Bed bugs in the hotel rooms, we had to take the lady from the front up to the room to show her because she didn’t believe us.
Thankful that we DID get our money back.
The manager (short rude little man) that should be replaced.

Callin was by far the best bartender server I have ever dealt with.

Well I hadn't been there in years and my is it ever redone and nicely. Good atmosphere when I was there.

Good tasting alcohol if you know im sayin o yah and food.

Terrible food. Cold and greasy. Slow terrible service on the weekends.

Less than one people, and it's not a good place to be, very dirty and smoked room, when you go to check out there try to get you with smoking in room, so they try to get your damage deposit, Nice try people.

The staff have been absolutelywonderful to me I'm blind they would do anything o asked bring me jugs of ice water walk me up stairs. Thank you all for your kindness to me .

Bofff. Very old carpet everywhere. We had to let the water run a long 4 minutes before it become clear to take a shower.

First red flag was a 100 dollar damage deposit up front on the room, so I was charged 195 dollars right off the hop at check in. No elevator, so I had to make 2 trips up the stairs to get our luggage to our room. The room seemed clean enough but noticed some small stains on the pillowcases. The Cable wasn't working right and I wasn't able to see what programs were listed on the channels, everything said To be announced and I had to push 3 buttons each time I wanted to change channels, very frustrating. I moved the overhead lights over the bed for reading and they flickered on and I wasn't able to turn them off. The knob on/off switch was missing so I had to pull the bed out from the wall to disconnect the plug. I called the desk to let them know but their reply was "Our maintenance guy isn't in today, but I'll make a note on your file so you don't get charged for it being broken". The bathroom appeared clean, but only enough towels for 2 people. I booked a double room so I expected enough towels for 4 people. One small bar of soap and one small name brand shampoo/conditioner for the shower and a couple of wipes and little things for toiletries. Unfortunately the hot water from the bathtub was light brown coloured — a bit gross, but settled after a couple minutes of running the tap. It never fully went clear but almost. Old plumbing I guess. The shower head was very nice, good pressure and comfortable. The shower door was difficult to slide open and closed.

Stayed here with the wife. Everything was good. We had a comfortable stay, other than the shower… there was hair on the glass door.

Mexican food is no longer available, cleaning out the remaining food inventory and then changing to East Indian cuisine.

The vendor is a lot better now that beer that you pick up is actually cold.

I am upset. I was staying at the hotel last night and the man I was staying with had called the police… I was not part of it but am now banned from the hotel. I caused no trouble and even had no remote when I was brought back from the police station. They said there shouldn't be a problem with me coming back since I was very quiet and cooperative. The lady at the front desk also agreed. I gave her my word. I just needed a place to be safe so I can sleep. Now I'm stuck outside and can't even rent a room. I can't bus get a room since my wallet had been stolen just the day before. The new managers also agreed there would be no issue. And I am now screwed… And have no choice but to sit outside … no safety… and they won't call the police or send a cab to the front. Scared… I hope the right person gets in trouble because every other worker helped…

Newly renovated, looks nice inside, great place to relax and have a drink.

I am rating the hotel portion. Did not go to the restaurant or bar. This hotel is TERRIBLE. It starts at the front desk. Not the nicest staff in the world. Very “I have no control in my life so I’m going to talk down to you” from the middle aged fat lady. Then after they give you your key and remote control for the TV at the desk you go upstairs and immediately regret staying here as the upstairs Hall is FILTHY. The room, well the room looks like a flop house room from the seventies. The white towels are stained yellow, there is a solid ring around the inside of the toilet of crust, the shag carpet has seen better days, the sink and tub are questionably clean at best and the weirdest thing, there are no trash cans in the room or bathroom. Oh, and it was lava hot in my room and you can’t adjust the thermostat. The only positive thing I can say is that I took apart the bed as I always do and looked closely and there are no bed bugs of any type Spend a couple extra bills, stay somewhere else.

Completely redone in the bar section. Looking forward to more development to come.

Props to the new owners for taking the time to renovate the bar VLT Lounge area. I feel this Lounge now stands out as one of the best looking feeling lounges in the area with class.
I'd personally like to see staff in a uniform or top with your logo advertised also feel in the future I'd love to see some weekly events. Not only are they fun for us customers more customers means more moneya chase the ace night maybe on one of the slower night to bring in more customers. A… naughty Bingo night, meat draws or something new that a local Lounge Bar hasn't thought of anything that gives a customer a chance to feel they can win money or items will definitely bring people in Also definitely start posting pictures of your new renovated side to advertise its new look

Only 4 because I can't find the hours anywhere for the vendor and it has different hours each night. Can you display vendor hours somewhere please?

Same bed sheets never changed on a 4 day stay not once did they pick up my trash I had too bring it too front desk cuz there was no garbage pail, floors were not vacuumed the whole stay shower was garbage water spraying everywhere except at me even had too send back my breakfast cuz it was fit for the trash then had too go across the street too eat … never again I guess u get what u pay for.

Went in for karaoke and had a great time. Clean space, lots of people, nice bar staff, good hosts. Would go back.

Found it to be a good place to meet friends, and start the day, the breakfast special is reasonable priced. The restaurant is dated, but I found staff to be great, and the breakfast was fairly decent, the waitress came around with the coffee pot regulary (a must for me)

Located just off nairn by the goodlife. Has a grear selection of beer and coolers.

Awesome beer store and bar. Very clean facilities and great choice of beers. Very friendly staff. Rooms are great for the price. Homestyle food in the restaurant. Great location. Everything is a walking distance away. You can walk to restaurants, grocery stores, fast food restaurants, Walmart, Tim Hortons, McDonalds, superstore, Starbucks and lots more.

Service was good. Rooms were clean. Building overall was quiet no disturbances.

Some staff nice enough. No heat, told construction was reason. No offer of a freestanding unit as it was 28° outside. Management didn't seem to care with a "oh well, sorry". Restaurant is fair. Nicer choices within walking distance. Very dated, damaged, slight fire smoke smell, not from cigarettes, so be sure to take photos of room upon checkout. $100 damage fee charged and refunded.

Worst ever staff and the rooms are full of bugs! Stay away.

We were there for a fundraising social. Everything was clean, tables were cleared regularly. Was a great experience, I would consider having an event there.

Super crappy! Could not screw up tries and gravy but they did and it took 20 min! Plus drinks over priced. Why? It's a dive it stinks. Never again! Super bitchy staff.

They have some sand volleyball courts behind it which were nice to play in. A bit of a hidden away locating but fenced in and nice.

Was there for beach volleyball. Courts were well-tended. Bathrooms clean and accessible.

I was visiting a guest here. The hotel is very dated, which can be excused, but the general feeling of grim cant. Poor lighting, dark colors (That are faded and dingy too) and near zero air circulation lead to an atmosphere that is uneasy. I wouldn't ever stay here myself.

5 stars if your looking for a cheap place to stay the night. Don't need credit card. It's comfortable and quiet. The old building has a look like it was a hopping place a long time ago. Like your stepping back into an old move. You can almost see the gentleman sitting around smoking their cigars.

One of the best vendors I've been to in the city. Clean, plenty of selection and friendly staff. It's also in a great location.

Had poor service, the waitress could not have cared less. She didn't tell us about a supper menu, just threw us a crappie dirty looking piece of cardboard with a few items on it, after we got our meal, she never returned to see how we were doing, even though we were the only ones in there, she was too concerned with talking to some dirty looking teenager. The venue overall was literally falling apart, felt as though you didn't want to touch anything. Very disappointed in the experience. I guess if your a drinker and want to see strippers, this is the place to go.

We went to the El Flamingo restaurant for supper at just after 4, didn't look open but it was. It's supposed to have the best Mexican food but our menu only had nachos on it, she said supper menu doesn't start until 5pm. We ate anyway, I had nachos, my husband had a burger, the food was so so and the waitress never came back to see how we were doing or to see if we needed more to drink. I wouldn't go back, they obviously don't need my service otherwise they would have been more attentive.

Cons: This is a half a star out of 5. It mentions its a 4 out of 5 star not possible. I stayed at this hotel the past weekend and I was completely disgusted as I booked it online and found out I had no refunds. The pictures online are not what they seem. Extremely outdated. I took several photos of my room as the bed I was supposed to sleep in had to what looked like poop, blood and what ever else. WARNING: THE BEDS ARE EXTREMELY OLD AND DIRTY The lamps and night lights did not work as the switches were bust off. The heat was stuck on and they had no way in lowering it. I was forced to open my door to keep it cool. The patio door would not close unless forcefully shut. The bathroom was extremely dirty, I went to Wal-mart and bought cleaning supplise to clean the room and bathroom. cleaning staff did not come to reclean the room, after the first day. Pros: the front desk lady was friendly The building was quiet as we were the only couple staying there.

I had to stay at this hotel/motel over new years as all the other hotels were fully booked. At first I was a little skeptic about booking, as I had heard by word of mouth that it was a very bizarre hotel. But without any other choice, I had to settle with this this one due to the location and the lack of any other option available. Overall, the room was clean. The bathroom was dirty. We needed a bed. It had one. And the price was very reasonable. Surprisingly not as bad as what I thought it would be. Very quirky place to say the least.

There are no bed bugs—we checked. The staff are great: friendly and helpful. The rooms are tiny and you have to climb a flight of stairs to reach them—no elevator or any kind of easy access. The carpets on the stairs and hallways are stained and desperately need shampooing or replacement. Everything is very old and needs renovating. The food at the restaurant is very good and the prices are super cheap.

Really nice staff and great location. Good value for the price and a lot cheaper than anything else in the area.

Very friendly staff. They are remodeling so some room are still old fashion. Great place for a night stay. Also love that it is smoke free. Win.

Best place to stay. Comfortable and affordable.
