Beautiful place to stay when visiting Nova Scotia! The owners are so lovely & the views from the motel are breathtaking. The Deluxe rooms with a balcony are spacious & very clean. We will be back!

The rooms appear to be freshly reno'd, very clean, has bar fridge and microwave, comfortable bed, spectacular views, so peaceful.

Not the fanciest place we have stayed, but but the view was great, the owners were great. The room had amazing views, it is family owned and operated and they go above and beyond to make your stay a wonderful experience. Highly recommend.

We stayed one night at Clifty Cove and loved it! It is the most comfortable place I’ve stayed in a long time. The room was clean, simple, and the updates are very nice. Love the painted outside and flowers! The water is right outside the rooms and the view and sound is beautiful. If you are looking to stay in the Peggys Cove area this is where you want to stay.

Very clean! Very comfy beds, very quite, new renovations! Very very relaxing, and never been bothered, a kick ass view from my window, The people were very pleasant! Best sleep I had in a very long time! If your in Peggy’s cove people! This is the place to be for a night or two! To the owner well played! This little place hidden away should be a little 5 star hotel! Everything I wanted for a night! Oh and open your window and hear the ocean waves and wildlife! Just amazing little place! Like the terminator said! I’ll BE BACK!

The room was very clean and well setup. The balcony off the room was glass enclosed which ensures you will enjoy the wonderful ocean view even on windy days.

There was a very smelly ashtray on the table outside the door full of butts when we arrived, which I had to move to another table. The room smelled of cigarette smoke and needed to be aired out. The thermostat only had two settings: off and roasting. Kept turning it down and the heater never stopped putting our heat until it was turned off. The shower was almost as bad. I could only get scalding or tepid water. We slept so badly and gave up at 5 am. Then we had to drive 20 minutes just to find a Tim Hortons for breakfast! Nothing opens before 8:30 am in the area. Spend the extra money and stay at a B&B that serves breakfast.

The heat was either off or on, nothing in between. Likewise with the hot water in the shower. Beds weren't very comfortable either. After a restless night, we checked out early to find that there is no place open for breakfast within a 20 minute drive. My first bad motel after a week in the province, give this place a miss and pay more for one of the B&Bs in the area.

Beautiful, well sized rooms with wonderful views. Next time I'm passing through the area I'll be staying there for more than one night.

We had a wonderful stay here in October 2017. The folks at the desk are super friendly. We got upgraded to a better room for free because there were not many people staying here. The room was awesome and had a fantastic view of the ocean. Room was clean and updated. Would highly recommend this place if you're looking to stay in the area.

Modern decor, sitting right on a cove. You cannot beat the view and hospitality of this motel. Just a five min drive to Peggys Cove lighthouse allows you to beat the tour buses for a great experience. Will definitely recommend to anyone wanting to slow down and enjoy everything this area has to offer.

Fantastic place to stay! Clean room, comfortable beds and not to mention a wonderful view. The ocean breeze at night was perfect to sleep.

We loved the Clifty Cove Motel so much that we decided to stop on our way back from Newfoundland just to be able to spend the night in our new favorite motel! Rooms with a view cannot even begin to describe this little place!

Great spot for a quick stay! Very accommodating and helpful with our stay and was very pleasant to deal with. Basic place, but clean rooms, comfy bed and nice shower!

Very pleasant woman runs this place. She told us we would not be disappointed and that the rooms were nicely remodeled. She was 100 % correct. We would have stayed a few nights if our schedule allowed. Bring your own snacks and supplies as there is not much nearby. We would love to return again for some peace and quiet.

If I could give Clifty Cove more than 5 stars, I would. Dont be deterred by the outside. The rooms are modern and clean with a mini fridge and microwave. The rooms with balcony are beautiful… a view to die for. Ocean and whales at your backdoor. Most of all, the owners truly care about their guests and property. Beyond friendly and go out of their way to make your stay a dream. Service excellence that goes well above expectations.

This place was amazing! We were in room 11. It was very clean and bright (They also provided a microwave and fridge + a little seating area for two). Our room (all of the rooms) had an amazing view of the ocean — plus if you head around back they provide you with a couple muskoka chairs and a picnic bench that gets you even closer to the beauty. You can just see the sunset if you peak around the trees. I would recommend anyone to go to this gem!

Motel looks very new. Extreme clean, flawless room. Had mini fridge and microwave. Thoughtful bonuses include walking shower plus grab bar, fluffy towels, throw blanket for lounger, double Muskoka chair, dining table plus chairs Location excellent, only 3km from peggys cove. Beautiful view backs onto the water, saw an Otter (or some similar animal) feeding on fish Great price but would definitely pay extra next time for a balcony looking onto the water next time.

We spent our first night at the Clifty Cove over the Victoria Day long weekend last year and enjoyed it so much that we returned for another night this May long weekend. Wonderful owners who really care about their property, clean and spacious room, comfy bed and stunning ocean view from the deck. No question—we've become regulars!

This is a little slice of Heaven on St. Margaret's Bay. The rooms were clean and cozy with modern features. The view is exceptional… a million dollar view for a very reasonable rate. The owners are what make this jewel of a motel a gem. 5 stars for sure.

On the outside it looks really rundown and beat up. Inside the rooms are very beautiful and a clear view of the ocean is beautiful. Very nice owners who obviously take pride in their motel.

Great rooms and amenities… amazing view… beautiful deck overlooking the ocean for each room… and run by incredible people. Very impressed with our Clifty Cove experience!

Wow, I stayed here with family back in 1988 after we had visited Peggy's Cove. Even back then I remember it being quaint and homey, with a nice view. Only drawback was that we had maybe 1 TV channel. That was a long time ago, though, and I was only 10 at the time, so this was an important thing to me — lol. Going by the photos on their site, looks like it hasn't changed a whole lot in appearance, though services/amenities were definitely updated.

Nice and clean affordable right on the oceanfront, very good people, will stay aggin, loved the ocean waves sounds at night.
