Suite booked, all clean couch armchair and mattress would be interchangeable, eat typical AI, taste so lala, but main thing mass. Beach and lie very well.

This has been by far my least favorite hotel in Santa Maria, Sal Cape Verde. When I was checking in, the individual at the front desk goes over everything I purchased online and says, "looks like you didn't pay all your fees online so we are going to have to charge you the rest now BEFORE WE DO ANYTHING". I then try to make the conversation a little less hectic by saying, "welcome to Salinas and hope you enjoy your stay here". He then tried to tell me that the fees would cost me 2000euros/night for being a foreigner, which I then responded, " you are out of your mind my friend, because I am not paying that". When I asked to call the manager, he then calmed down and said, I meant to say it was 200euros/night. "very suspect". Long story short here is a list of the reasons why I would NEVER RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO ANYONE COMING TO SANTA MARIA CAPE VERDE. To iron your clothes you have to make a reservation for a iron, and there's only 1 burned iron throughout the entire hotel. White shirt I had planned to wear first night "RUINED". 2nd day I walk out my room and notice few men sanding down the wood balconies. As I walk through the men and try to look around for safety, I get hit with a pile of wood dust. Would of been great to have this part of the hotel secluded from all guests.

The rooms are not LUXURIOUS, but are of good quality. The meals were very good and the service and staff was incredible. The animation was fun. The pool was very fun and very close to the pool. Some people bothered us between the hotel and beach to buy some stuff, but not super bothersome. The beach bar was fun too. The beach was very enjoyable with good sand and beautiful water with good temperature. Too bad for the constant wind, but thats a given in Cabo Verde.

Ideal place for a quiet holiday.

Staff can't be faulted. Food excellent — but maybe a few plain type foods like potatoes or chips, plain chicken etc for people like myself who can't eat onions or dishes with sauces and dressings which likely contain onions. Rooms outstanding. Cleanliness — perfect.

Nice and fairly modern hotel facility, and delicious breakfast and dinner. I had cockroaches in the room but already got compensation. Everyone else is clean. The beds are comfortable. Very sweet and funny animation. Fitness area is very simple. Super vacation for a week alone or with family.

Everything on Sal island is beautiful. People places beach sand water even the stray dogs. I fell in love with everything.

A nice hotel, food tastes very good and varied, there is something for everyone! The rooms are well equipped, free Wi-Fi, the entire hotel is nice clean and the staff is very friendly. A large pool and a small one for kids. All inclusive booked and so everything was done right, so could even drink to beach all day since there is a beach bar. Wonderful holiday.

Hotel is generally very good. Considered one of the better hotels in the area. Stayed in one of the 'superior' garden view family rooms. Room is fair size with sofa + double bed + shower room, TV, fridge and sliding wardrobe. Air con faulty after a few days. Reported it but still remained faulty. That said Staff are friendly and helpful. Plenty to do at hotel, inc, games room, small gym, spa and massage + animation team offering poolside activities and evening dance shows. Loads of sun beds around pool, on grass and across road on beach. The early morning race is to reserve the best spot. There aren't many areas that provide shelter from the wind. They don't often mention the perpetual wind in the brochures, however without the wind the sun is ferociously hot. Access to beach club (bar and restaurant) is included. Beach club is excellent, afternoon DJ playing some funk in the afternoon to watch the sun go down. In front of the beach club there are the several hundred sun beds reserved for hotel guests. Food is wholly a buffet on all inc basis. Access to 3 other restaurants included with all inc on a voucher basis (bbq, suchi and 4 course restaurant taster menu).

The rooms were very nice and the breakfast was very good.

Nice and cosy, modern hotel on a good spot by the sea and walking distance from the local authentic Santa Maria village. Friendly locals and staff. Clean rooms. Excellent breakfast! Highly recommended for families, couples.

Two times was on the different islands of the Cape Verde, and this hotel on the Salé is without doubt the only normal new hotel on the islands with international standards. The staff were very friendly and the room was clean. Real 3 stars. It is 5 minutes from the beach of Santa Maria and from all the cafes, restaurants and sea entertainment. Large spacious room with a balcony. The only problem of the hotel-it is a huge number of flies and ants, with which the staff is hard to fight. The place on the beach and by the pool is worth taking in the morning-lots of tourists. And I do not advise to have lunch and dinner here, the food is absolutely mediocre. But overall not bad.

5 star hotel that is not worth it. Last year I was in a 3 star in Boa Vista and we had free drinks out. Here at Sal, everything pays off except the water.

The people, accommodation and food were all brilliant. Great position to the beach and brilliant evening entertainment. The best new years eve we've had in a very long time.

We enjoyed our time here. Very bad start with a 90 minute delay in checking in. No real apology just excuses from the manager. However, the room was clean, tidy and spacious with the side sea view we booked. We went all inclusive. Food was very hit and miss. We are not fussy eaters, but struggled on occassion. The restaurants are good onsite, but we did eat out a lot. Half board etc you have to pay for drinks/food which was not value for money. I would recommed the hotel for cleanliness, but make sure you make compromises in areas to suit you.

Decent hotel but must be considered a 4 star! Pool small and very few sunbeds. Correct food without more! Staff Nice beach.

Rooms spacious with side sea views. Cleanliness good to very good and the food is varied. The pier is within walking distance in 10 to 15 minutes. The beach is very good and clean.

We stayed bnb and cannot fault the food, staff or accommodation. All of the staff were super friendly amazingly helpfully and had excellent local knowledge. Be aware that the hotels band appear to increase the likelihood of scam artists trying to enamour you with the "I'm security at your hotel — come see my mother's market" type scams. Take your bands off or cover them for a less stressful shopping experience in santa maria. The hotel is clean, room cleaning was immaculate, front desk will arrange taxi services for cheap transport on the island. I hate forced entertainment but the animation team were fab! Cannot fault their enthusiasm or ability. Breakfast was varied and very few flies on site (recent refurb) I'd stay again here in a flash if we went back!

Beautiful, friendly staff, the hotel is amazing, and plenty of sunshine and of course it's very hot, so plenty of sun screen, beach is on the door step.

Good hotel. Didn't buy the All inclusive cuz we wanted to try local food. Which is delicious.

Nice place to stay. Room is large, Wi-Fi and AC works. Terrible smell from the kitchen goes to the room, so we couldn't use balcony. Food could be better for 5* hotel. Found mold in the bathroom.

Definitely not a 5* hotel maybe 3*. I was given the room on the ground level so there was only way in and out through balcony window… a room was quite clean and nice but not sunny. Cannot open the window at night because of it was the door also as I mentioned ealier. Bathroom was dirty. On walls and on the floor there were black spots between the terracotta pieces. Towels were smell like they haven't dry them properly. Food was plain everything tastes the same. There were only tuna served in the various kind of sauce ex. To sum up I have to admit that the beach and the ocean were awesome and Cabo Verde is definitely worth seeing but I do not recomend staying in this Hotel.

Remember you are west off the African coast I think the place is brilliant, 4 star for Africa. There are plenty of new buildings going up, go before it gets to over grown. All inclusive is a must when you see the local restaurants.

The food of hotel of 5 stars nothing. Little and always the same pork and chicken.

If you are looking for the place at Cape Verde with beautiful beach, clean ocean, night life and great services you can´t choose better! Accomodation Room is very nice and cosy, each room has TV, sofa, big balcony and very nice decorations which makes you feel very comfortable. The bed is big but matraces are a bit hard for sleeping. You have 3 possibilites of the room to choose: standard, garden view (you pay the fee) and sea view (you pay the fee). Bathroom is also very nice and spacious with a big mirror. The room services cleans the room and change towels every day. There is also a small fridge in the room where you still have cold bottles of water. You can also use the air conditioning which is very silent and user friendly to manipulate. Restaurants and food There are 3 restaurant: basic restaurant, Tradicion and Beach restaurant. In the basic restaurant you have breakfast, lunch and dinner every day. The food is very good, every day you get fresh fish, vegetables, frutis — you will not miss anything. Tradicion — you can get a voucher at the reception to this restaurant. This restaurant has a la carte system and it is available only for dinner. You have to book the term of your dinner at the reception. At this restaurant you degust 6 meals (2 small starters, 2 small meals and 2 deserts). It is very tasty, we absolutely recommend this place. Beach restaurant — you also have to book the term for the dinner by the voucher you get at the reception.

Too bad that the shower from the beach is not yet finished. Otherwise very nice.
