I truly recommend this hotel, the owner is a wonderful person with a great heart who goes out of his way to help his clients. He helped me and my family a lot. God bless him and his family.

The greeting of guests was "cold and snobby". Rooms are cute, but portable air conditioner overrides any conversation in the room. Very few power outlets and the included breakfast was disappointing. And being prompted to pay right after breakfast and hurry out because they will be in a rush was not acceptable. Same for the BIG PRINTS at the bottom of the menu saying that "gratuities are not included in the prices" and also being reminded of that on a regular basis was out of line. Overall, I don't recommend this establishment, as the prices are highly overrated for what you get!

We booked 6 months in advance and confirmed 10 days before our arrival for 7 people. We asked for 2 glued rooms, 1 large room and 1 small. When we arrived, the small reserved room was no longer available and seeing our dissatisfaction, the waiter changed his attitude and became foolish towards us. Arriving in the replacement room, the smell of mold and mildew was horrible and the room was not glued to the other room. Arriving in the large room, it was very hot, as the air conditioning had not been activated in advance. There was dust accumulated on some furniture and one of the 2 headboards was not attached to the base of the bed. After a night of heavy rain, we found that the ceiling of the Grand Chamber flowed, which almost damaged our camera. The next day we expressed our dissatisfaction and disappointment to the owner and we informed him of the problems of the 2 rooms. We asked him to get compensation and the owner's response was very disappointing (10% discount on the entire invoice). After a strong negotiation, we got a higher compensation, but the owner maintained an attitude of ' ' Je-m'en-foutisme ' ' with respect to the problems we raised about the rooms by saying that the hostel is old and that it is normal. Mold is first and foremost a problem of sanitation and lack of maintenance, which has nothing to do with the age of the House.

This is the best refined food restaurant in Gaspe.

The staff was very friendly. The same person makes the reception and serves at the tables. After booking and confirmation the old one, our room was not available, a whole story to have a room. Lack of professionalism in the attitude of the staff and the owner. I do not advise at all.

Lovely inn on the sea! Beautiful views, easy access to the downtown, easy walking distance and delicious food! The most amazing breakfast included as well!

Great little Inn.
Built in a he 1800's. Real and Didier took great care of me. The restaurant is first class. A must try.

I do not suggest you make a reservation at the Auberge Wakeham. I booked with the owner Mr. Desmond 3 months ago, I even called a couple of times to be sure, and when I arrived after driving hundreds of kilometers. I do not have my reservation. Very unprofessional, I will not even give a star.

Excellent food, do say share server that you gave him enough to tip… 9% in total its has no words…

This May we had the pleasure of welcoming family from away in order to attending my daughter's baptism. Once again Maison William Wakeham, with Desmond and his staff, was at the top of the "places to stay while you're here" list. Mr Ogden was gracious in accepting the reservation, flexible in it's relative last minute date changes and personally ensured that my family were met upon arrival. We had the pleasure of sharing breakfast with my family, again a relatively last minute change which was accommodated with a smile and a "Not a problem, sir. " The food and service were both, as on our previous honeymoon stay, top-notch. This Inn remains my first choice for out of town guests, and my own "stay-cations"
