Terrible service. Terrible rooms. Hallway stinks so bad. It smells like wet rag.

I regret having to leave a review such as this however despite a promise from the owner to refund our payment, we never saw any $.
The rooms are basic, unfinished, dirty-dusty-smell unclean. They are not at all like the photos on the website.
We arrived and after navigating to the restaurant (which is the hotel check-in), was provided with my room number and with a card with a code to unlock the keypad — no other instructions were provided.
From the check in point a cook was cooking food (separate kitchen area) and another working cleaning dishes and serving food from the kitchen (no hand hygiene). I can’t even describe the view but I would caution eating there.
Found my room at the far back of the inn (near the dumpster) and was not sure that it was my room given its exterior appearance. Sadly it was.
We ended up checking out within the hour as it was not an acceptable lodging; as I mentioned it had a lot of building supplies inside and outside of the room, the place itself was not very clean or welcoming. I did not feel safe knowing the codes were the same, that the firearm was not in working order, etc.
The owner denied being aware of the issues that we both were dealing with, blamed the employees and didn’t not provide the refund for the night as promised — even though we didn’t remain there because of the conditions.
Don’t stay here! It needs a building inspection, public health inspection and a new ownership.

Friendly service, great place to stay & the food is great lots of choices of food. Personally I love Chinese food. 😋

Short drive to grocery store, LCBO, and a cute park with lots of pretty flower gardens to walk my small dog. Owner was friendly and responsive. Was able to get some laundry cleaned for a reasonable price. The suite had two bedrooms on the top floor with a bathroom and the kitchen was on the main floor. It felt like an apartment. It was okay. They need to work on cleanliness — the carpets and floors were not very clean.

Not bad but room for improvement. Lots of space included. Staff are super friendly and eager to please.
But it's in need of some refreshing (rusty items, peeling paint, broken things, etc). Cleaning could also be improved a bit. Some hairs in the beds and on the towels. Cups in the cupboards appeared unclean.
Seems like the owner may be new and is slowly working on the place?
Overall I would return if I had to stay in Chapleau but I might test out another place to compare.

The staff were ready, willing and did EVERYTHING they could have to make your stay a memorable experience. I was on my way to Timmins. My journey started November 10. From Toronto to Saskatoon. Now I'm going back to Toronto. I'm so impressed with the whole process. I will definitely stay here again. I will bring my mom for sure. Im anxious to get breakfast in the morning. That will be another review. God Bless Everyone!

Great little spot. We lost our reservation at another hotel and found this little gem. Yes, it’s an older place but clean and tidy. I cannot say enough good things about the owner and staff who went out of their way for two tired travellers who put over 1300 km on the road only to find we had no place to stay. We ordered dinner which they delivered right to our door, piping hot and home made!

We recently had an issue with the plumbing in our home and we stayed at the Chapleau Executive Suites for about a week. I was very pleasantly surprised. During our stay, we stayed in two different suites. One had a complete kitchen with a stove, microwave, slow cooker, coffee maker etc. (Perfect for long stays), the other had a microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker and induction hot plate which is perfect for shorter stays.
The suites consist of two bedrooms and a full bathroom upstairs and living room/kitchen area downstairs. We found the suites to be very clean, quiet and comfortable.
Although, Boulos (the manager) is not always on-site, he is very pleasant and accommodating. He makes sure that his guests have everything they need during their stay.
In addition, his staff checked in with us to make sure that everything was satisfactory and if there was anything we needed.
I would not hesitate recommending the Chapleau Executive Suites to anyone looking for a place to stay in Chapleau 🙂.

We travelled late and the owner went above and beyond to help us; very friendly and accomodating. The suite was large, clean, and comfortable. Has many amenities for an extended stay. The rooms were clean, comfortable and inviting. Bathroom was clean with good water pressure. Overall, the stay (though short) was excellent, I would recommend to any travellers!

The owner was extremely friendly and accommodating. Our room was clean and very comfortable. We didn't even realize that the rooms were suites with a separate downstairs (with the kitchen and living area) and upstairs (2 bedrooms and a bathroom) which was a pleasant surprise for us. Overall a very nice place to spend the night!

Very clean, great water pressure and impecible customer service. Each unit is a kitchen/living area on main floor. Bath and 2 bedrooms upstairs. Note that the stairs make this inaccessible for those with mobility concerns.
The pics online are very accurate. Mattresses looked uncomfortable but turned out to be amazing! I had such great sleep!
During my stay, the hotel was under co destruction and some amenities were unavailable, including the convenience store, vending machine, restaurant; however, based on progress it should be up and running soon.
To be clear, nothing in Chapleau is a 5 star resort; however, given the surroundings, this was a perfect set up and I recommend it.
