Its not the fanciest or most comfortable hotel in the world, but for the price and the area its in it is a good deal. I found it to be very clean, the room was large, and checking in and out was easy. If your looking for a hotel with lots of amenities and modern this isnt the place for you. But if all you care about is having a clean room to sleep in for a cheap price while being close to all the attractions this is the place for you.

Do not fall for pictures and description posted by hotel. It’s a scam. You will be stranded and left with no choice but to spend night at this mediocre hotel with pathetic service or going to other hotel and pay much more $$.
I made reservation a few weeks ago in summer through booking. Com and they allocated me rooms without AC and on top it had smoking smell. Upon check in when I called front desk about AC she didn’t even know that the rooms had no AC instead she asked me to look for remote and even gave me one from the reception for the AC that didn’t even exist. She came to my rooms and realized that the rooms do not have AC and it smelled horribly like someone had been regularly smoking. She told me that she is just an employee and she will speak with owner, at first she said that owner is not answering her call and after a few hours I was told that nothing can be done. I was stranded with my wife and kids hence I decided to leave the hotel and ended up booking another hotel and paid way more $$.

The staff were nice and helpful. This is pretty much hostel level accommodations. Very basic necessities and basic beds. It's ok if you just need a cheap place to crash but would not recommend for a longer stay. It was clean and the location is good. Definitely a busy part of the city, so people are living it up outside until late at night!

Fantastic value, we got a room with a private bathroom and it was much cheaper than any other hotel nearby. Early check-in was available for free, which was great too.
The front door is locked, with a doorbell to get buzzed in (and reception is staffed 24/7). Other reviews mention the front door being unlocked so that's something they've fixed.
The room had two bathrooms, one with a toilet and one with a shower and sink. The toilet bathroom had no ventilation, so after taking a dump we had to open all the windows and crank up the heat to air the room out. Weird design choice but it was doable.
There are a lot of noisy people that hang out on the street at night and there's a club nearby too. The windows don't block out the sound from the street very well — I didn't have any issues sleeping but if you're a light sleeper you'll want earplugs.
The amenities in the room were basic — shampoo, shower soap, and towels were provided but there wasn't a hair drier, coffee machine, etc like you'd get in a fancier hotel. Heat worked great and there was an AC unit which we didn't try.
The towels and sheets were lintier than at other hotels. They didn't seem unclean but their drier vent clearly isn't being cleaned out regularly.
Breakfast is provided 7:30-11.
All rooms are up at least one flight of stairs, there is no elevator as far as I'm aware.

FYI — for any travellers do not book room C103 — our bags were STOLEN out of our room. The staff were very kind and caring, but unfortunately there is not much they can do. The window in this room opens to a smoking deck — but the window is easily broken and we fell victim to this. Over 700$ worth of things were stolen. It was also very frightening to find out that anyone can access the smoking area, where there are doors that lead to the inside of the hotel where rooms we. No cameras in this hallway as well. Overall not a safe hotel — and would not recommend.

The building is quite old, and there was no elevator, so we had to carry our luggage up four flights of stairs to reach our room. There was no parking on-site, so we had to park a four-minute walk away and pay $19 for the night. The room didn’t have a fridge, so we had to throw away our leftover food. The breakfast was included, but it wasn’t good.
Overall, it wasn’t a good experience.

The location is great, but the hotel is AWFUL. The windows do not close, it is not clean, and the breakfast is not sanitary. I have stayed in backpacker inns and am not someone who does not appreciate good, but modest accommodations. This place, at CAD 182/night, was perhaps the worst hotel stay I have had in the last 20 years.

This hotel has a shared bathrooms, having to pay so much more for a private bathroom. The service was very poor. Impolite and uncaring about customers. Pictures not the same as the actual rooms. There is no fridge, stove or hair dryer which was shown in pictures posted. Recommend other hotels, this one is a hotel you do not want to come in.

Hotel Review:
I recently stayed at this hotel and had a mixed experience.
1. Helpful Receptionist: One thing I really appreciated during my stay was the assistance from the receptionist, Manal. She was exceptionally helpful, offering detailed information not only about the hotel but also about local city attractions and transportation options. Her guidance made exploring the area much easier and more enjoyable.
2. Noise Levels: Unfortunately, the hotel is quite noisy due to nearby concerts, especially in the evenings. While this might appeal to those who enjoy late-night activities in the downtown area, it can be disruptive for guests seeking a quieter environment.
3. Old Building and High Prices: The hotel is housed in an old building, which comes with a certain charm but also with its downsides. Given the age of the property, the amenities felt a bit outdated. Additionally, the price seemed high considering the condition of the building.
Overall, while there are some positives, the noise and the cost in relation to the hotel’s condition are important factors to consider before booking.

The room was disgusting, with noticeable dirt and grime everywhere. To make matters worse, there was no private washroom. This was completely unacceptable. The shared facilities were poorly maintained and unsanitary. The overall lack of cleanliness and basic amenities made my stay extremely uncomfortable. I strongly advise against staying at this hotel. Receptionist was totally unprofessional.

I got their Superior Queen room with a private bathroom (I shared the room with one of my friends). The room looked a bit different from the photos if I’m being honest, but we let that go.
Here were my issues with the room: Bathroom towels had hair in it; they only provide two flimsy pillows for the bed even though the images showed more pillows (when I asked for extra pillows the woman at the front desk said she couldn’t find any extra ones to give me). Also the main door to get into the hotel is unlocked so anyone from outside can basically walk into the building and sometimes when the front staff step away from their desk late at night, they leave the second door to the lobby slightly ajar which again is very unsafe. The bedsheets were very itchy and rough; the bed itself was very hard; the shower was also very grimy. Oh and the remote control for the TV didn’t work (I think the batteries were dead) so we couldn’t use the tv.
The location was the best part about this experience as well as the nice variety of lighting options within the room and the AC. The building itself is also really nice in my opinion (it’s an older building with a vintage feel to it but I’m into that sort of thing). The staff were also really sweet. My friend and I arrived very early to Montreal, and even though our room wasn’t ready yet, the woman at the front desk let us keep our bags in their closet so we didn’t have to carry them around while we explored the city.

Fairly clean, we got 2 queen beds with private bathroom, it was smaller but comfortable and the AC worked well. We've never stayed in a city like this before so we didn't really know what to expect. There are only stairs, and lots of them. So not very accessible. But the staff were very friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast was a little lackluster, for us it was just toast or cereal. Also, the pictures of the outside look nothing like it looks in real life and their "private parking" was a rather long walk and closed by the time we got there. Overall id stay again, just requires a bit extra planning.
