Service at this hotel is awesome! Jaime, Patrice and their staff are the best. They go overboard to make your stay memorable.

Very good attention from most of the employees, suddenly on the unlimited cocktail bar, are used to receiving tips to improve the face some, worth the clarification. Delicious food and great variety…

The "Sirvetragos" seem to hate their work. Or maybe they're not given 10.000 per drink served. So that's why they serve as if you were asking for charity. That's all I think is wrong. Of rest. Spectacular everything.

It was okay. Needs a lot of update. The food was ok nothing outstanding. Rooms are big but the mattress were hard as a rock.

It Is a hotel with excellent service, we were treated very well although not the best presentation of the Decameron Guide as it needs to be modernized, offer great variety of entertainment for the guest which allows us to have a good rest, is at the front of the sea what It allows us to have a spectacular view of the sunset.

The food is very good it is a small place Compared to other hotels of the same chain should improve the renovation of the rooms as there are rooms very ugly and unattractive, and courses of customer service of certain employees in the reception to the quality that always gives recognition to a Decameron.

With three restaurants: meats, sea food and Italian, moist area, offers a good accommodation in the heart of the Bocagrande district, strategically located opposite the beach, near the historic center and the full hospitality sector.

The staff is very friendly and helpful and the service is excellent.

Its a really good hotel, great customer service, delicious food. But there are similar hotels here in bocagrande a little more cheaper with great service too.

The place is good, but still in my mind Decameron Barú or Punta Sal, make me feel that something is missing here.

The restaurants and Lobby are not very spacious. The noise from the central air-conditioning motors all night, is not pleasant. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Good quality of food and drinks services.

The hotel is comfortable. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The food was very good.
At night there is a gentleman who plays an organ and sings very well. And shows.
the beach is in front of the hotel and is public. It only has a few chairs and little chairs for the one who arrives early… there's a quincho that only offers a few soft drinks all non-alcoholic.
I'll give the hotel an 8.

Wonderful hotel. Delicious food. Animation team and exceptional dancers. Very comfortable rooms and the best of all very friendly staff.

Beautiful hotel. Very good service. Several restaurants to taste different types of cuisine.

Great beds, nice room (no fridge). This is the smallest of the all-inclusive hotels in the chain and it shows. Food is not great, limited choice of low quality drinks, and very small pool usually full of kids. The beach is on the doorstep, but the beach bar is very poor (no alcohol, you have to carry drinks from across the road). The 'free' beach is on a rocky beachhead, the nice sandy bits either side still have rental chairs and people selling, which I don't mind. In the hotel the main bar is not too comfortable to sit in (and often has young families) and the disco is too small to be so loud. 4 elevators, but you can still wait for ages. As a base, the location is great and the rooms are fine. As an all-inclusive, the food is poor but I haven't tried the evening restaurants (although they weren't great at Baru, which is a vastly bigger and nicer Decameron). I haven't stayed for the evening entertainment, but they seem to put some effort in during the day so it should be fine.

Customer service is good. Nobody is able to speak English. Location is good if you're not interested in beach.

The hotel is in a great location and is currently undergoing some renovations. The rooms are renovated and clean, the facilities are good, the food is good and provides a nice variety for dinner. Unfortunately our experience was sort of ruined by the unpleasant front desk staff. Their attitude is to do the bare minimum and move onto their next task. We were continually let down by their attitudes and lack of abilility to assist us with our needs. Similarily the Decameron Explorer staff had the same attitude. Thankfully we did run into the Customer Service Manager, Jaime Martinez, and he helped turn our experience around by his generous gestures and accomodating personality. I however feel that you shouldn't need to speak with the GM to be treated as a guest not a pest.

The Decameron Cartagena is nice, we had a gorgeous room with beautiful view, staff is friendly and helpful. The activities are ok, the main downside is the food and drinks, they are rather low quality. The drinks are served in tiny cups and you can’t just sit back and relax you have to keep going to get some, the food is very similar every day and nothing particularly nice.

Excellent everything. The human service is warm and excellent. The facilities are excellent and the food is more than delicious!

The worst vacation experience. False promises when it comes to selling the package, now here in the hotel turns out that nothing promised was included and we must pay everything on the outside, in the schedules they want and not when it is favorable to one.
It's raining and the whole hotel is flooded, to the restaurants and hallways of the rooms, which already smell old. The food is simple and repetitive every day in all the restaurants. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Good accomodation, the staff is very dedicated, with permanent predisposition. Very complicated the beach, with constant invasion of street vendors, there are times when you can not maintain a dialogue with people who are acompañandoloing oneself. As another nuisance detail, the water bikes and motorboats are the strawberries of the dessert, between noise and smoke make it difficult to enjoy the beach. Unfortunately those details tarnish the very good thing that Cartagena has to show in his wide repertoire… is my second visit, I hope to go back and find a change in the negative concepts.

Place needs mantainance, the bar is OK, the hotel is literally in front of the beach. The staff is very kind and helpful.

This place shouldn't even get a star but only did because of the staff and how nice they were to me and my family but that's it! The manager sits and doesn't care about his job and acts like he is working when the new batch of people come into the hotel. They don't keep the hotel maintained, leading to mold and water pockets on the roof and the walls and around the air-conditioners. The place looks like it was painted in different spots to mask the imperfections. The food was either really good or really bad, very very salty and I thought that was inappropriate given that there were many seniors that have health problems. And they had tricked us into thinking that they were moving us to a better hotel to end up telling us we were staying there due to the hotel closing to the staff protesting. The elevators were so HOT because they never turned on the air-conditioners til the last day we were there and it was 90+ degrees Fahrenheit every day and the air-conditioners didn't even work well! This place was a totally disappointment I don't recommend it at ALL!

Great staff, great food, beautiful views of the beach and city.

This was my first visit to Cartagena, I had a great time at the hotel, the staff were very courteous and Jaime the Service Manager was exceptionally kind to us. He went out of his way to ensure that our stay was comfortable… The only drawback I found was, when the food got to us, it was not very hot. IF you are a light sleeper the noise from the A/C and the music can be very loud… Remember the hotel is not on the beach and therefore the traffic goes by very quickly, the hotel provides a crossing guard who stops the traffic in order to ensure your safe crossing to and from the beach, obey him at all times. I must say be careful with the vendors on the beach, being a public beach the vendors have unfettered access to apply their trade, most of them offer massages on the beach and hey have no idea or training in the subject matter (so, please be careful if you ask for a massage, if you get hurt, you are on your own) they pester you continuously even if you reject their sales pitch, they will return over and over through you have rebuff them… some of them get pissed-off and angry and will kick sand in your direction and mutter unpleasant words — they cannot take no for answer… Visit the old City at night, it comes alive and it is very safe, if you are a photographer like me get on the wall and take a stunning sunset (5.30PM).

This is a 3 star hotel. There are many things to fix and improve. Differences in the entry with an air conditioner freezing and hot lobbies, very unpleasant.
The problem with Internet and Wi-Fi is very friendly, could be only in the input one, nobody explains to you how it works, and whenever one wanted to connect had to ask for a piece of paper where got the username and the password with very small letters and numbers.
Disposable plastic breakfast cups are a hotel 5 stars, in the bar of drinks is shameful. The piece that we had very good, large, clean, good air conditioning, never stole from us nothing. The attention of employees nothing to say, excellent.

This hotel is — 5 stars, is the worst from the rooms to the food, everything is a disaster, when you arrive the first day employees got good inaccuracies of the entrance but when they gave me the room was a horrible place seemed a seedy and oliento motel to pure saved cigarette, les pedi that I move to another room which lucia better, but I slept all night with heat that had no air conditioning, the second day les pedi that give me a desente place and with air, guess I went to the super suit and guess who?

Excellent value for money. The poolside buffet could be more varied. The service and the proximity to the vieucartageba are the best!

After coming of Baru Decameron, hotel da pena. Bad food, pool, terrible. There is a nice place to stay in the! Air conditioning you freezes in places to share that are small and very cosy. Much to improve!

It is the worst 5 star that I hosted, are death, food is the worst, bar and restaurants for dining services are conditioned that nobody consumes!

This Hotel includes meals and drinks in their price. There price is more for a 5 star hotel when they probably do not qualify for 3 stars. I think they are way overpriced. After a 4 night stay in this Hotel, we moved to a much nice hotel four block away at about one third the price. This other Hotel located on the main street of Bocagrande (Cartagena) only included breakfast, but it was very good. There are so many great and inexpensive restaurants in the area that it did not make sense to eat all meals at the same hotel every day. By not staying at the Decameron we discovered many good and varied restaurants in the area. If you travel with kids, they will be happy to find a McDonald, a Burger King and Subway within four blocks.

The stay was excellent, food sleeping and good care.
You must change the colors of the building, give more life and joy pastel colors, longer than white or in hospitals already used.
When incoming tourists must be given a mandatory (30 minutes) talk about the pollution and what we can do to mitigate in something that happens, about trash vote or found on our beaches and in general in the city.
The hotel part only complies with pay taxes and make the State for the environment, but this unfortunately does not because we always choose those that are not; but if they can start with lectures, awareness is the first step to initiate a shift; It must also be included to street vendors because they are part of the cycle and they are inevitable.

Good since my arrival to the hotel they put all their attention on us, the staff was excellent room 1801's first good view to the sea, the food and drinks excellent the only thing not I found is in the bar you gave the drinks in disposable cups and I do not think that a 5-star hotel provides that service. Very good Hotel, is open to the possibilities no wishes, Restaurants, Baars, Disco and well maintained pool area elevated above the road. Depending on the room, a sensational view. The food is average, but i. O. Disadvantages the nearby beach was not the quality of the water to my Gusto. Necessarily the Islands to visit, Paradis, beautiful, and invite for a swim.
