We stayed here recently while on a weekend getaway. The hotel was IMPECCABLE. I was so happy with our choice. The hotel is brand new with a very cool concept of rotating art. We were able to enjoy the downstairs cocktail bar and got to enjoy some of the best cocktails in town. Hotel is perfectly located, we were able to walk less than 10 ‘minutes to all of our reservations and entertainment in Montreal. Definitely recommend and really looking forward to coming back in the summer!
This boutique hotel is pretty unique. The rooms are modern and simply stylish. The location is key and the repurpose / rebuild of this old financial institution is a success.
We liked having a glass of wine while we visited the different visual elements on each floor, sitting for a few minutes at each before dinner.
On one of the nights we ate at the restaurant with the 7 course option. It was one of those truly gastronomic set menu experiences, too much food for my little appetite but SO great and totally unexpected!
The lounge in the basement is really cool, closed at midnight while we were there and we would have stayed longer. There was a dj spinning records. Overall, defiinitely recommend a stay here. Didn't feel like a hotel, in a good way :) Thanks!

My stay at Hotel Sonolux in Old Montreal this February was absolutely exceptional.
From the moment you walk in, it feels like you’ve stepped into a curated art experience rather than just a hotel. The lobby and common spaces are filled with stunning visuals. It genuinely feels like wandering through intimate art galleries. Every detail is intentional, artistic, and beautifully executed.
The service was flawless. Warm, attentive, and effortless. You feel genuinely welcomed, not processed.
The room was spotless and thoughtfully designed. Clean, elevated, and sensory in the best way. The lighting, textures, and overall aesthetic created such a calm and immersive atmosphere. It was both luxurious and deeply comfortable.
One of the highlights was Subterra, the speakeasy downstairs. A stunning lounge with incredible music and an unforgettable vibe. Again, more art, more atmosphere, more intention. It added another layer to the experience and made the hotel feel like its own little world.
