FANTASTIC!
What an amazing holiday. Luxury apartments. Fantastic spot. The pool was wonderful, staff friendly and engaging, catered to our every need, beautifully kept premises. Very family friendly. Each unit was perfect — very self contained and clean. Very private too, the two bedroom villas have a little outdoor space that is sheltered by some trees and shrubs for extra privacy. Everyone had an amazing time and absolutely recommend. The included Nautilus breakfast was perhaps the best food of the entire holiday.

My stay at The Muri Resort was, unfortunately, a disappointing experience despite its promising setting. The resort is undeniably well-located, with pleasant grounds and a decent pool area. However, these positives were overshadowed by multiple shortcomings.
Several advertised amenities were either unavailable or not functioning. The Jacuzzi bath in our room was broken, and the in-house movie channel—listed as part of the offering—did not exist. These are not minor oversights but basic expectations, especially when they are explicitly included in the booking description.
The most significant issue, however, was the room itself. We specifically chose and paid for a lagoon-view room, largely based on the photos and description provided. Instead, we were assigned a pool-view room. When this was raised with staff, the explanation given—that it is “technically” a lagoon view if you step outside and look in a particular direction—was both misleading and unacceptable.
While the staff member acknowledged the discrepancy, no meaningful effort was made to rectify the situation. This lack of accountability and failure to address a clear misrepresentation left a particularly negative impression.
Overall, the resort does not deliver on what it advertises, and the mismatch between expectation and reality significantly detracts from the experience.

Loved this eco-friendly resort. 3 of us stayed in a 2 bedroom villa which had a kitchenette and right by the pool. Great facilities and the premium breakfast/service was awesome. All the staff were lovely and great at their jobs! Excellent location in Muri. Walking distance to Captain Tama's, Te Vara Nui, Tiare's, Muri Night Market etc. It was expensive (for us) but it was very worth it! Loved the clothes drying rack — such a helpful addition.

100% would recommend this accommodation without hesitation. We stayed here twice during our trip (5 nights and 7 nights). They have snorkelling gear, reef shoes, paddleboards and kayaks for you to use.
We stayed in the garden villas (2 separate ones) and they were both perfect for us (myself and my husband). The pool was also great (I used it every single day on both of our stays).
The staff were really helpful in making phone calls to book different things.
It might not be as fancy as some of the other hotels in the muri beach area, but to save $200+ dollars a night that we could put towards other activities and also have a beautiful, peaceful, perfect accommodation — it was a no brainer choice for us to stay here.

Muri beach resort was fantastic for our little group of friends! The staff were all friendly and happy to help, as well as the room and facilities being superb. Having access to snorkel gear and kayaks etc, definitely made the trip so much better! Biggest complaint we had was that our Wi-Fi was very poor, even though we had bought the premium Wi-Fi upgrade. The Wi-Fi would constantly cut out or log us out at night where we could not log back in — and the reception was closed. The maintenance didn’t do anything — just essentially said “ah, the Wi-Fi has more difficulty with apple devices”, which was very frustrating to hear after paying $50, expecting to have good Wi-Fi. Also we were only informed AFTER buying the Wi-Fi that it is only for two devices — so keep this in mind. We also were missing a phone and laundry bag in our room — likely something that was overlooked by the preparatory staff? Though overall — a fantastic stay. Highly recommend the included breakfast package — definitely worth the money. Would definitely come here again, and hope they improve their Wi-Fi for in future.

The only drawback is the lagoon is not as healthy as it should be and the algae bloom is a bit smelly. This is on the tidal line, once you get past that, it’s fine.

Set in beautiful gardens right next to the beach, this resort is small but lovely. There are 22 villas, most facing the gardens but also a couple of beach front villas. There is also a pool. The villas range from recently refurbished (lagoon view villas) to slightly dated but all very clean and well equipped. We had premium service, which included daily housekeeping (good to keep clean and bugs to a minimum) and daily breakfast (served at the Nautilus hotel next door). Breakfast was a buffet, with a few order items, but plenty of choice. There is also a takeaway across the road (Rima’s Bakery) which has good reasonably priced food. The Muri night market and Rarotonga Sailing club are just a 5 minute walk. There is also the TEM small convenience store there too. The beach in front of the resort is lovely but the water is shallow and a bit rocky. Kayaks and paddle boards are available for free hire. We found snorkelling was better near the Rarotongan Resort. Our favourite activity was snorkelling with the turtles. We used Moana Sea scooters. We only had 6 in our group. It was so much fun. Please remember to use mosquito repellent, as there are mosquitos about. Enjoy the fun in the sun.

We love this place, it was our second visit to Muri Beach Resort and will not be the last! The resort is just so beautiful. The Gardens are always immaculate, and the outlook over the lagoon just stunning. The resort has a fantastic pool in the centre with nice loungers situated around it and a BBQ area very close by. We made great use of the BBQ and pool. The location of this resort is perfect, There are so many great eateries and restaurants very close by, The best being Tiares. Tiares has amazing food, service and live music. Just sooo good to chill to the local bands while the suns going down on a great day.
The lagoon has a great population of turtles and offered relatively good snorkelling. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back.

Great location in Muri Beach, excellent breakfast each morning at Nautilus Resort. The pool at both Nautilus Resort and Muri Beach Resort are great. Overall a great stay and would highly recommend.

Had a wonderful time at Muri Beach Resort. The room was lovely and clean. Fully air conditioned with fans also in the room as it was super hot outside. Easy access to the water for snorkeling. Also has a pool which was perfect. Short walk to the night markets, Captain Tamas as well as the Avis rental so a very good location. Got picked up and dropped off to the airport and everything was arranged very well. Jayme was amazing at reception and Made was friendly and helpful!

Lovely property, very much enjoyed our stay. The pool was great set back out of the wind. The rooms a good size, clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. Was easy to go next door for meals and loved having a clean tidy BBQ are on site.

The resort was delightful. We stayed in a beach view suite with kitchenette and spa bath. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were outstanding and always willing to do that little bit extra to make our stay more enjoyable.
With access to the Nautilus restaurant and bar next door, the Muri Beach Resort is great value for money.
With direct access to the beach, we paddled a kayak out into the lagoon and snorkelled amongst the colourful tropical fish and sea turtles. The water was crystal clear and warm. This is close enough to paradise.

We are a retired couple from Christchurch, New Zealand, and we wanted a quiet, tropical holiday, close to amenities and entertainment, where we could go out on the water, snorkeling, swimming, and joining lagoon cruises. Muri Beach Resort was perfect for us. The location on the lagoon, close to good restaurants, a small supermarket, the night market, cafes and bars, a bus stop opposite, the museum, cruises etc wonderful. The hosts at the resort were friendly and helpful, providing transport to Avarua, the main town, to the Saturday market and other venues as requested. The accommodation was independent villas, with a small kitchen so we could do our own cooking with local produce. Everything was clean, beautifully appointed and comfortable.
We loved the choice of food at the night market6s, and enjoyed drinks at the Nautilus next door. Lunches at Trader Jacks in town were always a hit. The day out with Captain Tama's cruise was excellent. We were sorry to miss our planned trip to Aitutaki, because the day trip looked really great, but a tropical storm intervened and we couldn't go. Next time, I hope, and we would certainly look to book again at Muri Beach Resort, because of our amazing experience there.

We stayed at the resort with another couple and shared the 3 bedroom house. It is equipped with everything you need, especially the kitchen — although the men weren't so keen on having to wash the dishes!
The staff at this resort are very friendly and go out of their way to greet you and help with any requests you have. The resort is right alongside the beach and is well served with meal and grocery options all within walking distance. The buses (in both directions) stop just outside the resort so you can travel around the island if you are not hiring a car. We all had a relaxing and enjoyable stay here and would happily recommend it to others.

We recently stayed at Muri Beach Resort for seven nights. It is a great spot and the water was just down the pathway. We had a two bedroom unit which was basically equipped, but had a good sized fridge freezer. The lagoon was very shallow while we were there, but the water temperature was amazing and there were some fish to see. There is an island that can be walked across the water to and just down the beach you can book a glass bottomed boat trip to another island with a couple of different providers. It was 'off season' so the resort was very peaceful. Next door is the Nautalis resort and restaurant which we used several times. The food was beautiful and it was nice to just walk through the gardens to dinner.

We loved our time at Muri Beach Resort. So close to the water for snorkeling, pool was great to cool off too. Staff so friendly and helpful. Complementary breakfast was so good to start the day, no lunch for us! Different food options close also. Totally recommend.

We spent a week in Rarotonga to escape the worst of New Zealand winter's end. The weather was mostly sunny and warm (24 degrees Celsius) with the odd rainfall. The Resort was perfect for us. The location at Muri Beach was special with lagoon cruises and night shows and easy availability to cafes and activities. The Resort provided all the equipment to enjoy the lagoon and has a wonderful swimming pool (note the lagoon waters are warmer). Wee were welcomed and well looked after. The staff were friendly and helpful and Wi-Fi was good and reliable. The Resort, located right alongside the larger Nautilus Resort, is highly recommended by my wife and I.
