Gite LImprévu

Rita and Dan were fabulous hosts. They made us feel welcome from the start. Our first morning, Rita brought us our breakfast on their lovely deck surrounded by plants and flowers. I was in disbelief of what great food she prepared. Seriously, I got way more than I thought I could eat but ate it anyway. There was only one other guest that we ate together with while we were there who was traveling for business and had some lovely chats. Rita gave us her suggestion for Montréal bagels and you know answered a few questions we had, but on top of it was very nice and charming to speak with. The rooms were cozy. Ours had a sink in the room and the bathroom was right outside our door. I couldn't hear anyone, the guests were very respectful and quiet. Next winter trip to Montréal I'll definitely book a room again, Rita said she'd help me to get over my ice skating fears :)

Was in town to visit a very sick loved one at the Royal Victoria Hospital. Rita and Dan were terrific hosts that made my situation not seem as gloomy. Very, very clean. The breakfast were outstanding to get you started on your day the right way.

Rita and Dan are very down to earth caring and attentive hosts. The rooms and shared bathroom were kept very clean and Rita and Dan always wanted to make sure you had everything you needed. Breakfast was fantastic every day and eating breakfast and interacting with other guests was a very enjoyable part of the experience. I felt very safe and comfortable all the time and location was excellent. Parking on the street is free out front and we left our car there for the days we stayed and just paid for a 3 day metro pass to get us to everywhere we needed. In addition to breakfast, Rita always made sure we had what we needed and were comfortable. You won't get the care and kindness like this at your standard hotels or air bnbs so we highly recommend.

I came here as a solo female traveller, attending a conference in Montreal. I could not have asked for a warmer welcome (or bigger/ better breakfasts! ) than Rita provided. She was so helpful, and I felt very safe here. I felt very much like a guest in her own home. The bed was comfortable, and room had everything I needed (washbasin, towels, safe, plenty of plug sockets! ) and also a TV (which I didn't use). There is only one bathroom at the property. This might be a problem for some people, but wasn't for me. Breakfast was outstanding. It was a 45 min walk to the city centre, or just six stops on the nearby Metro. There are some lovely restaurants nearby too that I ate at in the evenings. This place was great value for money compared to the central hotels.

Walking distance sight seeing and best restaurants available. Host is very friendly. Room is cozy and clean. Would have given 5 star if the bathroom wasn’t a shared one.

The hosts, Rita and Dan, made the stay so enjoyable as did the other guests. They are so hospitable, the breakfasts were terrific and the location is stellar. Close to the metro and only a short walk from Crescent street to enjoy a few drinks/food.

Loved my stay here. Room was clean, hosts were helpful and welcoming. The breakfasts were fantastic — we advised in advance that we are vegan and Rita prepared 2 wonderful breakfasts for us. Great location and value.

Loved our two night stay here. Super close to Theatre Corona. Breakfast was WOW! Outdoor space with plants was amazing. Accommodated us by making really creative and lovely vegan breakfast.

Rita and Dan are great hosts. It is a pleasure to talk to them and they do their best to help the visitors to enjoy their stays. I was in Montreal for a conference and had a great time at L'imprevu.
Breakfasts are just great! Rooms are very nice and clean and so is the shared bathroom. The have a wonderful garden with an incredible amount of different plants.

I visited recently this unique place. I have travelled to many places, but this B&B has its own personality in addition to great service. The host was attentive and cooked excellent breakfast every morning. The location was close to metro or one could get a solid to walk to the old town if desired. The place is clean and charming. The only downside for me was the noise. As it is an old building and my room was facing the street, I had a hard time sleeping due to street noise or plumbing next door.
