I visited this place in the winter of 2012 and stayed for about 3 weeks. Nice hotel, a lot of options on the walk distance.
A relatively short walk from the Hengshan Road metro station, the Hengshan Picardie has a great art deco style and outstanding customer service. I accidentally booked two rooms rather than one and unsuccessfully tried to cancel one of the reservations. The higher-price reservation was a no-cancellation-allowed deal that was more expensive than the room booked through the hotel. The Hengshan Picardie managed to cancel the more expensive reservation, anyway, and convinced the booking agency to accept this. Also, the breakfast buffet offered a broad variety of excellent selections.

Stayed at this hotel and had a good experience. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Very good customer service and staff that is conscious of the fact that foreigners need a little more help with directions and local customs. I recommend this place.
