Maison Cartier Boutique Hotel

I had Such a nice stay in very nice rooms last summer! Definitely will be returning:)

Cute boutique hotel in the upbeat village neighbourhood. Very satisfied with the service from the staff, the 24hr front desk is a plus. Great rooms perfect for a short stay: mini-fridge, microwave and coffemaker inside of the room. Great value for your money!
Right in front of the metro!

We had low expectations going into this because we read the other reviews and it definitely lived up to those low expectations.
When we checked it the person at the front desk informed us our booking was only made for 1 even though all of our confirmation emails said 2. We went back and fourth until he decided to change the booking for us. When we got to the room we found the side tables full of garbage, a condom wrapper on the floor, and the tub and fridge that could’ve benefited from a good scrub. Or even just a wipe down.
Location of this place was amazing! and honestly if we paid regular price for this spot we wouldn’t have been upset with our stay because we would truly be getting what we paid for. However we paid Osheaga weekend prices, so one would hope the room would be cleaned between uses. Location is a across the street from the metro and is less than 20 minutes to downtown. There’s an amazing cafe less than 5 mins walking, a grocery store next door, a dispensary, everything you could need nearby. The hotel provided a breakfast each morning that consisted of egg muffins and butter, gatorade, water, orange juice or apple juice. There were also cookies and chocolates sometimes. They have a little kitchenette in the lobby and fridges in the rooms.
BEWARE, the hotel is next to a bar and in our room you could hear the music from the bar until 3am. So if you’re a light sleeper, ask for a room that is further east.

I made and paid for a reservation here a whole year in advance. Then at midnight, 15 hours before scheduled check-in, I get an email saying that they cancelled my reservation for no credible reason.
Good thing I was awake but it was an obnoixious and unprofessional thing to deal with at 1am.

I would avoid trying to book this place. 10 days before the Montreal Grand Prix they cancelled our reservations which had been booked through Expedia/VRBO. No way to engage them or find out why. The entire city is booked unless you’re able to spend more than $1500 a night which meant we had to cancel our trip and sell our tickets at a loss. Watching to see the room go back up but it seems the typical price gouging BS that has become an epidemic with all of the rental sites. Nightmare, don’t bother.

First thing I noticed upon check in, is there is no elevators! Feels like a loft more than a hotel. Also, check in is located adjacent to where the "hotel" is so that was odd. The hotel and area are quiet which was nice. Staff is nice, they attend to your needs.
Be aware of the room you are booking. I was given a different room than the one listed on the booking website, after bringing it up to their attention the manager stated it was a mistake on their end and I was met with some compensation for their mistake. Call in advance to make sure.
The location is great! gas stations, grocery store, restaurants, and minutes away from tourist areas.
The rooms are clean, but shower head was very old, falling apart. Needs replacing for sure.

Clean rooms with all the amenities I needed with a practical location. Will stay here again when travelling through montreal.

Fantastic hotel. Very helpful, efficient and accommodating staff. The room was tidy, clean and comfortable! The pricing is quite cheap compared to what I have seen on my other visits.

The location is really nice and the staff were so nice and accommodating. Unfortunately my room was not what I was expecting, it had a weird smell when I walked in, there was hair all over the bed sheets, the toilet wasn't clean, neither was the shower. It's alright for a quick stay but not the most comfortable.
