Go Hostel

Despite years of family ownerships this place was as close to Jones lake I could get. I figured I'd move in for a few days, challenge a few of the resident crack-heads to a dual or two, get into a few bar room brawls and then punch the teeth right out from the senile crypt-keeper ruining the place. Overall, an ideal golf vacation getaway.

If I could give no stars I would! We got to the motel sketchy not at all what it says it is on the website paid for our room go up there it’s a “no smoking” motel but the rooms smell like smoke. We booked one queen bed online and when we got there he didn’t say anything to us he let us pay and we go up to the room and there’s two small double beds so we went back down and says oh I think you gave us the wrong room. He had every excuse in the book he said he gave our room away to someone else, and if we didn’t like it, we could go somewhere else. He was incredibly rude. Had an excuse for everything I had to say to him needless to say we went somewhere else.

Made a reservation a week in advance for a queen size bedroom for myself and my girlfriend. The person who’s running it gave our room away (supposedly minutes before we showed up.
As soon as we walked in the room, smelled incredibly like cigarette smoke (supposed to be a non smoking motel) and when we asked if he gave us the right room, he had an excuse for everything. “Oh well I don’t have any left. ” Okay, then why did you take our reservation? “Because I had rooms available. ” But this isn’t the room we wanted or reserved. “But this room is bigger. ” It’s not the point, we reserved it. “Okay well I’ll refund you and you can go somewhere else. ” Incredibly ignorant of a business to do to a paying customer. We will NOT be back. We’ll pay 115 at another motel.

Stayed here because it seemed like a deal but we really should’ve paid a bit more and stayed somewhere else.
Our shower had a window that opened to the second floor walkway with no curtains or frosted glass so anyone walking by could see you showering. The bathroom also didn’t have any towels in it.
When we showered (with t-shirts hung in the window) the tub filled up with water, and the hot water ran cold when someone in another room turned on their water or flushed their toilet.
Our air conditioner wasn’t working and it was really humid in the room, so we had to open the windows, but there were no screens so flies came in… and there were people outside talking and smoking all night and through day.
Also the blanket on the bed was full of cigarette burn holes, and we found a pair of someone’s else’s eyeglasses in the corner of the room.
We had a great time in Moncton, but honestly I couldn’t wait to get out of this place.

There is a reason why it’s cheaper then most motels, it was most definitely worth it to spend the extra $$ and stay at a different motel. The place was just sketchy, doors all wide open, mattresses hanging off the bed frames, creepy people hanging around, and my reservation was lost even though I got an email the day before verifying it. The only good thing was that the owner was pretty friendly.

The motel is not expensive and is close to the main street. The rooms are not too big but we have all we need. And they are clean, that's what counts the most. We have a big fridge but the bed is not too big. And if you go there, bring your own pillows because the pillows are tiny.
