Clean rooms, decent amenities. Pool could have been cleaner. Very friendly and professional staff who were all very accommodating. Would stay again.

The room I had was most inviting. Mattress was to die for so soft … the changes to the decor are a positive thing … house keeping in morning are quiet. No noisy staff if you wish to sleep in. All in all a very pleasent stay.

Clean rooms. The showers are a little short but all in all a good place.

Not unbearable but pretty bad. The front lobby smells disgusting. The place is pretty rundown and dirty. You can hear people in neighbouring rooms clear as day so it was quite noisy. The pool and hot tub are quite grungy. It is way too expensive for the quality of the rooms. We chose this place bc of the pool but I wouldn’t make that mistake again. The pool is quite small and pool/hot tub are in poor shape. I was quite happy to leave.

Beds where stiff pillows where flat over priced fromt desk screwed up reservations pool and hot tub had enough chlorine to kill a person.

Terribly overpriced for the quality/cleanliness of the rooms. The hotel appears to be under renovations but there was a damp smell throughout and the hallways were dirty and run down. When I came back to my room at one point my door was unlocked after the cleaning staff had been inside! Thankfully nothing was taken. I also had significant difficulty booking a room as the person on the phone seemed confused about which, if any, rooms were available. I don’t recommend staying here.

I was really disappointed with this hotel because it can be a great place to stay. They have a nice pool area once the renovations are done. The staff are friendly and understanding, the rooms are clean, and inside access to the restaurant/lounge. The problem is a design issue that is costly to fix. The majority of the rooms you cannot open the window or control how cool your room can be. You can warm it up but they keep the heat too high and my room was a steady 28 degrees and there was no way to cool it down in the middle of winter. I was upstairs so there was not even an outside door. The staff had no idea how to turn the heat down and if they did turn it down how long would it take to cool the building down. I never have stayed in a hotel/motel where you could not open the window, so now I have learned to ask about windows and heating/air conditioning controls in the rooms as this was a huge eye opener. The second issue was the internet not working and when it did it was slow. My recommendations for this property is to replace all the windows with the ability to open them in each room with a proper heating/a/c controls in each room and update the internet provider so it works.

Was there for an event. Was good.

Overpriced room that smelled stale and musty. The pool and hot tub were under construction, but they forgot to mention that until two days before we were set to arrive. The room was also freezing, and would not warm up. Not worth the price of the jacuzzi room by half.

We only used tire basement boardroom. Everything blew the breaker. Bathrooms had no functioning lights. And it was extremely cold. Other than that, the location was good and the price for rent was acceptable.

Stopped in to see a friend. Great room.

Needs renovations. Shower temperature unpredictable. Carpet is dated. Needs new paint. Still a reasonable deal.

Stayed for a few days, the rooms were good and beds were comfortable. The rooms were a bit dark. Altogether very good service.

It was great, Smitty's right on site, Friendly staff, heated indoor pool, with a Hot Tub & Sauna, Reasonable cost. No complaints here! ☺

Well 3 out of 5 of our group just checked out early and switched hotels. Refused to fix/turn on the air conditioning (central air system) after 5 days of complaining about the heat. Wi-Fi never worked a single day. Not awesome working in the heat all day and coming back to a room that's just As hot, and never gave us a single dollar off the room! Still tried to charge us an early checkout fee. No continental breakfast for those people who start work before the attached Shmittys opens. No exhaust fan in washroom and an inch of mold/moss growing out of the vent where the fan should be. Bed was very lumpy and the pillows like pancakes. This hotel is extremely overpriced for what you get, business rate is still over $100/ night for a double after tax. Highly recommend the Prairie Mountain Inn! 1 block north.

Clean rooms and good prices. Riding Mountain National Park is about 10 kilometres away.

We stayed at the canway inn, in dauphin last night. This morning as my three kids were changing into their bathing suits at 9am, my daughter without any clothes on had a lady walk into our room with a set of keys. I went straight to the front desk to freak out about it, when I got there the women who walked in our room was there complaining to the front desk as well and was SO upset at the situation. While I was gone another set of people walked in our room! My kids were changing! The family who walked in were given the keys by the front desk, as the front desk 'forgot' we were in there. We received $20 off of the room and NO apology. The woman who walked in on our naked children was shaking she was SO upset and apolgized not only when she first realized that it was my room she walked in on, but came back after and apologized again. She shouldnt have had to do this! So livid and we will take our business else where.

It is OK. The rooms are nice. There always seems to be construction inside. It is no layer out well, so everything seems a long walk. There is no continental breakfast, just an adjacent Smitty's that is expensive.

The suite was small but clean. My family enjoyed their stay.

Clean hotel, pool, sauna and hot tub, as well as barbecues set out for guests to use. Very nice place, staying here while I work in dauphin and I'm very pleased.

Hotel is clean and quite. Beds were comfortable. Kids were bummed that the hot tub was broken and pool was cold. They don't mind lake water temperature either.

Stayed at the Canway while on a business trip. Very nice pool and hot tub area. Water was very clear and clean. It was obvious the pool was very well taken care of.

Very Fridenly service, and spotless place. Do needed some renovation, but for price in Dauphin it is very fair. Manager is excellent with service. Everytime I am there always try to put extra effort to try to help me or the other customers.

I had the misfortune of staying at this hotel on July 26th 2011. All I can say is this place is infested with BED BUGS woke up with at least 30 bites. Stay away from this Hotel at all costs.
