The SeaWatch is a slice of heaven in Halifax Harbor. The location, accommodations, and the owners are really unique. Elaine and Stan, are down to earth, conscientious, very interesting, and just really nice people. The location is unbelievable — you are right next to the harbor with a billion dollar view through your wall to wall windows or from the outside deck. You can watch cruise ships, sailboats, harbor patrols, and rowboats go right by. The accommodation is quite large with a comfy bed, nice bathroom, and kitchenette and fascinating decor and history. The two breakfasts were delicious and were served on unique place settings. We are a senior couple who have travelled a fair amount, the Sea Watch was one of the finest accommodations we have seen.

This gorgeous hidden gem, came at just the right time after staying in hotels from Toronto. With close to no views, damp carpets and noisy AC.

Elaine and Stan are 2 of the most warm and welcoming hosts we have ever met. The breakfasts were exquisitely cooked and presented, the maps with directions were beyond our expectations and so very helpful as we navigated our ways to museums in downtown Halifax, Peggy’s cove and Lunenburg. And the views out our windows were perfect for watching boats and sea life passing by. They were kind, funny and considerate of our every need. Hot shower was appreciated at the end of the day. The decor of our apartment was charming and had personal and unique touches that have meaning to them over the 30 years of providing comfortable, warm and welcoming stays to many a traveler. We hope Elaine and Stan will come visit us in Mystic, CT in the USA someday. We arrived as a b and b guest, and left as a friend.
