El Pangue Lodge

The view is great and the cabins are beautiful. The bed is comfortable. However, it is super cold inside the cabin because they let the heating system at low power to save money, which is outrageous in a high cost hotel like this. Therefore, it is very unpleasant inside the cabin. I complained to the staff about the temperature and they completely ignored me. No answer at all. Also outrageous is the limitation in the number of eggs you can have for breakfast — 2 — if you want more you have to pay. The staff is rude and unhelpful.

The staff is organized. Everything goes on a schedule — breakfast, dinner, hot tub, …. And They are ready for you at the appointed time. Sebastian grew up on the property and now manages the lodge with his lovely wife. He gave me two fly fishing lessons. And to my delight I caught three trout. He is an excellent guide and teacher. Accommodations are great as are the meals at their restaurant. They understand traveling and travelers, and so, make everything easy for their guests.

The Lodge was opened specifically for us by hosts Sebastian & Daniella! They cooked 2 amazingly delicious meals for us; these & a plentiful breakfast were brought to our cabin that included its own dining table! Very peaceful & ideally located for exploring Puyuhuapi and the beautiful Queulat national park. We loved the hot tub, sauna, beautiful local walks & welcome — El Pangue was the best stay of our 3 week trip to Latin America!

This is not the most luxury lodge but … definitely not bad. All required elements are available and … it is clean. Good quality of food, nice location, very relaxing, attentive service and very good pisco sour :). For those who like a "cold" swim: swimming pool available.

We couldn’t have wanted for anything more from the night we spent at El Panque. We received a warm welcome, our lodge was spacious and comfortable, the staff couldn’t do too much for us, from guidance on walking options to doing our laundry overnight. The restaurant was great and we had a lovely time in the hot tub and swimming pool as well as a super 30 minute sendero to a couple of beautiful miradors in the grounds and a walk along the jetty to enjoy the view of the lake.

I decided to stay at Pangue Lodge, attracted by the promise of a spectacular natural environment, which is certainly a plus. However, when analyzing the prices, I must say that the experience does not justify the cost.
What really left me perplexed were the management’s policies. I had never seen a place where concern for “damaged” items was so rigorous. For example, if a towel is lightly stained with makeup, be prepared to pay the full price for it. During our stay, we had an incident where the bed was stained. Although the sheets were washed without problems, we were charged an additional $100 for a duvet and two towels (it’s curious to note that they charged me $25 for a hand towel and $25 for a body towel, which obviously doesn’t make sense considering the different sizes. This shows that the pricing is absolutely arbitrary).
What makes me uncomfortable is that they don’t charge you a cleaning fee (which I was very willing to pay) but the full price of the object. Also, they didn’t show me the damaged towels or duvet to be transparent about the stains that allegedly didn’t wash off. So, I had to pay $100 because they told me the stains persisted but didn’t prove that they did.
The policy of replenishing inventory every time a small incident occurs makes guests involuntary contributors to their stock of products. Furthermore, the checkout process is uncomfortable.

Wonderful place to go as a family, the cabins are very comfortable 🥰

It is a magical place to visit at any time of the year, a place to relax and enjoy the nature, we had such a amazing, very much enjoyed the heated pool and jacuzzi, I hope to go back at some point in my life…

The place is beautiful, rooms comfortable, very clean, the staff very qualified and excellent attention, the food of a high standard. Fully recommended.
