Aldea Sabatinga

Aldea Sabatinga is an amazing place. You completely disconnect from the city. Plus, the nature is incredible—there are little animals, pets, and the community is extraordinary. It exceeded my expectations. The service is great, and you really feel at home. More than just a place to stay, I think it’s a place to relax, where you can work peacefully virtually. And, it’s just 35 minutes from the city of Manizales. Everything is incredible—you have a kitchen, the bathroom is amazingly beautiful—you shower with a view of the mountains, and everything has a really lovely energy. I wish Juan and his whole team continued to welcome people like me, who can work virtually, because they really help you relax.

Where can I start with Aldea Sabatinga. It is truly a magical Coliving space tucked away in the Andes mountains 🏔️. The room is super clean and the outdoor shower is wow! It has cute local restaurants nearby, the food is so delicious. Drum roll for the nature! Bc its spectacular, I have been here for a month and just extended another month… (will prob extend again 🥹🫶🏽) I couldn’t happier! Also the Wi-Fi is amazing. Never had any issues! The kitchen is beautiful 😍 Last, but not least, Juan — The guardian of this space. He is the best host. Always happy to help with anything. Took us a crazy beautiful hike that on a Saturday and really created a little piece of heaven on Earth. This Coliving space is 1000/10! If you’re reading this and you’re on the fence, just book it and thank me later. ✨

I had an amazing time staying with Juan at Aldea Sabatinga. An incredible coliving tucked away in the mountains but still with quick access to town and all of the beauty of the region. In my one month stay I felt so relaxed and was able to disconnect and relax when I wanted to. I also had the opportunity to build more social connections over the month that I was there. I also visited the volcano at nevado Ruiz, the hot springs, the cocora valley, and the town of salento. All of which was accessible in a day’s trip or less. There’s also a nice short hike that goes down to a river near the house, and a long road that winds through the mountains that’s good for walking, biking, and running. The views here are absolutely incredible. You can see snow capped mountains and coffee tree filled valleys. Aldea Sabatinga is a must if you love nature, slow living, and genuine connections. I will 100% be back soon!

I initially planned to stay at Aldea Sabatinga for 2 weeks, but I ended up extending to 5 weeks because it was so hard to leave.
​It was truly an extraordinary experience. I met some beautiful people here with such inspiring philosophies. A huge thanks to Juan for his generosity and for making me feel so welcome in this amazing comunidad of San Peregrino.
​I’m already missing the incredible mountain views, the animals, and just the overall peace, listening to the birds and the sounds of nature every morning was a highlight. This coliving was perfect for my needs: I managed to get a lot of work done in a focused environment, but also shared some great moments with the other guests, like sharing typical dishes from all over the world.

This place is the perfect spot for anyone who wants to connect with nature and experience real local life. It offers peaceful jungle views, dedicated workspaces, a fully equipped kitchen, and plenty of relaxing areas.
Juan’s place is not just a hostel or coliving space; it’s a community, it’s a family. Juan truly cares about everyone at Aldea, sharing his stories and adventures with guests. I felt a real bond with everyone there.
I never had any internet issues. The connection is very reliable, and my managers were surprised that I had no interruptions during meetings, even in the middle of the jungle.
Most importantly, the place feels very safe, and the bus stops right at the main entrance. A beautiful place filled with beautiful people, inside and out. I definitely recommend this experience and will for sure be coming back.

I stayed at this coliving for one month and had a fantastic experience. The location is incredible — set on a mountain just outside Manizales with beautiful jungle views all around. It’s peaceful, relaxing, and the perfect place to disconnect while still having easy access to the city.
Juan, the host, truly treats you like family. He checks in often to make sure everything is okay and genuinely cares about your experience. He provides great recommendations and has contacts for drivers, tours, and local events, which makes exploring the area super easy. His hospitality and warmth are amazing, and it’s easy to become friends quickly.
The practical side is great too. There’s a bus that stops right outside to take you into town and back, plus a bakery, small shops for essentials, and a nice family restaurant all within walking distance.
For remote workers, the Starlink internet is very reliable and fast. Juan also goes above and beyond — sometimes organizing epic hikes or treating guests to time in the jacuzzi with incredible views.
I would most definitely return in the future and highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the Manizales area.

A beautiful space to stay, explore and work! Thank you *so* much for such an amazing experience! I stayed for just a week (wish it was longer! ) and during that time Juan took us on a hike one day, we watched a documentary one evening on the projector and we had a fire pit night too! The nature is extraordinary:)

Aldea Sabatinga is a special place. I originally booked for 1 week and extended for almost 3 weeks. I would have stayed longer had I not had future travel commitments. This is the perfect place if you are seeking solitude in a communal environment. You get plenty of privacy and still have the opportunity to be with others, including other co-livers and Juan’s family.

I had a wonderful and restorative month. I enjoyed it so much I returned after. Juan and his family are truly lovely and I greatly enjoyed getting to meet and know the other guests at Sabatinga. The rooms are spacious with fantastic outdoor bathrooms, great Starlink internet, and a well-equipped kitchen. There are bunnies, a dog, cats, and roosters. An extraordinary way to be more connected to nature and others.

Dreamy lil sweet escape! spent a long weekend and did not want to leave. The rooms are incredibly spacious, comfortable, and set up perfectly for digital nomads working remotely. Details like a good desk and comfortable chair matter a lot and this place exceeded those expectations. Super close to hikes and nature as well.

Great stay at this co-living space near Manizales! The host was very welcoming, and the rooms were clean and minimal. The location is convenient, with easy access to bus transportation. The social atmosphere was fantastic—we connected with other guests through fun activities, and Juan even offered us a free hike, which was a great experience. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a comfortable and friendly stay in the area.

Living here has been an extraordinary experience, making me feel like I was an integral part of nature. Walking around barefoot and waking up to one of the most beautiful views from my room became my daily routine. Enjoying breakfast outside my room while soaking in the tranquil mountain scenery became my morning ritual, giving me a sense of peace and connection to the earth. The wildlife, from the variety of colorful birds, hummingbirds, and squirrels to even a rabbit, added to the magical feel of this place.
The host, Juan, went above and beyond by picking me up from the bus stop at night, ensuring I felt welcomed from the very beginning. His hospitality made it easy to feel at home here. Additionally, befriending his incredibly cute dog was a delightful bonus that made my stay here even more memorable. The effort put into ensuring guests feel comfortable and integrated into this serene environment is truly commendable.

Aldea Sabatinga is a very special place to visit when you are near Manizales or nearby! I had the opportunity to live in this space for over a month and I am so happy I did it.
Sabatinga is wonderful. You are surrounded and in nature since you walk in the door. The rooms are beautiful, full of light and very spacious. The outdoor shower was definitely my golden ticket.
The common areas are excellent for personal work, outdoor and recreational activities and for meeting and engaging with other members of the community.
Being part of a community living space was a treat for me and I recommend to anyone who is interested in having new living experiences. Everyone in Sabatinga is super nice and welcoming. We were able to plan several group activities that contributed to my experience and my personal growth.

I stayed just over a week at this beautiful coliving space, and only wish I could have stayed longer. After a month of hopping around in Colombia, I was in need of peace and quiet and to not move. Aldea Sabatinga was the perfect place for it. The nature, the good energy, the quiet, a hammock in the room… it can't be beat. Juan and his family are such open and generous hosts, and the other guests were friendly and kind. If you're looking for a place to reset and just be, with a like-minded community of travelers, you've found it. Don't hesitate to book!

I stayed for a month at this coliving space and my experience was amazing! Juan and Cata, along with the other residents, made me feel at home from the first day. It's a truly magical place with positive and peaceful energy. Everything is very clean, and you can tell it was created with lots of love.
The location is perfect, and it's easy to get around without a car (the bus stops right outside the door). Plus, the weather is ideal. It's never too cold, offering a beautiful mix of spring and summer, with warm, sunny days and cooler, calm nights.
This place is perfect for relaxing and exploring the gorgeous coffee region. We shared unforgettable moments together, like yoga classes, meditation sessions, hikes, and dinners that really imbued the place with a beautiful communal energy.
I would definitely recommend this spot to anyone visiting Colombia.

Oh my god, such a beautiful place. Juan and his family did an absolutely fantastic job here to make you feel welcome. It is close enough to Manizales to take advantage of all it has to offer but far enough to enjoy the beautiful landscape and the tranquility and silence (! Which rarely ever happens in Colombia haha) The rooms are spacious, the outside bathrooms are phenomenal and there a lot of shared facilities to use. Really cool place, would love to have stayed longer.
