Hotel le Roberval

The rooms and amenities were decent however the staff, service, and location, was the best. The receptionist Saint Claire was super helpful even when I checked in early and had a difficult time navigating Montreal. He ensured I felt comfortable and provided very clear instructions. The location was perfect, not too far from Notre Dame Basillica and Via Rail.

Horrible place. The bathroom was mouldy and the heater was broken. The bathroom could only fit one person. The room was very cold. The hotel onsite parking is VERY limited and we had to park in a different location. The matress was super firm. Many other people complained that the rooms were either too hot or too cold. Some rooms were also so noisy, other people couldn’t sleep. The breakfast room was tiny and the food was very low-quality. The fruit salad was not fresh at ALL. Also, you can’t even go INSIDE the hotel since the doors are locked. The only way to go inside is to have SOMEONE ELSE open the door via keycard. Location gets five stars since it was downtown and convenient. But PLEASE, NEVER go to this hotel.

We really enjoyed our stay in Le Roberval Hotel. The location is absolutely fabulous. Walking distance almost everywhere so the only time we used Uber was when we wanted to go to Biodome. The rooms was nice, bedroom's bed was very comfortable, the pull out couch in the living room not as much but good enough for a child. :) Kitchen was small but sufficient, we did not even use it as we took advantage of all the options to eat out when on vacation. The bathroom was ok. Considering, that you are right by a hospital it was very quiet in the bedroom. The living room was a little noisy, when neighbors were coming in but that is normal.
Breakfast was a nice bonus, it was simple but fed us in the mornings so we could start sightseeing and not sitting somewhere spending time on breakfast. Croissants, chocolate croissants, muffins, cereal, oatmeal, bread, bagels, ham, cheese, boiled eggs, fruit and beverages.
Staff was wonderful, very helpful. You can park in front of the hotel to unload the car and then you need to repark it. Our car was too high for their garage but they gave us options where to park and we chose the Main Library which was 5 min away and left the car there the whole time. We paid 42 CAN dollars Thursday evening — Sunday noon and used Uber when necessary.
We will definitely choose the same place we come next time.

Great location — only about a 5-minute walk from the metro station, and you can also walk to the Old Town and Old Port. The area is super convenient! The room was very clean and had a small kitchen with everything you need like microwave, toaster, cups, and plates. The breakfast was delicious and had a good variety. Overall, it was a wonderful stay at a very reasonable price. Highly recommend for both tourists and business travelers!

Great Stay with Excellent Service and Prime Location.
Our stay was thoroughly enjoyable. The suite was thoughtfully laid out, featuring a convenient Murphy bed for our kids and a private bedroom for us. The kitchen was well-equipped with all the basics, which made cooking during our stay simple and convenient. The bathroom sink and counter were a bit compact but still completely functional.
What truly stood out was the exceptional service. The staff went above and beyond by providing us with two table fans when the AC alone wasn’t sufficient—something we really appreciated. The breakfast buffet, while not huge, offered a good selection that catered to different tastes.
Above all, the location of the hotel was a major highlight. It’s within walking distance of Chinatown, Old Port, and the Metro, which made exploring the city easy and hassle-free.
We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

My negative experience with this hotel began immediately after making the booking. To encounter such difficulties upon calling to confirm the reservation was received by the hotel (I booked it via booking. Com) is not an issue one should encounter before stepping foot in the establishment. In fact, this is the most simple request every hotel receives. It became such a hassle, after repeating thrice that I was simply asking to confirm the above, yet the gentleman I was speaking with kept telling me to contact booking. Com myself. Second, the day of our arrival, I called the hotel to ask if we could check in early, due to my online request for this stating it was subject to availability. Upon calling, the hotel manager answered and refused to even check if my room was ready, demanding that check in is always after 4pm. After repeatedly stating that “subject to availability” requires taking my information and checking in the system, he decided to comply and finally “check”, stating it was not. I’m disgusted that before even receiving the chance to provide my reservation details, my request was refused with an attempt to make me look stupid, despite having these details in writing. How can you state my room isn’t ready until after 4pm if you won’t even check¿ As the reservation holder, it is my right to simply ask concierge to check for room availability (once again a simple request that shows they do not want to do their job).

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The suite was thoughtfully designed, with a comfortable Murphy bed for our son and a private bedroom for us. While the bathroom sink and countertop were a bit compact, they were still functional, and the full-size shower with excellent water pressure made up for it.
The staff were absolutely exceptional—no matter what time we returned, they went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. Breakfast each morning offered a great variety; the buffet may be small, but it’s impressively well-curated with something for everyone. The serving staff were always friendly, attentive, and helpful.
We’ve already decided that this will be our go-to hotel for next year’s trip.

I had a great stay at the Roberval. Staff were helpful and very kind. The rooms were decent with good amenities such as the kitchenette and free breakfast included. Good location as well. Affordable with a weekend stay if you’re looking forward to wind down or stay here for a small period of time. A plus for me was the quietness and not much distraction on my opinion.

There is a metro station nearby. Plenty of restaurants and a supermarket nearby as well. Room has a living room, small kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. One can make some proper meal with kitchen utensils provided. Room service can be requested form the front desk. For the breakfast, it’s the standard continental style. Overall we liked our stay there, it’s cozy and comfortable, we feel this place is more like home than a hotel.

Hotel Le Roberval – Excellent Stay in a Great Location!
I had a fantastic stay at Hotel Le Roberval! The location is perfect—close to everything, making it easy to explore the city. The hotel was very clean, and the rooms were well-maintained, which made for a comfortable stay.
One of the highlights was the breakfast—there was a great selection of food, and everything was fresh and delicious. It was a great way to start the day!
Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a convenient and comfortable place to stay. I would definitely stay here again!

Great hotel with all you need and very affordable. The room was great with a balcony and kitchenette. Breakfast was included and I got to have a croissant every morning. The hotel was really close to most things. St Denis with all the restaurants and pubs, Old Montréal, and even the main downtown core (though that's a bit of a walk). Everyone was very friendly and I would definitely stay here again.
Note: Parking costs $20 a night so add that to the budget. We drove a Dodge Journey and juuuust made it fit in the garage.

This experience was not at all what I had expected. We had issues with parking, due to the hotel telling us thst there were no more parking for large cars. Instead of giving us an alternate parking space, we spent over an hour looking for parking. Even when we did manage to find a spot, it was quite far from the hotel, meaning we had to walk. That wouldn't have been a huge issue, if it wasn't — 9 degrees. With a bunch of kids, it was hard for them to walk, and not to forget, the amount of snow in our paths. The rooms were mediocre and the breakfast didn't speak much. It's sad because I had already been at this hotel before, and it was significantly better.

Parking in a nearby building, underground level 2 and 3 without lift. Although I read lots of reviews about unsafe parking space but I think considerable steps have been taken to improve the situation. It is also $20 for 24 hours which is one of the best rates in the area.

I traveled with my mon for 4days and the room we stayed was completely comfortable, quiet and clean. The breakfast has enough kind of food and drinks. I really like this hotel and if I come to Montreal again, will be staying this hotel again. Lastly, all the stuff is very nice and helpful for everyone. Thanks to them, we could have great days.

Me and my partner stayed here for 2 nights and our experience was very pleasant! Very friendly service! The hotel parking was full but the gentleman at the desk check in was kind enough to guide us to a nearby parking area! The first night, we had trouble getting our room key to work (due to old room key) but the hotel manager (who was also very pleasant) changed our rooms and gave us a bigger room which was really appreciated! Rooms are old but clean and also have a little kitchenette so it was very convenient to warm up our leftovers! Many different eateries and attractions nearby! Very good location as it is right in the middle of downtown! And not very noisy either even though we were at the ground floor! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be coming back!
