Lovely Victorian house close to the village of Magog. Wonderful breakfasts.

The best breakfast we had on our road trip through Quebec, a large room with a deck, a warm pool (open on Sep 30) and the owners go above and beyond to make sure, you have a lovely stay. We will be back for sure!

Very comfortable room, very quiet, nice pool out back. Breakfast was plentiful but lacked pizzazz. Great location in center of Magog but on a quiet side street.
Good value overall.

Room was only adequate, very few channels available on their televsion set and quite old shower set in bathroom. Comforters looked old and had some ripping/damage. Food was adequate, though definitely not anything exceptional. The innkeeper struck me as having an odd character, making several uncomfortable, inappropriate comments and some that were downright discriminative and offensive. Making discriminative and offensive comments based on gender or identity is completely inappropriate in any setting, as is disparaging the role and questioning the place of women in the workplace because of their gender, and other sexist innuendos and left me with a sense of a highly unpleasant stay. I don't recommend this place nor will I return.

We arrived around 17:30, the check in was simple and friendly. They took the time. To explain to us how to use the different amenities at our disposal, gave as a quick where to in terms of restaurant and possible entertainment and left us with our room. The decor was perfect, the jet bathtub divine and the beding beyond comfy. The B&b is located within walking distance of Magog main commercial street so we walked to our restaurant. We both slept like babies as the place is really calm. The breakfast was delicious, with homemade products and localy sourced otherwise. I can only recommend O bois dormant. It was a perfect house for our little romantic getaway! A big thanks to Maryam and Jacques for the welcoming B&b.

Perfect little B&B! Just stayed there this weekend! Close to restaurants and cute little shops. The room was perfect. Will definitely be returning!

This establishment definitely lives up to its rave reviews…. Our room was immaculate and artfully furnished with many pieces crafted by Patrick. The paintings were colorful and uniquely interesting…. And the breakfasts were amazing…. Creative and delicious! We stayed for three nights and hated to leave…we look forward to our next visit to the Magog area and will stay here for sure…Maryam and Patrick were perfect hosts.

We stayed here recently a few days (May 2023) — and shortly after, in the B&B across the road. The difference between these 2 is stark and striking — like Night and Day! Past good reviews seem mostly from several months or years ago; something seems to have radically changed since then, that contributed to our experience.
We arrived around 1-2 pm, our suitcase dropped off earlier. On opening the door, the owner showed not a ghost of a smile of welcome; more like "who are you? " and seeming displeasure why we had arrived that early. Knowing it was early for check-in, we asked if we could just keep the suitcase in our room and sit downstairs in the living room; my young son, I mentioned, had a headache after his 3-hour exam. No attempt to be accomodating: No, was the reply, we could sit outside on the front porch! and leave our baggage out there too (which I didn’t feel comfortable doing). It was 4 C — cold, windy, chilly and slightly snowing! I asked if the room hadn't been cleaned yet. No, was the reply, everyone wants to check-in early!
I asked about restaurant recommendations for lunch: Oh, there are plenty of restaurants, just walk down that road, was the offhanded, disinterested reply (he gave us a map and briefly pointed out the roads). We could not go back to the house before 4 pm so we kept walking around in the cold (had no car as my husband had dropped us off). My son could not sit to study for his exam the following day either, so much time was wasted.

Awesome little BnB! 5 minute walk to the restaurant we went to. Very cute old house, friendly staff, nice room/amenities, and outstanding breakfast! We were extremely comfortable and overall very pleased with O Bois Dormant, especially for the price! Excellent stay.

Spacious room, very clean, and with nice thematic decorations. If you have the chance be sure to get the superior queen room with the jetted bathtub for 2! The breakfast was also delicious and comprised of 4 different courses. Finally the host was super friendly and helpful! Overall great value for the money!
