The location is great and the staff were really friendly and helpful. We stayed there just one night, the room and the bathroom were clean and the bed very comfortable.
We stayed here for 8 nights and loved it, it was great value for price. Very good location near shops and places to eat, and a few minutes walk to Dongsi underground station. The breakfast included in the rate consisted of a lovely croissant and scrambled eggs, for only an extra 5 yuan you can upgrade to a ham salad sandwich. Staff speak good English and are very helpful. Simple room with daily service and all the basics covered.
For a more authentic place to stay this was OK. My room was in the basement and it had AC which was great. Shower was always hot with good pressure. Bed was a little hard for me. Breakfast was an egg and a crossaint/Danish. I. Didn't like the pastries so they gave me 2 eggs instead of 1 which was a nice gesture. Using the code for the door was a little annoying and dint make the hostel seem safer. The front desk staff had very little English but were very helpful.
