Amazing bungalow just next to the beach, delicious food (dinner and lunch) the breakfast serves everything you need. Cool and relaxed staff.

Loved it. Would certainly recommend and will certainly be back.

We recently stayed a week in a garden unit. Found that comfortable, staff good, breakfasts healthy and satisfying. A quiet place which we appreciated and only a short walk to a store with good food supplies. The Thursday night happy hour and accompanying music was a highlight. However, like a person who has posted below — I must qualify my appreciation of the place by commenting on the arrogance and rudeness of a staff member, in this case the man driving the shuttle. We had our early morning departure time changed by him and given 10 minutes notice. He shouted at us, was abusive, and threatened to leave us there. It was most distressing and quite unacceptable behaviour (and unnecessary as we were in no danger of being late for our flight). I had intended to send an email to Palm Grove detailing this incident but as it seems that he may not be the only one at the resort with an unfortunate attitude to some guests I have decided to post this here. A shame as other staff were helpful and kind and it was an otherwise enjoyable stay.

Great resort with beach and garden rooms at reasonable rates. Had a beachfront bungalow with a spectacular view. I will repeat!

We would have given Palm Grove a 5* rating for its good food, nice and clean rooms, highly motivated staff (pick-up guy, ladies at the restaurant, house maids as well as the reception girls were just really very kind altogether! ) as well as the nice location. However: the owner of Palm Grove deserves 1* star and 1* only! She is a rude, unfriendly and uncooperative lady. But let me explain. We had made a booking for 3 nights and when we checked in, we were told by the very nice reception lady that she was glad she got a room for us (well, hello what are you talking about? ) and declared that they only have 3 different rooms for 3 days. Meaning, we would have to change rooms EVERY DAY. Although annoying and clearly a nuisance for us, we were given a discount by the nice lady at the counter, so that was okay. We could have lived with it, considering we also got a free bottle of champagne (honeymoon gift) and we're very laid back travellers! :-) BUT: the behaviour of the owner afterwards was just plain rude and very unprofessional. After the 2nd room change, I went to the reception to ask if we couldn't stay in the 2nd room one more night as I knew it would have been possible. (We had been told at the beginning that there was 1 more guest who hadn't shown up. He should have shown up the morning before we arrived. The excuse why we couldn't stay in 1 room even for 2 nights was as of this moment: "he might show up any minute and when he does, he deserves a room".

Really nice huts right on the beach. Just beautiful.

We stayed at a house separately managed from the hotel but they gave us an awesome deal on a 2 bedroom house for our family of 4 and got to use their facilities and all the alcoholic drinks are free on fridays or was it sunday… check on that.

Great place to stay for a relaxing holiday. Choice of garden and beach bungalows as well as a 3 bedroom house for larger groups. Laundry is on site as well as a pool and free access to snorkeling and kayak gear. Buffet breakfast is great with heaps of fresh fruit. Great cocktails at the bar and don't miss out on the BBQ if you get the chance. Only down side (on the entire island) is the huge amount of free roaming roosters calling out bright and early.

Very friendly and helpfully. Out of all the crowds. Nice beach. Wonderfull sunsets Food great.

Palm grove are just the best place to stay always willing to go the extra mile for you the coolest staff and we always meet the coolest people everytime we stay there plus all the staff in the restaurant are always so happy love to have a good laugh with you and make sure you eat well Phillip & Rachel Timaru nz.
