Maison Rose

I do not have sufficient superlatives to describe what an incredible and captivating experience it was to stay at Maison Rose. When planning my wife's and my recent honeymoon, I wanted to surprise her with a location that reflected both historical flair as well as exude class, but not to the point of pretension. It was an easy decision to book with Maison Rose, as I was impressed with everything as outlined in the photos, as well as the large swath of positive user reviews on Google.
Little did I know how we were about to have our mind blown with what an incredible experience it was.
One of the proprietors, Shona, contacted us the day on which we were travelling to Hudson, to confirm our reservation. When we showed up, Shona was friendly, affable, high energy and showed an intense and enthusiastic passion for the inn. Her infectious excitement was a pleasure to behold and reinforced our gladness at book at Maison Rose. She gave us some history on the hotel, showed us around and gave us the key to our room, which was both beautifully appointed and impeccable insofar for condition and cleanliness.
We had a chance to tour the other floors of the hotel and each floor resonated such character and historical flavour — it was a delight to stop and look at the various antiques while reminiscing about times past.
Dinner for us was across the street at L'Embers, and it was literally a minute walk to an absolutely yummy supper.

Wow! The Victorian Age revisited tastefully. Wonderful bedding (weighted blanket/ duvet was amazing) and great sleep. Accommodated my need for a first floor room. Very close to everything Hudson! Thank you James, for a delightful stay.

A truly beautiful hotel. Everything was spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. The service was flawless from start to finish — attentive, professional, and genuinely kind. We felt welcome and relaxed the entire stay. Highly recommended.

Merci Maison Rose! stayed 1 night in the Victor Hugo suite at the top of the maison. Beautiful room, HUGE bathroom, so quiet, wonderfully decorated, slept like a log. So much work and attention to detail has been put into this place, you have to experience it to believe it. One thing that I noticed was that for an old house of this vintage, miraculously, there are no creaky stairs or floors! perfect.
We left really early before breakfast so didn't get to try that out but I'm sure it's also outstanding.
Ample parking behind the B&B, lots of restaurants nearby to walk to and a great local craft brewery basically across the street (loved that place too). I'll be back. This place is a gem.

It was so cute and so much fun! I love the vintage vibe and I would definitely come back for a longer stay. The service was amazing as well as the breakfast. The common places are incredible. The town is very cute in the fall and there’s a lot of antique boutiques. 10/10

Just spent four nights at Maison Rose and I couldn’t be more pleased with my stay. The room was beautiful, meticulously clean and absolutely charming. The amenities were very nice and I never had to ask twice for anything. The staff were very friendly and the owner, James, is absolutely top-notch, with his amiable personality and obvious love and pride of his business. I will not hesitate to recommend this lovely little hotel and hope to have the privilege of staying here again in the future.

Recently spent four nights at Maison Rose and I couldn’t possibly have been more impressed. The room was lovely and absolutely charming and immaculately clean and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. And the owner? Definitely the “host with the most”; very amiable and goes out of his way to make sure his guests are happy and have everything they need. I hope to have the good fortune of staying in this lovely hotel some time in the future and will definitely recommend it to people I know.

Quaint old inn that was returned to it's purpose a couple of years ago. Great location right in the center of Hudson. The room was very clean and comfortable. Bathroom was large but basic and a little more counter space would be useful. Note there is no elevator and our room was on the third floor. Fortunately we're fit enough.
Overall a delightful place to stay in Hudson.

We visit family in Hudson and regularly stay at Maison Rose. We probably have spent 10 nights now. This is by far, the best small hotel / B&B we have stayed in. If you are a cleanliness nut, this place is immaculate. The rooms and halls are beautifully appointed with beautiful antiques. The staff couldn't be more friendly and accommodating. I could go on and on… stay here it's awesome!

Maison Rose checks all the boxes. Amazing location, beautifully decorated, very clean, welcoming host, unique experience. We enjoyed our stay very much. Highly recommend taking a few quiet moments for tea on the front porch in the morning. An absolute treasure.

We had a delightful stay at this creatively imagined and beautifully executed auberge. Our room was delightful with the most attractive and amusing rose wallpaper. Loved art on the walls, the fascinating decor and the breakfast with fresh baking, local cheese, excellent coffee and a great big pile of fruit. Shout out to the helpful staff.

A wonderful stop on our way. Excellent host. Comfy room with timeless decor. Croissants and coffee on the porch topped off pur overnight visit. All around delightful. Highly recommend.

Wonderful experience staying at this one of a kind boutique inn. The owner and staff make your feel at home the minute you arrive. Super clean and very comfortable rooms. The entire building is full of beautiful paintings and antiques you will continue to wonder about all the time it would take to collect and display all these wonderful items. Definitely a place to stop and stay.

Our stay at the Maison Rose in Hudson, Quebec was fantastic! We were greeted by the owner and concierge upon arrival to help park the boat trailer and truck. Our room was spotless and very well appointed. The whole building is tastefully decorated with many interesting artifacts and interesting pieces. The owner went above and beyond to make sure that our experience was enjoyable. We were given suggestions about where to go for dinner since it was a Tuesday and not every restaurant in the area was open. This hotel is well worth a try!

I had a wonderful and relaxing stay at Maison Rose. Shona and team were delightful hosts, my room was spotless and very comfortable (and quiet) ; and the highlight was the morning tea with delicious fresh fruit and croissants. I will be staying here again and I cannot recommend this gem of a boutique hotel highly enough!

We wanted a small intimate wedding ceremony and Maison Rose delivered! It was just us and the kids but what a special day the whole team there made it out to be. The attention to detail, the food, the hospitality, everything was absolutely perfect. Thank you so much for making our special day absolutely incredible! Would highly recommend this venue for a small intimate wedding. You'll be treated with such care and attention. We can't say enough great things about the hotel and the whole team.

The hotel is look like a hollywood set movie. Those places where you see Julia Roberts in a movie. Even James, the owner, is a very handsome man and could act as the couple of Julia Roberts. Of all the hotels we have been to in the world, we were lucky enough to know this one, which is so special that it makes you want to come only to stay in it. It has a special charm in which each environment reflects a corner of art, at its best. James is present and is very attentive to all needs, just like his wife. He should have more hotels like this, and promote to other hotel owners are like him. You wont regret it. Stay here cause you will live at your own movie.
