Amazing and peaceful resort just 20min from SJO. Beautiful grounds, uniquely designed and very spacious guest room with large terraces and enough outdoor furniture to take in the amazing views of the surrounding hills. The restaurant service and food quality are excellent. The spa is superb and their three large pools are perfect. The best part is their amazing network of trails on the resort grounds, along the river leading to 5 waterfalls! I will definitely recommend this resort and I hope to return soon!

It is an extraordinary place, besides cerquisima, the customer service is excellent, they know how to deal with human quality, all the staff is special and above all they treated us as queens, delicious food, a beautiful view, a place to which we have to definitely return! Super recommended!

Good location close to San Jose airport with gorgeous views on the valley. The morning buffet has decent selection. Rooms are spacious with enough space between the villas to have your privacy. Beautiful property to walk around.

One of my favorite places we stayed in Costa Rica. Stayed that one night but I would love to come stay again longer. The pool, grounds, and views are stunning. The breakfast was amazing, the most delicious fresh fruit! (plus toast, eggs, cheese, etc) the staff were all very nice. Beautiful shower as well. There is no air conditioning, but in early November, we didn’t need it. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Highly recommend.

Amazing hotel! A short drive from the airport, beautifully designed/decorated. Walking around the grounds was very nice (there are waterfalls, coffee plantation, 3 pools, and other sights/amenities). The dinner was delicious (and a lot of options). The room was comfortable, and the shower felt very luxurious. No complaints!

Really nice place to stay. It has many waterfalls and pools it's own spa and the best part is that they're all walking distance from your private Villa which sits at the top of a mountain/hill with a view of the city that's priceless. The rooms are beautiful and spacious. I highly recommend the Xandari for a stay in Costa Rica should you choose to visit.

Spacious room with very comfortable beds and fantastic views of San Jose and Alajuela. Amazing grounds with hiking trails and waterfalls and 3 pools (one with a Jacuzzi and spectacular vistas for sunsets. The staff was warm and friendly and went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. Only 20 minutes from the airport so it makes great first or last nights stay in San Jose.

Beautiful grounds and stunning views. What an amazing place to spend our first two nights in Costa Rica, it is the perfect place to chill out and relax after our flight from the UK, great food, wonderful staff and the grounds of the hotel are a real treat.

Really unique micro hotel, perched up in the hills views of the city were awesome. On site restaurant also has nice views, food and drinks were great, nice breakfast too. We had a upgraded room, well worth it, very private. The property has a great, well marked trail running the perimeter of the property, the descent to the larger water fall was well worth it, the ascent up was quite the work out. Close to the airport, which is another reason we spent the last night of our trip there. Will definitely go back next time in Costa Rica.

We stayed at this small resort that sits at the top of a hill northwest of San Jose at the end of our 9 trip to Costa Rica. The large spectacularly beautiful grounds are covered with meticulously maintained trees and flowers. Trails meander down to the creek that runs through a gorge. The rooms are large and beautifully decorated. Our room had a private deck overlooking the valley containing Alajuela and San Jose. The dinner is served on an open air deck. The menu selections are broad. Service is excellent. The buffet breakfast is taken at the same deck. Selections include eggs, yogurt, fruit, cereals. A platform just off the deck has fruit to attract birds. Both check-in and check-out were fast and smooth. This not an inexpensive resort but it is well worth it.

It's a nice place, where you're in touch with nature.

Beautiful place in the mountains for international tourism, but the Nationals can go for coffee, some appetizer, watching the Central Valley from the heights of Alajuela.

For my taste the best hotel in Costa Rica in town. Beautiful, its gardens and spectacular paths, its warm pool and Jacuzzi very comfortable and with an unsurpassed view. The restaurant very rich but somewhat priced up in comparison to the rest of the city.

Excellent place, very rich food, affordable prices, hotel to go with family, the attention is excellent, the staff very friendly, has spa and several pools, plus waterfalls with trails if people want can go with a guide, there are birds view and a lot Nature.

The food tasted great but it took four attempts to get our order correct.

We've just been 2 nights there and felt as in paradise. My recommendation: don't come in the high season and you'll get a private hotel.

It has a good quality restaurant, but the best is the beautiful panorama!

The grounds are so beautiful and well kept. They have trails through citrus groves that lead to waterfalls right on the resort. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. The food is not that great, however, and was overpriced and underwhelming.

Unfortunately too expensive for our budget but we had a great lunch there admiring the view over the San Jose valley, even did a short tour through the property for free after lunch.

A great place to stay. They have a few waterfalls you can hike to. The staff is very friendly. A large property with lime trees, and mangos. I'm sure more fruit trees I haven't seen. They use all of their fruit from their own garden, and hand make they bread. The complementary breakfast consist of fresh fruits, cereal, hand squeeze orange juice, home made bread, and coffee. They do have a breakfast menu where you can order food from that have eggs, pancakes, and some traditional Costa Rican food from at extra cost. Great dinner and room views.

Beautiful, peaceful, relaxing, well taken care of. The only thing I didn't like is the price of the food. Very good but if very high the price for what you received.

Didnt have an experience. The place looks great, but the sales attendant said she was leaving for the day when she took the reservation. I told her to reserve until she had more time to speak the following day, but DO NOT charge the credit card. She said she would only have "on file". She charged it for $2100+ anyway. That same day within 5 minutes of getting off the phone. She likely marked it down on her end of week sales sheet too. She sent the information and terms & conditions to the wrong email for 3 months after we told her to change it. A hurricane hit Costa Rica and our honeymoom had to be cancelled. Fernando the manager refused to refund any amount and compared themselves to Hyatt, Hilton, or any other real hospitality establishment. He offered full credit for 12 months, but the taste left our mouths sour and we are unable to drop all things and travel to Costa Rica later in the year. Its probably a great place, but book through a third-party with insurance if possible. They will screw you. We are still in financial dispute with this business.

Excellent architecture and attention.

When I West to Xandari I loved all The colors, The freedom That I had to Walk Alone, and The grieta Villas. Alzo I loved The polos and The Food. The Food ay Xandari is so fresh. I love Xandari.

A true 5 star… best resort I been too… the grounds are amazing… 2 private waterfalls… staff was great too.

Our arrival was after the front desk had closed. Someone was waiting to take us to our Villa where a fruit and cheese plate had been left in case we had not had food on the flight. We took two excursions: one to market in town and to the Doke Coffee Plantation. The staff at the reception desk were helpful. The restaurant staff were very accommodating. They make adjustments to the meals to meet our needs. The fresh fish was good' and the breakfast with all the fresh ripe fruit was great! Days of sun at the infinity pool and walking the botanical trails and a hike to the waterfalls provided enough activity to prepare for another meal. I can't want to return.

Amazing view and a huge and wonderful own garden.

Fantastic resort and a great place to relax. Stunning views from the dining area. Several pools and hot tub options. Trails for hiking and exploring the grounds. Excellent spa. Great restaurant, with many food options sourced nearby (fresh fruit, eggs, and herbs). The room was immaculate and comfortable, including a private lavatory and large shower.

After waiting for half an hour and ordered we warn me wife that ordered it was not available that if you want to order another dish, logical not ordered another dish as it possibly would take another half hour. That failure.

We visited the restaurant and everything was excellent: service, quality, and quantity of the dishes, atmosphere and a beautiful view of the valley. We took the opportunity to get to know the rooms and the spa, very beautiful and with a driving aesthetic to be very suitable.

Great, I would recommend this hotel after 15 hours of traveling! The rooms are superb with views of San Jose, a course in the vegetation which puts in the atmosphere, the service is impeccable. Very well to recover.

A beautiful hotel in Costa Rica with lots of nature without a doubt one of the best hotels to costa rica, my family and I when we traveled to Costa Rica we enjoyed this hotel so much nature that it has, it also has some really nice Cabins (no TV as this hotel is to enjoy the nature, but if they have Wi-Fi) without a doubt this place is worth to go with family and friends.

Absolutely stunning resort with even more stunning views from it's main pool area. Beautifully manicured grounds rich with flora. Great included breakfast and fresh juices. Lovely hike down to several waterfalls. The last one is beautiful. We planned to take day trip around the area but we loved the grounds of this resort so much that we just spent all out time hiking at the property, and at the pool. Restaurant serves great food and delicious desserts.

The Xandari Resort and Spa is a little slice of heaven tucked across from the mountains of Costa Rica. I Love this place. Good people, good food, good spa, and good living.
