Hotel casa San Agustin in Cartagena is such a lovely, warm place. The service is excellent. The grounds are beautiful and the rooms are so comfortable and welcoming. We have been enjoying discovering the city, but coming back to luxurious accommodations. I would highly recommend staying here on your next visit to Cartagena!

This is by far one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in. Customer service is the best. Hotel is beautiful, and located right in the walled city. All I can say is, you won’t know how great this hotel is until you stay here. Shout out to Paola and the other staff here. Definitely coming back here.

The hotel is a classic and away from the noise. The pool is amazing given the architecture. The service is top and quality of the rooms is very high.

The hotel charged me $240 US dollars for a load of laundry that contained a couple of shirts, 2 pairs of jeans and a couple of pairs of underwear. I called multiple times and they refused to let me speak to a manager. I could have bought 3 new wardrobes or a washer in the US. They only care about ripping off people from the US. DO NOT go here!

Exquisite hotel in the heart of the walled city! The staff was amazing and the incredible amenities made for a first class hotel experience. We enjoyed wonderful meals provided by room service and at the beautiful on site restaurant. We were within walking distance of all the old city had to offer and more making for an unforgettable trip through Columbia’s historical and cultural center. An experience that I look forward to enjoying again in the future.

Favorite hotel ever. Staff was insanely attentive and thoughtful including making my boyfriend his favorite childhood arepas that his abuela used to make for him (not on the menu) when he asked and then every day afterwards. Great location, beautiful pool, excellent spa, one of the best restaurants & cocktail bars in Cartagena, and some of the best service I’ve ever experienced.

I had a great time staying here on my trip to Cartagena in August! Great AC in the room, friendly staff and concierge that speak good English, very clean and comfortable. Our room had a balcony overlooking a busy square, but was totally sound-proofed with the door closed. The pool was so beautiful in the main area, and they have a veranda on the rooftop which is great for dusk. One of the most famous Cartagena restaurants, Alma, is downstairs with live music most nights. Location is very central in old town. Had a lovely stay!

Charming boutique hotel. Beautiful rooms and very good food at Alma, the attached restaurant. But what sets Casa Agustin apart is the attentive and friendly staff. Every person we interacted with was extremely friendly, helpful and concerned with making our stay exceptional. The Spa Aurum is well worth a visit — excellent staff and superb treatments. I highly recommend staying at Casa Agustin on your visit to Cartagena de Indias.

Absolutely stunning place! We went as a big group of 11 people. The staff was amazing in helping to organize our reservations for our dinners, boat ride to Rosario island. Our rooms, the food, the pool were great. I give them 5 stars on everything. I HIGHLY recommend staying at this lovely hotel.

This hotel was amazing, the interior, the room, the overall service was perfect. It felt like home and the people were so kind. They even arranged all transfers, city tours, horse-drawn carriage rides, dinner reservstions and recommendations around the city for us. I can’t wait to go back! We even had a birthday celebration and the dinner preparations went very well…

A lovely hotel beautifully managed in the center of the walled city. Our room was very comfortable, the decor was attractive. The staff was attentive and most helpful, sorting out any local issues, making recommendations and reservations of where to eat, places to see, and things to do. Meals at their inhouse Alma restaurant were good. All in all we had a delightful time at the hotel and would be happy to return.

The most beautiful hotel I've ever stayed in. It's more like staying at a rich friend's house than an impersonal hotel. The pool is quiet and secluded. I would like to stay there again.

A truly hidden gem in an enchanted colonial town. They have taken expert care to restore and renew every last corner of this ancient property to bring it up to the most luxurious standards for the sophisticated traveler. Extremely helpful staff.

Is a really charming place.

Absolutely amazing. This place is gorgeous. The staff is wonderful. Everything and more that we could ask for. We chose this destination as a birthday trip and it definitely exceeded our expectations for peaceful relaxation. The complimentary bikes are definitely worth the offer as well as the food. The swimming pool and hotel views in general are simply amazing. We had a marvelous time!

My husband and I came here for our weeklong honeymoon from Alaska. We were beyond delighted with the gorgeous hotel, the attentive staff, our amazing room (! ) — room 203 with its' private plunge pool — and all of the fine decorative details. Our room was freshened daily, as is the case with most hotels, but the crisp Frette linens, fluffy towels, and pleasingly fresh scent left behind that awaited us after a hot day around the city was most welcomed. The private plunge pool with its' generous patio was just what we needed after our daily excursions! We would highly recommend Casa San Agustin to travelers! Magnifico!

Let me start off by saying that this is a truly wonderful hotel, well located and with an extremely friendly staff. Given that, I will share some details of the good, the bad and the ugly about our stay: THE GOOD — Great breakfast — Amazing area by the pool, where you could spend the whole day just sunbathing — Great location and service — Incredible bedroom facilities — Amazing Wi-Fi Speed (this is a major issue to me, and it was simply incredible) THE UGLY — They have a live band in the restaurant that starts at about 8pm and goes up to 11h30pm. Very loud, the sound is truly disturbing and it is impossible to ignore it, even in the room. A major thumb down, specially if you are in the resting mood. THE BAD — The dinner service in the restaurant was not good (slow, confusing). You would expect way more given its price. — Pool only has 6 places to sunbathe, so you better be quick. — They recommended a lousy day tour to the Rosario Islands to us, and did not provide a transportation on the way back. Summary: we came up totally soaked from the boat back, and could not get a cab. Had to walk for 35 minutes from the city. — One day there was a water problem, lacking water in the bedrooms for the whole day. When these problems happened, and we let them know, they were EXTREMELY attentive and helpful, sending a bottle of champagne to say that they were sorry and moving us to the presidential suite due to the water problem in our old room.

I've been to many hotels in Cartagena, both inside the walled city and in the Bocagrande area. This is my favorite. Gorgeous hotel, outstanding and detailed service. Outstanding in the entire sense of the word. May even be my favorite hotel in the world.
