A very big old town with many people around. Contains a lot of different spots that you can visit. However it doesn't really match with “old town ”. Too many shops and restaurants that sell modern goods. And many of them selling similar things. Besides, the road/ path is very narrow compared to other old towns and the volume of visitors. You need to go through many shops and people before you can reach the other spot of interest. A charge of ¥80 per person per day for visitors for maintenance. But no strong enforcement for this fee. No charges for local make it harder to collect the money. Well, for visitors, it's worth to have a look. But you don't need to spend so much time in it unless you have the habit to visit every spot to add into your collection.
Amazing place with an authentic feeling due to its sheer size. Very relaxing. The flower cakes are a must try in this area. It's also only a short distance to the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, which itself is easily accessible through a cable car.
