Delta Hotels by Marriott Montreal

Very nice hotel. Friendly staff, nice environment, excellent service; from housekeeping, to the food, to front desk. I will definitely be staying there again. The staff have been more than accommodating.
It has a pool, spa and fitness centre, a full service restaurant, a bar/lounge, business centre, club lounge, and more. Right in the downtown area where the stores are lined on the streets. Also nice views of the city and river.

I stayed for a week at Delta Montreal and had a very good experience. Marie-Josée (MJ) and her team keep things running smoothly — they were attentive and efficient throughout my stay, and their warm hospitality really stood out.
The rooms are slightly dated, but they are large, clean, and very comfortable. The beds and bedding were very clean and made for a restful sleep. I also appreciated the large balcony with good views of the city, which made the room feel even more spacious and enjoyable.
Marriott Platinum and above members get free breakfast: weekdays in the lounge and weekends in the restaurant. A nice touch was seeing Fairmont Bagels offered at breakfast in both spots.
The hotel is dog-friendly, and our pet was welcomed with a toy and treat in the room. There’s also a convenient mulch area at the Sherbrooke Street exit for dogs. That back entrance (accessible with your room key on level P) opens directly onto Sherbrooke Street, right next to McGill’s Campus 1 and La Citadelle residences, which is handy if you’re visiting students.
The Brasserie Milton restaurant was excellent. We tried the lamb rack, filet mignon, seafood linguine, tiramisu, chocolate mousse, and tarte tatin — all were very good.
Overall, this hotel offers solid service, good food, and thoughtful amenities. MJ and her team more than make up for the slightly dated rooms with their hospitality. I’d recommend it for anyone visiting Montreal, especially families or those with pets.

Stayed multiple times at Delta Hotels Montreal. The location is excellent — close to downtown attractions and easy to get around. Rooms have always been clean and comfortable, and the staff consistently friendly and helpful. The hotel offers good amenities like fitness facilities and dining options, making it convenient for both business and leisure stays. Marriott Bonvoy Platinum and above elite members also enjoy access to the Club Lounge, which adds extra value with complimentary breakfast, snacks, and beverages. Overall, a reliable choice in Montreal that I’d recommend.

Location.
The hotel is located in downtown Montréal, which can be a great option depending on what you’re looking for. In our case, we were in the city for a hockey tournament and did not have the option to choose our hotel. Unfortunately, this meant commuting 35–40 minutes each way between the rink and the hotel. One snowy morning, the city’s snow removal was poor and the trip took 1 hour and 15 minutes.
For us, the location was not ideal. However, it may be good for business travelers or visitors interested in attractions, restaurants, and easy access to public transportation.
Parking.
You have to pay for it. And if you own a Toyota Grand Highlander or a similar-sized vehicle, be cautious about using the hotel’s underground parking. I would strongly avoid going below the second floor. The low clearance poses a risk to antennas and roof components. Use extreme caution.
Dining.
Breakfast was not included in our package, so we paid separately. Also, be prepared for long wait times for lunch/diner —our order took close to two hours. The food was good, but the pricing felt high for what was offered.
Rooms and Property.
The hotel is not the newest, but the rooms are generally clean and reasonably spacious. AC was to loud. The overall condition is acceptable, though not particularly modern.
Service.
Service quality seems to vary depending on the time and staffing levels. In our experience, we were fortunate to have mostly polite and professional interactions.
Overall.

Rooms very dated. Our room wasn’t ready even though it was about 4.30 when we arrived but they gave us 2 nights free parking as compensation so was happy with that. They need to have some spare bedding available as I asked for another duvet and they couldn’t provide it initially as they only had one per room and none spare. The towels and bed have seen better days. It is also quite far away from the Old Port. About a 30 minute walk. The bar at the hotel was nice and the swimming pool was really good too. I think overall it’s a 3 rather than a four star hotel.

Excellent hotel. The room was huge. I had one with 2 double beds. Balcony was very nice to have. Restaurants were very nice. Room has most of what you need. Mine had 2 mini-fridges. Had an in room safe, iron, etc. I couldn’t get the coffee maker to work. No shaving mirror in the bathroom and no soft close toilet seats were the only things I would have liked.

Great location right by McGill University which worked well for us when visiting our daughter while she was a student there. The Delta Montreal was always our go-to, with clean & comfortable rooms, a great restaurant and friendly staff who made us feel welcome during our stay, often going the extra mile to make sure we felt at home. Would like to make mention particularly of Ms. Pepin the Guest Service Supervisor who always recognized us and ensured she added extra touches to make our stays even more special. I can’t say enough about the staff there, they are amazing and the service was always excellent. Thank you Delta Montreal team!

Stayed with family with young kids. LOVED the service and location. While the rooms can come across as a bit dated, they are are slightly bigger than average which really helps. The staff is super nice. Their guest services supervisor — Ms Marie-Josee Pepin — went above and beyond to relate to our kids and to ensure we had a great time. Kids would look forward to seeing her every morning and evening. They even have a small kids' room with toys for kids to have fun. The location is amazing — downtown, 20-25 mins walk to most touristy things. All in all, we had a fantastic Christmas holiday, which was made possible by an amazing experience at this hotel.

We visit Montreal annually and this was our first stay at the Delta Montreal.
The location is great however the hotel itself is very tired. Most disappointing was the Club/Concierge level we upgraded to. Our room was on the 23rd floor and was rather disappointing. Terrible coffee maker in the room, the bed was extremely squeaky, half the channels on the TV were not available. The elevators were very busy. The club level provided us access to a continental breakfast in the lounge which they provided vouchers for breakfast in the restaurant in lieu. The breakfast was terrible. We went once during our three night stay. The club lounge amenities included complimentary sodas, water and access to a coffee machine which we had to use seeing as the machine in our room was so terrible. The hotel stay would have been acceptable if we hadn’t splurged on club level access. The value for money was deplorable for this upgrade.

Our stay here was perfect! First great welcome from Anique at front desk who explained everything perfectly and clearly. The hotel is very comfortable and clean. Staff friendly and attentive. Restaurant very good. Hugo was very helpful at breakfast and Martin too. We would make this our choice in Montreal.

This is a long time popular downtown hotel. I used to always stay here when I used to do business in Montreal. Decided to stay here during this brief business trip. Location is great…easy to get to everything downtown. It also has one of the easiest to access underground parking garages in Montreal. Room still very nice…spacious and clean. Every room has an accessible balcony and some have great city and mountain view. My check-in person was very friendly and helpful. There is a great bar and a dining room on the mezzanine floor. The food is excellent both in taste and presentation. The staff in both were very friendly, efficient and helpful. Still a very pleasant big city hotel experience. I recommend, although I do wish the room had a coffee maker.

Key points:
Excellent water pressure/heat in the shower, and had a detachable shower head/hose, which is always useful.
Air conditioning is also powerful and can get the room down to 15C! (Made a mistake and set it low and forgot to set it back up)
Balconies are kind of a novelty, and the one I had was a decent size, giving me a nice view of the city.
The restaurants were clean, and the breakfast buffet was reasonable. They would let you customize your eggs if you didn't want the pan of scrambled, which was nice.
Hotel staff were all polite and helpful. Cleaning staff were thorough and polite.
All in all, I was very pleased with my stay (1 week).

Warmly welcomed by Dihia during check in. A very friendly and helpful face after a long journey to Montreal. So we deeply appreciated that. Everything else was good. Hot tub was a good bonus for a dip.
I left a sweater behind and there seems to be no proper process behind logged items because one would think you could get it back on the day itself but no. You have to call back the next day after item is being logged into the system as lost and found. Could have been better and faster with this process. Sweater was found so all good eventually! Thanks to all the staff involved!
Highly recommend the hotel overall!

It's in the middle of downtown n staff is very cooperative n very near to old Montreal. Service is remarkable.

Great service and wonderful staff.

I loved my stay 😆also can silk til the service at the reception is incomparable.

Great hotel in the heart of Montreal. Upgraded to larger corner rooms, amazing staffs. Upon checking in, front desk was very nice, and called the manager on duty to get introduced, she thanked us for choosing the Delta Montreal. Will definitely be back. Highly recommended.
