Attention very good, always available and a very familiar atmosphere! Everything was very clean. Would return for sure! Greetings.

Good social hostel but could do with some tlc. The staff are so friendly and is what made the experience good. The drinks machine inside the hostel sells cheap beers.

Not the cleanest hostal but probably one of the few ones in the island. This is the best host though if one is traveling alone and wants to socialize with other people. People are nice.

The first and best hostels in San Andres! Leaded by the young owners, with passion and love! Young backpackers around the world. We had a nice stay! We booked motorbikes and excursions directly in the hostel!
We would visit it again!

Blue Almond Hostel is amazing. Juan and Anthony are so great, helping you out with everything you could need. They have a kitchen with good supplies, good communal areas and beds are comfortable with fans to keep you cool. The hostel is small and you definitely feel like a family, getting to know everyone as Juan introduces every new person so you are always included! Stay here and have a great time on the island!

Great little hostel with friendly vibe, very helpful staff. About 20 minutes walk to main shopping area along nicely paved waterfront.

It is cute, comfortable and above all its people are friendly, obvious follows the philosophy of Hostel so do not expect luxuries such as air conditioning or separate bathroom.

If you travel alone is the place you have to go, a unique human quality, both John, Jeniffer and Anthony, how the rest of the guests, fully recommended and safe Q will return.

Thanks Juan for being such a great host. He helped connect various groups and individual guests together to do activities. On our night out, we had so many free shots and everyone was so happy. Loved my stay!

Straight into my top 5 hostels of all time! Take note guys, this is how you run a small social hostel. Had such an awesome time with the owners, the dog, the new kitten and the other guests. Night out together was sweet. They organize everything you want and call dive shops and doctors (what we really needed). Ps4 with nice games! But yeah Juan you are a hostal legend in my eyes.

Excellent value for money. Stayed here for 2 nights in a double bed Room with bathroom. Alejandro is really helpfull and the hostel environment is great. No breakfast included, but then anos again, you will pay cheap!

Awesome place to stay in San Andrés. The staff is really helpful and friendly. The place has lockers with plugs in them. The 5 bed dorm is very spacious and comfortable and the 10 bed dorm is like an apartment itself. Six of the 10 beds are in separarte rooms so it doesn't feel crowded at all.

I'm not one to typically leave reviews, but this was the worst hostel experience of our 7+ month trip. Our flight arrived at 6am and we arrived to Blue Almond around 7 with our booking being for the that night and the next 4 days. On the way to the hostel, our taxi driver warned us repeatedly about this being a sketchy neighborhood, and when we arrived he refused to leave us there until someone answered the door. It took 15 minutes of knocking and our taxi driver honking to finally get someone to answer the front door, and during this time we found another solo female guest hiding in the bushes out of fear for her safety (seriously! — as no one had answered her knocks! ). When the disgruntled owner finally answered the door, he initially refused to even let us into the hostel as "check-in wasn't until 11". After a couple minutes of heated discussion, he finally allowed us into the foyer. There, he said that if we didn't want to pay for an additional night that we couldn't be on the property until 11. This included him refusing to even let us leave our bags in storage on the property. When we asked him where we could go, he said we'd have to take our backpacks and go to the beach (keep in mind that it is still pitch dark and that we had just been warned of it being a sketchy neighborhood).

Fantastic staff, good fares, can book and help you with anything on the island!

A well run, casual hostel in a good location and with awesome staff. We stayed in a private room and the kitchen was well equipt. The beds are quite hard and the rooms are hot but thats san andres for you! The staff were so helpful and fun with some may recommendations! Highly recommended to all :)

This is a great hostel, the staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms and bathrooms need a little maintenance but everything is serviceable and clean.

Chill place with really nice people. Good kitchen and a TV with Netflix! A bit hot since it's fan only, at least in the dorms. Lockers and lots of space to put things (first time that happens).

Undoubtedly the best hostel I've stayed at in my five months of travel around the continent. This place feels like home, really, it does! I would recommend this place to anyone, you will not regret it. We're talking; awesome atmosphere, fantastic people (now my family) and a great little kingdom on the beautiful island of San Andres. The hostel is in a quiet neighborhood really close to the center, I personally think it's the best location for a hostel on the island of San A…ndres. Safe neighborhood, quiet at night but close enough to city center life. It's easy to get anywhere; you can walk to the center and you can take the bus to go elsewhere on the island. The facilities in the hostel are great. There's a vending machine with lots of yummy treats and drinks (plantain chips for breakfast 365 days a year if I could), the beds are nice and the rooms are fitted with fans. There is a nice living room, and two outside areas where you can chill. Juan and Jennifer are very knowledgeable and will assist you if you have any questions about where to go, how to get there and how to have the time of your life. They are part of the experience of San Andres. I stayed on the island for 9 days (a lifetime for some) and enjoyed every second of it. I was adopted by Juan and Jennifer and my now dogbrother Shaggy Bombastic. Thank you for the love, the fun, the laughs. (P. S. ) If you play Jenga with Juan watch out for his tapping technique. It's too ninja.

I stayed here on the week after Christmas. It was my third time in San Andres and I already knew what I wanted to do and where I wanted to go, so I just needed a place to lay my head, shower, and catch my breath. If your traveler profile is like mine Blue Almond is the perfect place to stay. If not then cough up some real money and stay at a full service hotel or all inclusive resort. There aren't many amenities but again, I was out all day and most of the night so this was not an issue. The Wi-Fi is spotty but this reflects the internet situation for most of the island. I've stayed at full service hotels (I. E. Portobelo on the beach) that didn't have great Wi-Fi either. San Andres rewards the adventurous who self start, but if you need your hand held, again, pay some real money and stay at a hotel.

This is the best hostel I've stayed at in years! Alejandro and Juan were amazing, from organizing trips for us, recommending restaurants and activities, and even driving us into town so we wouldn't have to taxi in. The atmosphere was social yet we had our own space. We met fantastic travelers while we were there and I'm already planning a trip back!
