Would like to rate this hotel 0… Have to check off one star for my review to be posted. This is the worst place I’ve ever had to stay, seeing that I couldn’t get a refund. (Hotwire booked) •Dirty smelly carpets. •Yellow stains on bed skirts, •toilet seat not cleaned and •hairs on bedsheets. •garbage not picked up. Even though we were moved to another room, there was not much of a difference, just the carpet was somewhat cleaner. We didn’t get much sleep. Checked out as soon as daybreak. We will not stay there again. The lobby and the new name gives false advertising as the rooms are not as clean and updated as the lobby area. Totally opposite once you get to the floors and the rooms.

Rotten food all over the floor, filthy beds, and mold in the bathroom. They also kicked out a family for waiting on a cab. They had two kids under 5 with them and the one infant had a fever. They were told to leave or the cops would be called. Pathetic wouldn’t even cover how bad this place was.

I would give it 0 stars if I could. VERY VERY dirty, in a pretty bad location, the front desk didn’t know what he was doing during checkout making us find all of our own information just to give us our hefty damage deposit back. There was still garbage and items from the previous guests in the cupboards and dressers. Very dirty soiled carpets. Booked through Hotwire which is why this was our choice but I’d avoid at all cost. It is not anywhere near $100. So disappointed with our stay.

Would definitely spend a little extra next time to get a hotel in a better location and one thats clean. New Lodge was dirty, only one available outlet in the room, a/c unit cover was broken off and being held on by tape, sketchy neighborhood enough to feel uncomfortable but 1.5 miles away from downtown, the carpet in the hallways and the elevator was stained and dirty with trash. Think about spending a little more to get something better.

Nice rooms good security. Free parking by the hotel is great.

It was nice, Until I went to use the garbage can and grab a napkin in the kitchen. Almost got kicked out for that. But I guess, there was a problem that happened a week ago and the guests weren't notified right away "not to go in the kitchen". They should put up a sign right away if anything changes!

Room is dirty, smoking smell. Big noise in midnight. Never stay there again.

Dirty carpets and oldest. Noise through the night. 150 bucks for deposit.

Bed was acceptably comfortable, but the carpet appeared like it had never been vacuumed, with debris scattered all over it. Tile floor in the entry and bathroom was mysteriously sticky, and the shower curtain was much too long for the bed. Significant noise throughout the night.

Really dirty and stained blankets and dirty rug and its so stinky.

Convenient location. Decent price. Friendly counter staff. Under new management as of late 2017. The stairs are for emergency exiting now. Ceiling leak stains. Bathroom mirror was wiped but not totally cleared. Toothpaste residue in the sink. Though close to the Health Science Center, a better experience could be had for the same price elsewhere.

It was a nice place, easy in and out and great customer service.

This facility is unacceptable and should have 0 stars. They have no cleaners and the rooms are filthy.

Monthly parking passes for good a price. Originally told the $5 deposit for the tag hanger was refundable but it turns out It's not and the guy was quite rude to inform me.

Was there for a visit with my anutie violet and janice was so great to see them.

It's an inexpensive place to stay for medical patients going to the Winnipeg health sciences center but, it's incredibly loud with people coming and going to all hours of the night. This motel didn't feel safe especially at night. Staff were unwilling to control people's noise volume and disruptions in the halls. Wi-Fi is included and rooms are ok.

Front desk person was nice. Got a room quick. In a sketchy neighbourhood. KFC is across the street. Beer vendor in parking lot. Room was ok. Bed was ok. I see air conditioner for summer. Hotel was not as loud as I thought it would be. Carpets could use a shampooing.

You need security asap. Put your foot down. And never ever, ever, ever, ever, serve burnt food again lol. Appreciated but a little crazy and it's not your fault but your guests fault, to why this place is the way it is. Thanks for having us.

Worst hotel ever. No visitors after 10? That crazy, I guess they think we're all drunks and going to party. My mom and little brother got kicked out. I had to drop off my brother at the room door cause he's just a kid. He's on medical too! He's here in Winnipeg for help. I took him out to go eat cause he had a long flight and a long wait. That guy in the front desk to swearing at my mom! 'Get the F out' geeze. Econolodge get your shit together!

I stayed there for 3 nights in the same room. I will start with cons:
— internet only 4kbps (welcome back to 90es)
— Bed side lamp and clock not connected
— Bathroom fixture only has one bulb working
— toilet doesn't flush, had to lift the mechanism by hand…
— toilet seat is extremely small for grown man
— Poor breakfast, I came down only one morning and couldn't even find the milk for the cereal
— Corridors smell like smoke, even none smoking floor
— constant yelling and banging even through the night
— at the front entrance shady looking people hang out, little scary
— No blanket, just thin cover
— bath tub has dark spots on the bottom from one of those no-slip mats
— Fridge is whistling when turns on, especially annoying at night when you are trying to sleep Now for the pros:
— Has parking
— Cheap price price per night
— I haven't turned ON the TV so I don't know how good that service is. So let's say good
— Nofrills is near by
— friendly staff
— KFC and Tako Bell are near
— beds are clean
So in overall, you could do much worse, but if all other places are booked this is OK-ish. You get what you paid for, you been warned :-)

Worst place ever! Never going staying there again! Rude ppl no Good food rooms smell like smoke including the suppose to be clean towels, the hallways smell like weed all the time! I recommend never to stay there!

Good service… need to get our keys reprogrammed everyday though. Can walk to downtown. Free parking at hotel.

Very basic hotel. Not terribly clean, but was just there for a football party weekend, so didn't care than much.

The worst hotel in Winnipeg A continental breakfast is 3 rolls, muffins 5 and disgusting coffee. Bedbugs. Never again will not stop In this hotel!

Friendly and helpful service at the front desk. However when we arrived we were surrounded by the down town rift raft people asking us for money, smokes and trying to check out what was in our vehicle and asking us 2 questions about our travels. Rather intimidating and annoying after travelling over 12 hours with a 9 month old.

June 10th 2014. We stayed one night. Place was renovated! I thought it was newly built. We are very happy for the service and pretty well with everything. I do recommend.
