I truly loved my stay at Hotel Zero in Montreal. From the moment I arrived, the customer service was outstanding—very responsive, professional, and kind. A special thank-you to Yash, as well as the staff member working after 11 p. M. Who were incredibly helpful and attentive.
The room was spacious, spotless, and beautifully maintained, and the bed was extremely comfortable, making it easy to rest and relax after a long day. Everything felt clean, calm, and well cared for.
I stayed in three different hotels, and without hesitation, Hotel Zero was the best. It stands out in every way—from pricing, to cleanliness, to excellent customer service.
I would absolutely recommend Hotel Zero and would gladly stay there again.

We arrived at this hotel after having to leave another one due to how dirty it was, and it couldn’t have been a better choice. Everything was wonderful: the room was spotless, the bed was super comfortable, and the views were beautiful. It also had a sink, coffee maker, fridge, and microwave, which made the stay even more convenient. Definitely a 10/10 for them. We would come back without hesitation.

DO NOT pay for breakfeast, it was very underwhelming and they were running out of food after only an hour. It is not worth $23, it’s better to just go out to a small cafe and get much better food and coffee. Please save your money.
We had quite a few issues with our room, having to change rooms at 10:30 because our smoke detector going off and having to change again the next day. As well that our TV didn’t really work and their solution was to move us for a 4th time.
The location of this hotel is great about a 10 min walk to the Basilica, 10 mins to the christmas's market.
I think we just got unlucky with so many things going wrong, would stay here again if there hadn’t been so many issues. Tried to get a refund, or something to compensate for all the inconvinence and was given a free breakfeast that didn’t fill us up at all. Was unimpressed by the service of the staff.

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel in November for a few days. We were in the city for a concert.
First, the positives. The beds were clean and comfortable (they mistakenly put us in a room with two queens instead of one king, which is what we asked for). We had a great view of downtown, the shower pressure is great and there was a cute little coffee bar area with fridge and microwave.
Negatives — our room was not cleaned for nearly our entire stay, despite several requests to front desk to have this done. We were told repeatedly it would be done by end of day, and when we returned after sightseeing, it was still not done. We arrived on Saturday morning and left Tuesday morning, and it was done Monday around 4 pm. Otherwise not touched. Manager gave us coupons for the breakfast as an apology.
-Elevator smelled like vomit, then later smelled very strongly of disinfectant for the rest of our stay.
-Breakfast buffet was not fresh. The food was cold, and there was no juice offered.
So, overall it was an okay stay. We were not thrilled with the service, but we are experienced travellers and we managed. Great location and comfortable rooms, but just be mindful of the poor food options and service.

I stayed in a single room. It was clean and cozy. Bed was very comfortable. The location, downtown near rue St Catherine, was perfect for exploring on foot. I needed a homebase for exploration, and a comfortable bed to return to in the evening, and this was perfect.
Lots of great food nearby. Staff were very helpful. Would definitely stay again.

The hotel has a very central location, perfect for exploring the city. The rooms are modern, comfortable, and nicely designed, with clean facilities and great bedding. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and appreciated the stylish atmosphere. However, there are a few areas for improvement: cleaning is only provided if requested the day before, which can be inconvenient. I also wished they allowed a later checkout. The check-in process and elevator lines were quite long, and it would have been nice to have milk or creamer available for coffee. Despite these small issues, it’s a pleasant and convenient place to stay.

Reasonably priced. Great rooms for the cost. Very clean and a well presented Hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Great quiet location. China Town is fifty metres away and Old Montreal one block away. I felt very safe here as a solo traveller. Only disappointment was there are no USB ports to charge your devices. Remember to bring your device charger. Other than that I cannot fault the hotel.

The think the term boutique hotel is a stretch when describing this hotel. I recall walking into the lobby in 2021 and thinking wow I really want to stay here and I recently did and it was underwhelming. The rest was comfortable but I noticed how things were really well used. I feel with some fresh paint and some new furniture, this hotel would be quite lovely. The staff do need to be more attentive to the guests needs and not leaving the guest waiting close to 2hrs for something like fresh towels and in the end had to get them from the front desk. The tiles in the bathrooms (particularly the showers) might be a smart choice to re-tile that area.

Ok so the location is great. St. Laurent Metro station is a few minutes walk away and you're near a major hub where all the action's at. Unfortunately, beyond that, there isn't any more positive things to mention. My room was small, the toilet didn’t flush well, and sometimes the shower acted up with either scalding hot or freezing water. I expected a lot more from this place, since after I booked my room online the staff was very attentive to my questions via e-mail, but once I arrived there, that was when the service went downhill. When I first arrived, I was 2 hours early. I was tired and needed a room, but the guy at the front desk said there would be a $50 early check in fee. Really? I've stayed at many hotels and this was a first for me. Usually if a hotel has rooms ready they'll let you check in early. At no extra charge! I felt that they were just trying to take advantage of my situation. I also did not receive housekeeping service one day and when I asked for it they did not send anyone. I usually do not stay at hotels that have less than 4 star ratings and Hotel Zero 1 is the reason why. Maybe they need to change the name to Hotel Zero because that's the kinda service they deliver. There is no welcome vibe at this hotel. The folks at the front desk don't acknowledge you or smile. The front desk is either empty or the employees are just looking at their smart phones. The next time I come to Montreal I'll avoid this place. You should too.

This hotel is a great location to access Old Montreal and Chinatown. It is close to the Gare Centrale, as well. We found the room to be extremely comfortable and so quiet! The room was not huge, but it had all we needed, and was clean. The bed and pillows were super comfy! When you exit the hotel, and turn to your left, is not the best area, but we just avoided it. We found a grocery store and mall with a large food court, as well as some lovely eat in restaurants about a block and a half away. We walked to Centre Bell, which was about a 25 minute walk. Staff at the hotel were all very friendly. Overall, it was a decent place to stay!

Front staff was good, parking garage was convenient and cheap but it was just so insanely dirty. Even our cups were dirty. General house keeping was okay but the headboard had a yellow stain, curtains covered in stains.

Had the pleasure of staying here for the August Long Weekend and was delighted by my overall experience — room was clean, well appointed and had stunning views of the city.
Key card protected front entry after 1am so feels safe — location is phenomenal with everything a short walk away in either direction. Will be staying again!

The location was good, but slightly sketchy. Our room was small, and at first glance clean. But if you looked closer the bedframe was covered in stains. The curtains were marked up and stained. The duvet didn’t even have a cover it had two flat sheets on either side which didn’t do much. The walls and floorboards were filthy. The bathroom was good. One huge issue housekeeping knocked on our twice at 9:30 am. We were just getting up and they proceeded to open the door in which we had to scream so she would shut it. (The service please sign was NOT on the door). Price was too much for the quality. Most likely won’t be back.

Our room was clean with a very industrial feel but a cool layout. Not many towels and the ice machine was all the way on the bottom floor. We payed for valet service (35$+ tax) which relieved the stress from parking in such a busy area, but when checking out we were informed that it would take 30 minutes to receive our vehicle. In the end it took 45 minutes and people who had given their valet ticket after us had received their vehicle before us, so no organization to the set up, and the car was unlocked when we got to it which was concerning. Staff were to the point but not overly friendly. Lots to do in the area if you like the busy downtown feel.

I rarely complain, but this stay was disappointing and frustrating. We arrived early and were told to wait until 3pm, only to stand in a long check-in line and be given a room that was under construction. After waiting over 2.5 hours, we finally got a new room floors still wet from cleaning, and not very clean overall.
Later that evening, the AC didn’t work, and we had to sleep in a hot room with just a fan that was 25 degrees. We were moved the next day, and the upgrade was appreciated, but moving rooms again was a hassle. Staff, especially Shirley, tried to help, but the experience fell far short of expectations.
Room 113 bed was very comfy! Room 601, definitely needs a new mattress.
Great location and decent price, but definitely not a 3-star experience. I’d rate it 2/5 overall.

What’s happened to this hotel? Once a great place to stay, our most recent visit was disappointing. Our room was dirty. Empty cans of beer under the bed, stained curtains, coffee grinds on the baseboards, stained sheets. Appreciated the free parking to compensate, but then waited 30 minutes for valet to return our car only to find out it was already out front without anyone letting us know. Free breakfast was decent, as is the location.

I arrived late. The room wasn’t clean, the shower didn’t work properly so and did not get cool, very hot which in the summer is most unpleasant. I asked for house keeping twice neither time did anyone come. The bulbs everywhere are unnecessarily bright. The mattress protector was too big for the bed so it slipped around. The list is long of things that could make this very, very, mediocre hotel better. The staff are not particularly friendly. The terrace was locked each time I wanted to go. The elevator was out of order, without a sign letting guests know there was another elevator to use. The view from my room was over a little park that was very rough. The only thing going for it is it’s near to the jazz festival and that’s it, and because that’s why I was there I just went there to sleep. But even then couldn’t have a cool shower because it was broken. And for some reason there are only men working the front desk too? AND I paid $340 a night!
Very, very disappointing to say the least. A real rip off for the money quite honestly… It’s atmosphereless, and needs a massive shift, let’s start with actually keeping it clean! I wish I had left and asked for my money back. I would definitely not recommend!
