Very pretty, well-maintained hotel. Nice, comfortable rooms with balconies (ours overlooks the pool). Great having the kitchenette! Front desk staff r lovely. I like the free coffee machine in the lobby. Gym is well equipped and there is laundry for those having a longer stay. Pool and hot tub r small but suits the size of the hotel. I would highly recommend this place! Rooms r a little noisy from noise from kids splashing in the pool.

It’s been years since I have been to what used to be the Old House restaurant but renamed as Locals. Dinner was fantastic and service was top notch. Hotel is new, clean with spacious rooms. There is an out door pool and hot tub. The grounds are well maintained and quite beautiful with a lovely path along the river. Definitely will come back and stay again.

It’s the best place in CV… including outdoor warm pool & hottub… & Locals Restaurant on-site.

Great stop after long drive huge rooms clean well fitted out will checkout the rest after a good feed.

The rooms are nice and clean but the staff at the front desk is terrible. The guy who checked me in was rude and super judgemental. I won’t stay here again, customer service isn’t hard, if you don’t want to take the effort then I won’t make the effort to stay there. Really, really disappointing… considering there’s a Best Western right across the street…

Beautiful facility! Heated salt water pool and jacuzzi, spacious rooms, nice gym, guest laundry room and a good restaurant. Staff were very helpful and professional. Coffee/Latte machine in lobby and fresh baked cookies.

Great hotel. Friendly front service desk. Rooms are spacious and beds are very comfortable. The pool and hot tub were very welcome after a day of hiking on Mt. Washington. Only downside was a lot of children at the pool. Not really an adult's spa hotel.

We stayed here for one night while we enjoyed Locals next door. Our room was clean, modern and the bed was comfortable. The pool is open til 10pm — good for a late night dip. Free coffee and cookies in the lobby while you read a new paper. Would stay here again.

The best spa experience I've ever had! I had a facial, pedicure and manicure by Megan. She is absolutely amazing. Very highly recommend her!

Located on the Putledge River on the historic Old House property, this hotel is very nice. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The king suite was warm and spacious. A large soaker tub to relax and unwind if you wish, or your just steps away from the pool and jacuzzi over looking the river. Locals restaurant is located right next door if your craving some west coast seafood. The room is comfortable enough, should you wish to order in and snuggle up on the couch with a fireplace and large TV with plenty of movies to watch. Well done!

We stayed here to visit my wife's parents, and it was a very nice stay! We stayed at the suite so we had a kitchen so we were able to buy groceries and make our own food. The room was nice and the price was very reasonable.

Always a great stay. Views of the river. Pool is warm. Hot tub is nice and hot. Both outdoors in the fresh Island air. Close to skiing, hiking, ocean and more. Cookies at the front desk. Yum. Rooms are very comfortable and clean. Kitchenettes are fully functional.

The king size suite is excellent. In-suite laundry, lots of windows. Full kitchen. Bedding is comfortable. The balcony with bistro set is lovely to sit out and have a beverage and relax. Artwork on the walls is great, as though and effort was made. The outdoor heated pool is a bit tight, but really fantastic. Great temperature and so fun. They have two hot tubs, which are equally as nice. Very Family friendly. The spa was booked full, so I unfortunately did not get to partake in that, but hope to one day.

Love this hotel but… When you walk into the room and see the size of the TV you are instantly disappointed. The staff are extremely professional and friendly, rooms are cleaned properly and the overall appearance of the site is great. I will continue to stay here for the summer but come winter I will look for a different place. .

Lovely rooms! Clean, well stocked, bright, and modern. Lovely outdoor pool/ whirlpool well heated for winter use. Great ski/stay package, and secured underground parking. Will be returning!

Perfect hotel where staff help you when you need them other than that they let you be. Very good price for all the services you receive. Hotel price you see is not only for bed but for everything you need. Free safe underground parking where your hotel room key opens the door. Free Wi-Fi with no passwords. Easy access to everything you need with no complications. Free coffee cookie and fruit bar 24/7. It is the first time in a hotel I don't feel everything is a fishing hook to get me to pay more for every little comfort I need. It is the perfect hotel for me.

Unprofessional and greedy We booked their Hotel three months in advance due to a family emergency we were delayed by one day. After traveling more than three hours to reach the destination we were told our reservation had been canceled with no one confirmation email or courtesy phone call. This was all the family weekend and they were more concerned about making money then doing the right thing. I would not recommend wasting your time with this Company.

I thoroughly enjoyed a "relaxing massage", and then dinner at Locals. It was quite possibly the best massage I have ever had. Dinner was amazing, and the cream puff desert was heavenly.

Clean updated and also made you feel at home in the room. Pool and hot tub were outside and closed. Pillows were weird and more square than rectangular. No restaurant for breakfast on site. I would stay here again.

Nice rooms. Well laid out with kitchen. Prevalent road noise from bridge behind property.

This is hands down one of our favourite hotels on the Island, the staff are incredibly friendly and the entire experience was over the top and more than we could have expected!

Love the Penthouse… spa was awesome… the Locals Restaurant needs to have a word with itself & it's staff… the food is amazing… the attitude of the staff & the price of alcohol less so… hence cancelled dinner tonight & tucked up in our luxurious suite & hoping brunch at Locals on Sunday improves my opinion.

Nice, reasonably new property. Suites are well appointed with most of the comforts of hotel. Didn't have time to go to their spa but it looked lovely and the list of services is good with reasonable prices.

They had a big clean quiet room for all 4 of us and storage for our bikes. We have no complaints.

Very nice 3 star hotel. Great location and within walking distance of restaurants, pubs, and coffee shops. Only complaint would be the room was a bit small. The bed was nice and the room had very nice furnishings.

Really nice rooms in a great location. Outdoor heated salt pool and hottub, as well as indoor. The restaurant behind the hotel is incredible, and so is the coffee maker and cookies in the lobby. Great hotel.

Amazing hotel. It pretty much looks like a chalet. It gives you an at home feeling, which I love. Very relaxing and the color are warm and earthy. We had a friendly welcome and the hotel is very clean. Staff was very nice and informative when we had questions. There were cookies, candies, coffee, tea and lemon water in the entrance way. There is access to an outdoor pool and hot tub. Check in did not take long. The room was clean and each bed had a bathrobe placed on it which I thought was a nice touch. There is a small kitchen area with plates and cups which I thought was amazing as we ordered food and did not need our own utensils and eating ware. The lighting is perfect in the room, as most hotels I've been too only have lamps. This has central lighting. I loved the bathroom. It was clean, had a standing shower and a tub. Classy pictures in the room related to nature and the environment Vancouver has to offer. Good number of restaurants nearby. Would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting. Definitely makes you feel special and right now is on my top list of hotels.

A great choice! Spacious, clean unit with kitchen, in-suite laundry for longer stays. Located in a park-like setting with a good selection of amenities within a 10 minute walk. Pet friendly.

We have stayed here 3 times now and love it! The front desk staff is awesome and remember us because of our service dog Sarge. We had a suite with an outside door and a place to sit and have our morning coffee enjoying the lovely courtyard and flowers! Super convenient to take the dog out for his mid night stroll! We will be back! Thank you.

We stayed in the south side and had a lovely suite. Could have used an extra blanket to stay warm while having the room cool, but that's just being picky. If you are planning on using the pool you might want to stay in the side that has the pool for convenience when it's so cold. Food in Locals was delicious!

Stayed here for our short visit up to Mt. Washington and I'm glad we did. My first thought at the name was that it would be old bedspreads with old rooms but looking at the website changed that thought immediately. Our robes were missing from our room upon arrival and it was dealt with immediately. The huge fluffy pillows made for a very comfy sleep, but the pullout sofa was a bit lumpy, we survived. My Mother in Law told us about the lady who owned the main house and had warm memories of her lining the streets with planted flowers.

Been here befor,, will come again,, only problem was the kid's from Sooke School district that were rude and overly obnoxious harassing us in the pool and blocking the way when in the hall oblivious of other people. I understand they are on an adventure,,, but they need to learn manners and respect. The Hotel did very well at helping us and getting us to our room next to the pool and would recommend The Old House to anyone … just ask if any school kids are here first. Still a wonderful place.

Excellent room (1 bed suite). Only complaint bed isn't all that comfortable. Locals restaurant had the best steak I've had.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Old House Village Hotel & Spa. Vanessa, in particular, was terrific and she always had an answer to all my (crazy and abundance of) questions. She made me feel like a VERY special guest; she knew I was working with media for the whole weekend and made accommodations according to my ad-hoc schedule. The other staff were very kind and courteous as well! The hotel was very clean, beautiful, had a separate (large) bedroom, living room, TV with a patio and full-kitchen. This has been my favourite hotel stay! Thanks for having me and my team and supporting the entire media for BC Shellfish and Seafood Festival. Cheers.

Warning! Not an OLD house at all! :D The exterior is in great shape, the rooms looks brand new as well with private fake fireplace. There is a nice and long paved trail along the shore just net to the building. Try the neighbouring seafood restaurant too!

A warm and enjoyable stay at the old house. The pent house suit is an incredible room 2 floors, balcony, the river view is something to be desired, you can see a sliver of river yes but on the other side of the river is an abandoned over grown industrial lot. Coupled with the non stop noise from the 17th St bridge grates when cars drive over it. TLDR; room was great! River view is not worth the extra (over grown industrial lot along with the noise from the bridge)

Old house was very welcoming, clean and comfortable. Their rates were reasonable for a full kitchen and access to a shared hot tub. My only complaint would be the amount of noise heard from the room during the day hours (3pm-5:30pm). The cleaners and maintainers were quite loud during these hours. Overall I'd highly recommend Old house if you're staying in the area.

We are regulars when we visit Courteny. Fantastic new rooms, hosts very attentive, and great pool/hot tub.

Really nice place to stay, beautiful rooms with a lot of nice little touches, like free coffee and cookies in the lobby, high quality toiletries, etc). If you do choose to stay here, request a room on the back side of the building, which has a much more picturesque view.
