Hôtel du Lac Champlain, an Ascend Collection Hotel

Could understand why they set up this hotel in this little town. Room was spacious with the wonderful view of the lake (that is when you skip looking at the parking lot and the busy road). Though a bit disappointed with the housekeeping as they did not even arrange the bed nor change sheets (based on experience when checked in for a couple of days), only took out the trash and refilled coffee pods. Perhaps if you leave tips after the 1st night they might? The spa you have to pay separately and not included with your room (again I find this odd). Noah Spa was indeed a wonderful thermal experience so that is probably the reason they charge independently. The gym has well-working equipment so you have to take advantage of it at least.

Very clean and spacious room, modern design, good bedding, beautiful view od the lake from balcony. There were couple things which I didn’t like such as weak and slow internet signal, cable TV without streaming options and very difficult to use own streaming devices because there was no eletrical outlet near TV and no easy access to the TV inputs. TV set is attached to the wall in such way there is impossible to connect anything. The hotel’s policy to take deposit equaling total cost of our staying, despite that it was already prepaid also seemed very weird for us.
The restaurant served very good food, we had two breakfasts and one dinner and all meals were excellent with reasonable prices.

This has been one of our favorite hotels in Quebec (great view on lake and golf, spacious clean rooms, amazing spa and good food, all of which you can get as a combo from time to time to relax and recharge). We have visited on several occasions even on the famous June 23rd when there was no water, the receptionist was not mentioning it as written by another unhappy client, and we were not allowed to eat in the restaurant because there were no more clean dishes according to the restaurant director even though the restaurant was full and we had called and left a message for a reservation. We still did not complain and came back on June 29 as planned to stay there for 2 nights and enjoy the spa and the restaurant as we did in 2024. This year everything was different. The problem with the water continued (no drinking water, it had to be boiled but same for the whole municipality, so no complains). Price was about 20% higher for the same package in 2025 compared to 2024 (again prices are higher everywhere so co complains). We wanted to use the 50% off birthday promotion in the spa as we did last year and that completely ruined our experience. We had to go between the spa and the reception of the hotel on several occasions and finally had to pay at the spa and restart the negotiations at the hotel so that we do not get double billed.

On June 23rd, I arrived at the hotel with my wife. The receptionist assigned me a room. When I got to the room, I saw there was no water and neither the toilet nor the shower worked. I called the reception, and they told me it was a city issue and that service would be restored within 30 minutes to an hour. After an hour, I called and they told me it would take another hour. I asked why they didn't inform me upon arrival and that I could look for another hotel. The receptionist told me she forgot, but that if I left, I wouldn't get a refund. I called Booking. Com since I made the reservation through this operator. They contacted the hotel and told me to wait a little longer. At 8:30 pm, I checked out of the hotel! I'm disappointed! I feel deceived by the receptionist, since I was aware of the water cutoff, but they didn't notify me upon arrival and then didn't refund the charge. I believe that not having water and not being able to wash oneself is a basic aspect of hotel services. The receptionist, I think, deceived me. I will continue trying to get a refund, and if necessary, I will take them to court. This is a matter of principle; they must respect their customers.

A very pleasant experience in this hotel, very spacious rooms at a good price, which you can find in other places as well as an apartment at much higher prices. The spa area offers you 4 hours of relaxation at a very good price, and for those who are passionate about golf it is the perfect place. The position of this hotel also benefits those who are passionate about water sports and swimming, being located next to the lake.

Pros:
-Spacious room, and large bathroom with a huge mirror.
-Good amount of space in the parking area.
-Has a direct access to the restaurant Greg that is really good and worth coming for.
-Wifi works well.
-Peaceful (except when people shout in the corridor), and curtains block the sunlight well.
-Complete gym available onsite (there was a very strange and agressive smell in the room though).
Cons:
-Old TV in the room, that isn’t connected to internet or cable. So bring your own computer or streaming device if you want to watch something.
-The view on one side is over the golf course (not much to see), and on the other side is toward the lake (behind the parking and behind the road). So unless you’re at the top floor, the view isn’t impressive.
-Rooms are very expensive for such features and in this environment (300$ per night after special discount, not including breakfast nor dinner nor spa)
-Once there, your options are very limited if you want to go out (no other activities, and only 2 other pizza/burgers restaurants available).
I don’t recommend to take a trip just to stay at this place.

Loved my stay! The rooms are huge, spotless, and have an amazing lake view. The spa is relaxing and well-kept, perfect for unwinding. The dining room is lovely, with beautiful lake views and excellent food. Highly recommend for a peaceful, luxurious getaway!

This hotel has amazing rooms: spacious, elegant, modern, and with great views. The gym is great too. It also has a great restaurant. There are a good Fromagerie and a winery not far. And there are a few cons too. The major one is the spas. It is so hot and humid inside that we could not use them. Using 2 spas outside is only possible if you pay 55cad per person per day. The lake is beautiful, but there are none canoes or long boards to use. Even renting bikes is 10 cad, but none bike trails. If you are a golfer, you are in luck.

Every year, the women in my family go on a girl weekend. It was our first time here, and it was a nice stay. Some ladies had regular rooms which were very nice and spacious. I had a suite to welcome all the group for meals. Nice balcony with view on the lake.
The suite was spacious and bright, with a long counter and a nice table. But we all found the space bare, having enough space for extra ottomans, a coffee table, chairs. The bedroom was very open to the rest of the space.
The food at the restaurant was simply amazing! Well worth the prices (quality of local ingredients).
Be informed that the spa is not accessible unless reserving. So no access to pool or jacuzzis. A small annoyance to be aware of.

Our room had a lake view, but the Wi-Fi didn't work. I complained to the front desk, the only thing they said was that they couldn't do anything. Then I complained even more strongly, I was offered a different room. But it didn't have a lake view and I didn't get a discount.
The spa closes at 5pm!
It was a waste of time and money.

I can't believe it! The front desk said, "There are no other rooms you can change to. You can use your Wi-Fi in the office on the first floor. I can't do anything. It's not my fault. "
By the way, how did you recognize it was me? My husband made the reservation in his name. What a careless response!

The hotel is right facing the lake which has beautiful views. The room is ok, AC is too noisy. Sunday brunch is great with quiet and cozy vibes which I enjoyed a lot. The girl at reception with ´Zoe ´on her necklace is very friendly and nice.
No comb which was sad cuz I forgot mine.

Really nice hotel. Rooms are very cool. The only downfall was the weather wasn't good the 1st night/morning we were there so unfortunately, we couldn't enjoy our golf view room but that's Mother Nature's fault 😉 Thankfully the weather cleared. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Whether you have a golf view or lakeview, both are lovely.

I had the most disgusting visit to this hotel on May 18, 2024. The room looked nice but when we got back to our room late in the evening, we discovered that there was a blood stain on the bed sheets. The hotel has no staff at night so we had to track down the security guard to get us new sheets. We checked out the next morning and demanded to see the manager who was not there. We left with instructions with the front desk that we are NOT to be charged for the room until the manager called us back. Three weeks later, no one called me back and the hotel proceeded to charge the full price for the room and has never even sent a receipt. I called the hotel back today and AGAIN the manager was not in. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL or bring a black light with you to make sure your room was actually cleaned.

This place exceeded my expectations. Room was spotlessly clean. I liked having a beer/wine mini bar as you don't often see that anymore in hotels. And with a choice of 3 full bottles rather than the tiny ones. The spa was tremendously fun with its unique water circuit pool. I've seen some "meh" reviews of the restaurant but I have to say that our experience was spectacular. The starter I ordered was one of the best things I've ever tasted — tempura duck drumsticks with Indian spices and crunchy chick peas. I wasn't hungry enough for the brunch but that was very good also. The buffet part was Euro-style cold options (cheeses, fruit, meats, croissant, etc. ) and then you could order hot items from the menu that are served to you, which I think is a perfect combination. I thought the price of it all was a great value for everything we got.

We really enjoyed our stay in the King Executive Suite and loved the size of the room, the big windows and the layout. The bed was very comfortable and the hotel was quiet. Our dinner at the restaurant was incredible — limited menu but excellent dishes, beautifully presented and good portion sizes.
Things I think the room are lacking: a coffee table in the couch/living room area, a small kitchenette (sink, microwave/toaster), a dresser for clothes and some artwork/decorations.

Great impecable service and very relaxing.

Beautiful relaxing place to be, plus the spa is fantastic.
