springs with varying temperatures. Only a few cool pools. It was really sunny and hot outside, so we weren't as comfortable in the hot springs. I would have probably enjoyed it a lot it was cooler outside. Not busy before 2pm. The lunch buffet was excellent. Food was delicious and the service was great.

We stay one day and everythig was amazine. Great place to be with family and friends. But be careful, one day here is two or three some where else but a nice treat for me and my girlfriend… we came in the slow season and prices were afortable $150 We love it. We be back and we will stay one or two days again.

A great place to rest. Large swimming pools, sauna, spa and a great Buffet for the night. But be careful where you buy because you can get it for $40 or less with dinner.

Very fun, awesome set up, great service. After paying to get in you have to pay additional money for a locker and put down a deposit for a towel which is a little annoying (it would be nice to just pay more and have that included). Some of the pools can be very hot (>110 degrees) but there are many colder ones as well. All in all a fun time and great for R&R.

Baldi isn't worth the nearly 4 hour drive from San Jose, once you've spent a bit of time in the pools, FYI there are only pools, no actual hot springs, it gets very boring. How many times can you go down a water slide or soak till you look like a prune before it gets dull? The staff is unhelpful, and disorgaized, even by Tico standars and I find the towel policy insulting (a towel card that must be kept on your person) after spending $300 on a room. The dining options are poor, a buffet the that did not look apatizing and an overpriced "Italian" restaurant. Don't waste your time or money on Baldi.

Awesome get away place, you can enjoy the pools with different temperatures according to your needs, there is a sauna and a all-you-can-eat restaurant at the top of the hill.

Staff was not to helpful. Lay out by lockers was crazy, congested and chaotic. Food was good. Just hot tubs. No real hot springs. And temp was off on the tubs from what the posted temperature was.

Do not do discounts for seniors, children under age, or national, at the reception do not explain all there is to ride asking, it would be better that you give all the info.

Very touristy setup, but overall a great experience! My girlfriend and I did not stay at the hotel. We bought a dinner/hot spring package. There are water slides, swim up bars, hot and cold pools, towel and locker rentals. The dinner was buffet styled. Food was okay. Staff was polite and accommodating.

Kitsch in this environment, but we gave it a good bath of hot water and jets in the numerous pools. Also has three slides. The dinner that came included in the price (these are the bathrooms more expensive the area, but I want the new) was very poor.

Unbridled fun to be had. Showed up late in the evening during the middle of a thunderstorm. Most cleared out, leaving no lines at the slides allowing for ride after ride. Nearly lost my card in the waters but the lifeguards were a huge help and offered their goggles to see. Good variety of pools, great place to relax, have fun, and enjoy a few drinks (of which they will pour more generously if you only ask). Highly recommended!

Baldi Hot Springs Resort is one of the classic tourist spots in La Fortuna, Arenal area. It's a place tourists, that visit CR, needs to see and experience. There are different sized & designed pools with bars, lights, music, & some with slides and an enclosed cave like steam area, with varying degrees (literally) of "hotness". The first dip seems to make you say. I can't take this! This is too HOT for me. But once you settle in, it's Soooo Relaxing! Tourists should be aware that in CR, there are always two prices, one for the Ticos (locals), and the other for the visitors. I totally get this, as the Ticos share their country's natural beauty with the world, they have to offset this by giving themselves discounts in order for them to be able to afford these higher starred resorts. So this goes with Baldi. It's not cheap but definitely worth it. My advise is to go here during non-peak hours or seasons in order to avoid the crowd and enjoy these pools. People do come in bus loads here. When is the best time? I'm not quite sure. When me & my wife visited last Feb, we drove from San Jose to LA Fortuna (3 hrs) and we arrived there before lunch time. We paid for the resort pool entrance with lunch. It was not a buffet as there were only about 2 or 3 more tables occupied including ours. Their a la carte was delicious from the appetizers to deserts. The staff from the front desk to the waiters were hospitable and helpful.

Many options of pools. Very clean. Immersed in the nature. I recommend the indoor "roman bath" to 47°C. They Also need to organize your trip to bathe at night, very nice lighting, a completely different atmosphere. Tip. If you buy the entrance in the hotel or tourism agency… Comes out cheaper.

Sore throat from screaming and laughing after river rafting for two hours in the Balsa River. Exhilarated. A tad soaked, but careless I was welcomed with a frozen pink drink at the entrance of the Baldi Hot Spring Hotel Resort & Spa. Grandiose entrance impossible to miss or even be closed, for that matter. Doomed to welcome you regardless of the hour. Noise of cascading water and bachata music played from the disco above. A kind of Latin American version of angelic voices. Can heaven have hot and steamy pools? The first pool (of 25 hot spring pools) right at the entrance prophesied exuberance. From the lush three-hour drive from Liberia, one can’t imagine this well-thought out construction. You are in the boonies. Yet, this particular boonies makes the crazy and lengthy trip beyond worth it. The four-story bedroom building overlooks the Arenal Volcano. Views in every direction possible, assuming that you can manage to take your eyes off the stoned paths leading to the different pools, or the cascades, or the orchids. The higher you climb (through the pools themselves), the hotter the water. Everyone enjoyed strutting around wearing the white bathrobes. One extravagant pajama party of guests of all ages. I casually discovered a bar right on the middle pool that served an amazing mojito… or two…or three… The Cuba libres done with Flor de Caña reminded me of home. Vegetation glowing emerald green. Behind the steam, everyone mysterious. Enjoyed dinner at Virgita Restaurant.

Didn't stay there, but spent the $30 to enjoy the springs for an afternoon. Great layout, tons of different pools and temperatures, well worth the money. Suggest skipping the buffet dinner and heading into La Fortuna instead.

Worth a visit! Get vouchers in your hotel or a tour desk, and you'll usually get a better deal than just walking in. Come prepared with your swim trunks and other stuff you'll need for water sports. Have fun! The dinner buffet needs to improve though. It's all industry-scale food. Good, but doesn't match costa rican quality.
