A charming little hotel situated on top of a microbrewery.
The layout is somewhat labyrinthine but the room was pretty nice. The King bed was comfortable, but I found the TV and bathroom both on the small side but you do what you can with the space provided.
I had some questions about check-in prior to my arrival and they were responsive and very helpful. I would absolutely stay here again as Magog in the autumn is beautiful.

We enjoyed our stay. The room had a kitchen but could use more cooking instruments. The living room didn't have a light so you couldn't use it at night, and the sofa has one broken leg so one corner of it dips down to the floor. If they would replace the sofa and get a light, the living room could be great. It's more of an apartment than a hotel room. The view of the river is great. However, the music blasted late into the night. I took a sleeping pill every night in order to go to sleep. The music was incredibly annoying. The weird thing was that they could place the speakers and turn it down a little so that the upstairs isn't infiltrated with the base. It's the base that was the problem, not necessarily the music. Turn down the base!
Also, I paid in advance and in full. However, several days after arriving, I was randomly charged $79. I never received an email explaining what the charge was for. So I had to sit down with the manager and he finally discovered that this is a "deposit. " Why in the world would you charge a deposit on a room, after they've arrived, and after they've already paid in full. It was returned to us, but still an aggravation. I don't think I would stay here again because of the music all night and the lack of service available for the people staying there. Oh, and there was no soap. But if they would fix the music problem, it could be great. It was wonderful to be able to go downstairs and eat, and the location was perfect.

The rooms are small but nice and clean, but they give you a hairdryer with the European electric cord (seriously? ). The location is great, however the service leaves much to be desired: there is no reception per say, you have to deal with employees at the restaurant. The rooms locks work one time out of two, they charged me an extra 100$ which was subsequently cancelled but I emailed them twice about it and they never replied. Also they sell you a promo Couette et Pizza which included a pizza meal at the restaurant downstairs but no one at the restaurant ever heard about it… we had to insist that they call a manager to finally get our free meal. Service is so bad that I don't think I'd ever return there. This is not the way to run a service business for sure! Too bad, because it has potential but it clearly needs a new owner or manager…
