Review of Hotel San Fernando Plaza 4*

Here is my experience at this claiming to be a 5 star hotel. The check in was reservedly friendly. Room is big and has a great view. Sidelamps besides bed is not working, the sink is chipped, something was tuck taped on a side of the bathtub, toilet is not flushing. Little things but they add up. I had a friend coming over to visit me at the hotel, they refused the entrance since he had no ID. Then my friend calls me and says they let him in, come meet me at the restaraunt. I thought since they let him into the hotel premises it is ok if we go up to my room. The moment we enter the phone is ringing and the guy from the front desk yelling at me “police is on the way “ and hangs up. No conversation even or listening what I have to say. Obviously they were following us on cameras like some sort of criminals! From their response on Tripadvisor I understand it’s a Colombian law to ID hotel guests. And of course I would comply with any hotels security requests. Issue I have is the way it was delivered — it was presented by yelling at me over the phone, with no explanations or listening what I have to say. It was disgusting, rude and uncalled for. Instead of politely explaining to me the situation and asking me to walk my guest back down I was basically just left there sitting in my room waiting for the police. Hotel has never apologized to me and even that shows their level and understanding of what excellent customer service is! It went from kinda friendly at the front desk to the yelling and threatening your guest! Disgusting actions!
