Riverside Motel

Rooms were clean and fresh. Very practical. I was in the area for work and the owner accomodated my request for a late check out as I had a business call. I appreciated how helpful it was.
Location was convenient and scenic!
I definitely recommend. Its not your typical small town motel!

I stayed in this motel last week for three days. I will never stay there again or recommend to any family member or friend that they stay there!
This is a seasoned facility that doesn’t appear to have been updated in a very long time.
The first night I froze and spent most of it swatting maple buds that were landing on me while trying to sleep.
The next day I found a hole in my bedroom window the size of a coffee cup, which may be associated with the heat loss.
The coffee maker didn’t work the first morning and I found that it was plugged with grounds. I cleaned that and was able to make it work.
There were three locations on the ceiling in the bathroom that had cob webs and one with a spider in it.
The bathroom also had mold in a number of spots.
If you want hot water quickly you'll be disappointed. You have to run the water for awhile to finally get it.
The gentleman managing this facility doesn’t appreciate issues being brought to his attention. He becomes defensive and combative immediately.
If you compare the cost/night of this facility to others in the immediate area you’ll realize its not worth the cost.

We booked this motel for our family's stay. They were very happy with the room, service & cleanliness. Highly recommend our town motel!

Stopped here for the night during a road trip. The first room we were given cleaning had not been finished (unmade beds). The second room the toilet would not flush. Upon my husband telling the worker at the front desk no option was given to move us to another room or fix it. My HUSBAND fixed the toilet himself. Unfortunately the other motel in town was not open or we would have switched over to that one. Overall not happy with our stay and will not be returning in the future.

I recently had the good fortune to find a diamond in the rough. I never expected to find such a property in such a quaint but small community like Eastend. The room was spotless and had updates like USB plugs on the lighting fixtures. Everything I could want but coupled with the hospitality at the front desk, I can highly recommend the value one gets at this motel.

Very expensive for what it was: an old motel room, no breakfast, weedy flower beds, uncut grass, bumpy gravel driveways, and the front desk unmanned most of the time. Upon check in, it took three room moves to finally get a room without water leaking on the bathroom floor. Once used, the towels smelled like dirty dishrags, so towels were not properly sanitized. Everything was over-scented with deodorizer, so who knows what the cleaning regime is.

It was very, very, very expensive for what it was: an old motel room, no breakfast, weedy flower beds, uncut grass, bumpy gravel driveways, and the front desk unmanned most of the time. Upon check in, it took three room moves to finally get a room without water leaking on the bathroom floor. Once used, the towels smelled like dirty dishrags, so towels were not properly sanitized. I know I will stay in Shaunavon next time.
