Great staff very helpfull to non-chinese speaking guest, clean large rooms, pool is very nice. Nice selection of restraunts to choose from.

Excellent hotel in Shanghai Pudong area. You can get spacious rooms with amenities here. There are also conference hall, Swimming pool Jacuzzis and other modern facilities that are available here. The hotel is also easily accessible via Metro. You can have a great views of the Shanghai skyscrapers from your rooms in the top floors. Overall you can enjoy your stay in this hotel.

Absolutely loved this hotel! They gave out free cookies at check out and staff was very polite and helpful. Most employees spoke English and the hotel was beautiful and well kept. Rewards members are able to get a delicious free breakfast buffet and happy hour. I wish I could have stayed longer!

Hmm… room upgrade was nice and Pudong location is convenient. Negative is Executive Lounge is located on main floor so is not tucked away in a quiet spot, is set up like a cafeteria rather than a lounge, regularly runs out of food & drinks with no apparent urgency to replace, and most surprising / bummer of all… it closes at 8PM. After a long day at work, 8PM is close to when you arrive back at the hotel ready to relax. Seems this hotel’s target market is not Business people, but rather is families on vacation with their kids. If you are the latter, then by all means stay here & you should like it. However if you are the former, then I recommend selecting a different hotel focused on Business Travelers’ needs.

After arrival I had some issues with the check in, but the problem solved very fast. Our room was very nice high floor and clean. Bathroom very good. We booked executive floor, and I can recommend this one. The Staff is very helpful and super friendly in the Hotel. Since I am member in Hilton, I never saw a Lounge like this one. The Staff so attentive, service great, and Food excellent. Check out and Concierge, no more comment! Great Looks like, the Management of the Hotel did a good training with the staff, and this give a good impression to the guest. I come back to this place.

I had a great experience here from start to finish. Perfect location to stay for the SNIEC. Spacious, clean, modern rooms. All customer-facing staff that I dealt with has adequate English skills to make communication trouble-free. Very competitive rates online for my stay. Breakfast is great. Heaps of options and the perfect way to start the day. Although not ideal location for tourist activities, it’s only a short walk to the Metro station and you can get anywhere you need to go with minimal fuss. I’ll definitely stay here again when I’m in Shanghai again. Once you find a good hotel in a city like Shanghai, it’s easy to stay there every time because you know it’s good and one less thing you need to worry about.

Top notch hotel in Pudong. The service is incredible! I really appreciate the diversity of breakfast options and the pool is absolutely amazing.

Had a fantastic stay, beautiful hotel, good location close to a lot of attractions and the staff were extremely helpful. Our cruise checkin was delayed and they let us use the executive lounge after we had checked out.

Hotel with all the comforts that requires a stay abroad. Recommended.

So pretty, we stayed in a really nice suite and it was a great experience. The breakfast buffet and cocktail hour (for diamond members) against a beautiful chinese tea garden completes the stay.

What you expect here you find it.

Spent 6 nights there room 1053. Everything was awesome. Especially the breakfast.

Despite the aging decors and furnitures this is still a great hotel to stay at in Pudong.

Bed bugs. I was bitten all over by them and, while I was moved to another room (upon my suggestion may I add; the staff’s resolution was merely to send housekeeping up), I wasn’t filled with a great deal of confidence by the laidback (and, frankly, rude) manner in which two separate staff members received news of a bed bug infestation. Aside from this it was a great hotel with great facilities, but if this is the way they deal with issues such as this then I really couldn’t bring myself to recommend it to anybody.

Very nice hotel. Breakfast does have a lot of choices — first and second mornings seem about the same. Personally, I wouldn't spend that kind of money on breakfast, but, on that I was not decision maker. Lots of different fruits, homemade jams, fresh breads, yogurts, etc. Etc. Skip the muffins — not that tasty … At all. Very nice swimming pool and exercise room. Staff are helpful and friendly. I did walk took nice shopping center — less than half a mile away — Starbucks and other coffee places, grocery store. Not in city center, but nice location. Marble bathrooms are beautiful, but … Marble on bare feet? Really?

5 minutes walk to subway station, really good breakfast, the Pearl is 10 minutes away by taxi.

It's a five-star service. Nice facilities, nice restaurants, things. Two buildings West building more recommended to stay (and to stay in cookie snacks)

The lobby is gorgeous, the room is nice, good views — even from the bathtub (my room was 3105) hard bed. Breakfast not included. From the description I thought it was near the bund… it is not, I had to take a taxi. With only 15 houts on town, I would have picked somewhere else. It seemed that only one person spoke english… the guy outside. He was super helpful. When asking questions of the front desk and concierge, I got no where. I had this at a 4 but as started typing dropped to a 3.

Not as good as it should be for the price. I ordered the French onion soup and a burger with fries. The soup tasted like onion water. No flavor at all. The fries were cold and soggy. The burger was just ok. Nothing really worth the price. The room was disappointing. The carpet is dirty and the overall condition of the room is pretty dated and just lacks any charm.

My favorite Doubletree. I always get a free upgrade to an executive suite in the East Wing. The garden is beautiful and the Executive Lounge access is a big plus.

Whatever this brand is in the US, they've certainly missed the standard here in Pudong. To begin: they do not offer free Wi-Fi in room. Where else in China would you expect the Wi-Fi to not be provided for free in hotel room? In my 4 years of travel to 20+ Chinese cities, I cannot think of a single hotel (local or international) that keeps this policy. Management was completely unwilling to bend the policy for what were fairly special circumstances. When I asked to speak to the manager (in Mandarin) he at first told his staff to inform me he was too busy. Finally he came out. It did not matter that our group (12+ people) were only going to be in the hotel from 7pm — 6am (not including dinner outside) and that the group had flown all the way from the US and was leaving China at 6am the next morning. Even for a situation where Wi-Fi use would be extremely limited but also very helpful to have in-room, the manager refused. The best suggestion he could come up with was: "take a selfie in your hotel room, the come down to the lobby for free public Wi-Fi to send the selfie to family and loved ones to let them know you arrived OK. " What that solution neglects is that communication is a 2-way street, and when extended across international date lines, it is very helpful to have a consistent stream of Wi-Fi access.

Stayed 2 times in 1 week and in both instances, was upgraded to a complimentary suite with my diamond status. Had a bit if time hunting down the new exec lounge, not realizing that they had a new one elsewhere.

Wi-Fi is an extra fee? Taxi drivers tooting all night? Horrible stay, come on Hilton.

Was here last spring 2013. Very nice room with excellent restaurant.

Breakfast is good. But guest room has no Wifi.
