Itsandra Beach Hotel & Resort

I came to have a relaxing vacation on the beach in Comoros. Unfortunately, this hotel seemed to make that impossible. Firstly, the staff are very unhelpful and don’t respond. Then there is terrible construction all day long, with no notice on the website or by email when you book. There is also no gym or pool as listed on the internet. When I raised my concern it was responded to by saying they would get back to me but never did. Then they decided to close for a private event, and would not serve hotel guests dinner. When raising the issues, the management was very defensive, saying he did not care about guests or negative reviews as he was going to demolish the hotel the next year.

Do you love construction work sound? Then you will love this place. Picture a beautiful beach and a restaurant with a lovely view where you hear (loud, non stopping) construction work sounds. Isn’t that great? And not in a specific part of the hotel, everywhere from 6am to 8pm, so you can enjoy this great repetitive sound when you wake up, during meals (including dinner), or when you’re at beach (surrounded by construction workers enjoying the people in swimsuit).
It’s a unique experience where you can be by the sea while not even being able to hear the sea.
In a serious note, the only reason this guys exist is because there’s no alternative on the island otherwise no one would come here.

Excellent location with beach and nice garden with seaview. Hotel looks rather tired, in desperate need of redecorating and of a lighting consultant. Rooms are Spartan and walls are paper thin. The pool has been empty for many months now. The quality of all food is below average. Reception staff are not really interested in the guests. The rest of the staff was very polite and helpful.

On booking for hotel there is avaliable room, we come to reception and we get information that all rooms are booked, and on booking still shows avaliable room, they say it was mistake by their reservation department.
They offered us to check in at 9pm after airplane crew checks out, we said we will have lunch in restaurant and wait cinfirmation. We come to ask for that room, one receptionist has thold me room will be avaliable, but housekeeping is not avaliable to prepare the room. Other receptionist after one minute said room is not avaliable, that they got info that flight was delayed for next day, and no one come to inform us. We were siting over 2h in restaurant.
Place is nice, unfortunatelly totally unprofessional staff and I would never reccomend this hotel to anyone.

Location is good and overall atmosphere is nice. Food is good but nothing special. Rooms are big but bit out of date.
Bit over priced. Staff is helpful but if you ask them to get a taxi for you pleace make sure you get some extra time. They called a taxi for us for the morning we were leaving and it was so late that we missed our check-in time on the airport.

Very nice hotel, great location and exceptional service! Food at the restaurant is great and quality of ingredients is amazing.

I stayed for one week in April during a business trip.
I often travel and know what I need regarding comfort, connectivity, dinners, etc.
This hotel brings everything I expected. The spot is fantastic, with a wonderful view of the sea. The garden is green and offers a peaceful area. The morning breakfast was an excellent place to start the day, although the food was generally good in the restaurants but not sensational. You can easily change currency at the desk as well. The service is top-notch. Special mention for this young lady, Anichat: fast response, accurate advice and very professional service. These skills are super helpful for someone like me during a business trip. I recommend this place if you come to Grande Comore. It's a great place with super nice people. Keep up the excellent work.

For the best hotel in the country it is an embarrassment of the country.
Their private beach is rocky and dirty. The staff doesn’t seem to care about cleaning all the plastic.
Overall, the service is slow and indifferent to the guests.
The beach has only 4 umbrellas with holes, I got sunburned sitting under one of them.
The pool has no water in it.
The lobby and the restaurant look nice, but the rooms are outdated and not clean. Some rooms just have glass between the room and the bathroom. I’d like to meet a dumbА$$ who designed those rooms 🤦‍♀️
For $200/night it is not worth it.

This place is amazing. Everybody is welcoming and friendly.

The breakfast is good, It is a great buffet with lots of variety of hot and cold food.

I really love this place and would definitely stay here again!

Our US business team has had quite a few wonderful trips to Comoros and this resort. We hosted an evening event which we received high praise from attendees. The staff and head chef were very attentive to our needs and went above and beyond to insure our stay was comfortable. We will be making future trips and look forward to the views, the meals and the beautiful white sand beach!

It treats the customer badly and gives it no consideration. The rooms have no water and it cooks poorly.

Very clean Hotel rooms but still need more rooms and good staff who can communicate in English.
