We just completed a 7-night stay at the David Hotel. It was our first visit to Montreal and we were very happy we chose this property. First, it's in a great location within a short walk to many of the main attractions and the subway, which is a really efficient way to get around the city. The room was clean, generally quiet (though not soundproof) with everything you need for a great stay. There's even a full-size washer and dryer, plus the kitchen is well equipped. The bed was comfortable and we loved the ambient lighting and exposed brick walls. The place has a cool, minimalist vibe. Yes, as others have commented, having the sink in the middle of the room is a little odd and the shower is not private at all (we've been married 26 years, so that's not a problem). We really appreciated the kitchen because we like to eat breakfast in. Also, since we stayed 7 nights, they cleaned our room once, which was nice. The free Wi-Fi works great and check in/out is a breeze with keyless entry. We thought it was a great value for our money and would definitely stay there again.
