Give guests the room they reserved. Don't sub a regular room when a suite was reserved for $470/night and not refund the difference. Power went out 2x for over 8 hours each time and they were ill prepared to deal with it. No Management present either time. One time power company's fault, other time their fault. Don't be fooled, read all the reviews, not just the good ones and stay elsewhere. Way better places that are more reasonable and better managed.

I loved the location, the wonderful care, the restaurant has a lot of tourist q comes to eating by how rich that is! The only BUT is q I would have liked a mini living room inside the room to talk because outside it is impossible to be for the heat! The lovely decoration!

What a find! An amazing mix of water features and plants and art with a shady courtyard dining area and rooftop pools and lounges. We loved our stay here. The staff were attentive, polite and consistently helpful.

Great people, great food, and an amazing experience. That was my first international trip (without counting cruises) and I had the time of my life. I loved the architecture and the building aesthetic. The suite we had looked out into the street and it was breathtaking. I would recommend this place to anyone, any time!

Located in the old town, in the lovely building, next to the Havana famous dance club and beer&laundry place, our room was quite small and dark however had the impression that the rest of the rooms (better standard, top class) might be bigger and lighter, the staff is nice and helpful but also acts in some cases a little bit unnaturally concerning the advices, arepas for breakfast are really good, coffee is one of the worst which we had in Columbia, there is a small river in the building, in our room we had some minor problems with hot water under shower and the some defect in the lamp, I liked very much walking via the building (amazing interior design), massage is highly recommended.

Excellent staff and excellent customer service. Breakfast, which was included, was excellent every morning! The eggs were prepared perfectly. I like fried, well-done eggs. Many restaurants over cook the eggs and/or they come out crispy or chewy. Casa Lola chefs prepared perfectly. Also, very fresh fruit as a starter. Nice basket of pastries and toast. Excellent coffee!

I absolutely had a fabulous stay at Casa Lola! When I go back to Columbia I would definitely stay there again. Wonderful staff and great food. The ambiance was also amazing. Thank you to the owner and staff of Casa Lola, great job keep it up.

Wonderful hotel in an old house in the neighborhood Gethsemane, excellent rooms, impeccable service and treatment, very friendly, very good breakfast. Steps to a walled city in a neighborhood with a lot of life.

Casa Lola is wondeful! The staff were friendly and helpful when needed. Breakfast was provided with our stay and a free shuttle from the airport was also given. The concierges provided great recommendations for local restaurants and sites not to miss. Also, the hotel is beautiful!

Decor was excellent, but for a 4 star hotel, I would expect a bit more. Location and rooftop pool were the highlights. We enjoyed the included breakfast, but had to pay for water bottles (far more than was reasonable). They also seemed unable to provide three towels when we had three guests in our room. Everyday we received 2. Additionally, we had a power loss during our stay and the hotel staff provided zero communication on when we could expect it to return — very frustrating experience. I understand the power loss was not the fault of the hotel, but when we inquired it served as the reminder for the employee to call the power company… very strange.

Very good customer service, it is such which is shown on the web sites of hotels, all the staff are always attentive to the needs of its guests. Fully recommended. As negative point, no window of the room opens, all are fixed, so that it does not run air, but solved with a very good air conditioning.

An example of how to do things very well. The hotel is beautiful, full of very tasteful details in perfect conjunction with the rooms. Carefully cared for care. Perfect location. A must in every rule.

Exceptional Boutique Hotel. It's beautiful, careful to the last detail. They treat you wonderfully at all times. Very good breakfast, friendly staff. Very cozy and recommended.

A haven of peace and taste. It almost feels like a Moroccan medina. The reception is impeccable and the staff professional and smiling. Come and get away and rejuvenate in this corner of paradise.

Admittedly the owner put a lot of work and money into the renovations. However what makes a boutique hotel or any experience really, is the human element. That lacked desperately in this place. The staff were obviously not well mentored or trained to run a hotel. Things as basic as the room safe not working or being — promptly — repaired (I waited 2.5 hours of a short stay) ; and not being served coffee at all at breakfast on the second day of my stay, make this a very unremarkable Property, not a “boutique hotel”. Hope they look for the fine service details and training. It will improve it enormously.

Rojales Hotel, site Recomendadisimo in all sense of the word, quiet its decor is amazing and the food delicious…

Lovely hotel in Getsemani which is just outside the old city and where you’ll find most hotels and hostels. It’s a hidden gem behind the big wood doors and the rooftop pool are is gorgeous. Wi-fi is poor and if you’re ok the ground floor it can be a bit noisy as people pass by. I enjoyed my stay and would recommend it. Nice staff at breakfast too.

Comfortable hotel in the old city area. Nothing special or elegant about this property but is an interesting place to stay with its contrasts to US hotel experiences. Good breakfasts.

Such a nice retreat from the heat and bustle! Lots of character, beautiful lush greenery and water features throughout. Love the way they have preserved and showcased the original walls. Also, nice little rooftop pools with telephone to kitchen for ordering bebidas y snacks.

I recommend this place for anyone who loves warm temperatures, but if you want to come back to a cool room after a day of fun in the sun, there may be better options. Almost everything was great. The room was very spacious and had a nice homey feel. The views from the rooftop pool area were good, and the included breakfast was very tasty. The location is also quite nice, just a couple minutes walk from the water and many great restaurants and little shops. All of the staff were very friendly and pleasant as well. The only complaint I have is that as an Alaskan traveling with a Canadian, Cartagena was very hot, and the poor little AC in our room, despite trying it's hardest 24/7 just had no hope of competing with the sun over temperature controls in such a large room. It did cool the loft area where the bed was well enough when directly in front of it, but the AC really struggled to drop the ambient temperature of the room.
