Blachford Lake Lodge, you have stolen my heart. I have never had a more peaceful getaway. We started out traveling to the lodge by float plane, which was awesome, then unlimited outdoor activities, beautiful scenery, the chef nailed it with every meal and the customer service was incomparable to any place I have ever been. You are treated like the royal family and then you get to boat out to an island and touch your bare feet to rocks that some of the actual royal family visited! Such a great atmosphere and I 1000% recommend Blachford Lake Lodge! I will be going back, I would actually love to check this place out in the winter too. If it’s not already on your bucket list of places to travel, I highly suggest you add it ✨

Such an amazing place for a Ladies of Leisure Trip! Food was outstanding, activities were plentiful (and optional if that’s not your thing), beautiful land, and such a fantastic and helpful staff.

Had the absolute most amazing weekend staying at Blachford lake lodge. Thank you to all the wonderful staff for the great hospitality and the meals were fantastic. Almost 2 years in Yellowknife, this trip is easily our most favourite experience. We hope to visit again in the summer, maybe without the kids!

You're nice, patient and pretty. You taught us how to make dream catcher, healing spruce salve. Guiding us to hike the Teresa's trail and how to protect the surrounding. We're love to stay with you. Friendly staff, there’s something for everyone to do, the food is incredible, and the view is amazing. Whether your looking to relax or go on an adventure, I 100% recommend blachford. Truly an amazing experience.

Absolutely fantastic 4 day adventure with fishing, hiking and canoeing. Viewing the aurora borealis was a treat. The lodge was a great retreat and the staff made it an even better experience. If you are looking for a getaway retreat, this is a great place to stay!

My husband and I visited Blachford Lake Lodge mainly to see the Northern Lights for Christmas in 2017. Making the reservation was easy and we were notified of everything we needed to bring and what to expect. Our trip was amazing! The staff there were absolutely wonderful and did everything to make our trip one we will always remember. There were kids there and the staff made sure they had something to do as well. I highly recommend this place! We stayed in the original Trappers Cabin and loved it.

Worth every penny — even in winter.

My wife and I love this place. We go there during the Christmas. Great Aurora viewing experience. And We stay there for 3 days, enough time for all the activities you could provide. I strongly suggest try the snow mobile tour and traditional net fishing. And almost forget the mention the lovely cheese cake. Just one little suggestion for the management team. There is no need to bring political topics to public. On the English Version Website. One of your staff is marked down as born in Taipei, the XXX of Taiwan. You guys should be smart enough for not showing those words in public. You know how Chinese people feel about this type of topic. And being honest, I really do not feel this staff is friendly and patiently to the people from main land. Other than this, this is a great place to visit.

Our experience at Blachford Lake Lodge was phenomenal. The Auroras were amazing. There is no better place to see the Auroras. The group size is intimate and you are far away from light pollution. Standing on a frozen Lake Blachford with only a handful of other people in complete darkness is priceless. Seeing the Auroras is special but like a wildlife experience, seeing something in nature is out of your control. It is a good thing that Blachford Lake Lodge has so much more… to offer. Having the great staff, volunteers, food, and accommodation is also part of the experience and so is the endless activities that they provide. Cross-country skiing, hiking, snowshoeing, fat tire bikes, ice hockey, ice fishing, snowmobiling, etc are all part of the Northern experience and you just can't get that all in once place. My wife and I had a great experience at Blachford Lake Lodge and would highly recommend it to anyone. I wish we could stay there longer!

Absolutely wonderful experience. Staff is gracious, friendly, knowledgeable, flexible, and kind. The landscape sweeps your senses clean of the pollutants of civilization. And the aurora are breathtaking. I will come back.

Blachford lake lodge is a once in a life time experience everyone must do. The staff and volunteers are all extremely friendly and go out of their way to ensure your stay is unforgettable. Having the opportunity to see the northern lights in such a place was really the cherry on top. With numerous activities you never get bored, spa and sauna for relaxing. Me and my partner stayed in a cabin and were so warm and comfortable. We will definitely return in the future.

Awesome experience. Excellent location for seeing aurora. Staff here are very friendly and helpful and make myself at home. Although we are at remote area, we still have good Wi-Fi here. Lodge facilities are good. Let us enjoy the wilderness in comfortable way. Lodge manager organized a half day games and program for guests to enjoy on Easter Sunday. Very impressed indeed. Lastly, this is an eco lodge. Met owner during our stay. Learn that he makes great effort in making this lodge as environmental friendly as possible. They also collaborate with local higher education bodies for corporate social responsibility projects.
