True to the reputation of the ibis hotel chain, but too tiny, cramped trio. Located in the middle of bonanjo; difficult to access for people who do not have a means of locomotion. Guaranteed security.

Great experience here, I personally think this is a good place to stay when in Douala, the food are great, friendly staff, clean rooms.

Pretty clean room, except for the bathroom! There is free Wi-Fi. The minibar has only one bottle of plain water. There's a restaurant. Breakfast offers a buffet. Smoking is prohibited in the rooms. Lots of Anglo, and French-speaking channels. No soap, etc. There is a safe.

Restaurant is good. Room is clean. Staff not so polite.

4 star hotel I especially enjoy their restaurant with many culinary varieties.

This is an upscale hotel Cameroon standard, with international references. This is one of the choice hotels for business travelers in Douala. It is well located in the administrative part of town, in walking distance from all major banks and government offices. The commercial district and super markets are 5minutes drive away. The Douala airport and the seaport are within 10minutes drive. The hotel provides professional hotel services and has just recently undergone some face lifting.

Decent hotel, and especially very good location. Close to several administrative buildings, restaurants, places of entertainment and I pass… Very friendly and professional staff. Rooms quite small but clean.

Hotel IBIS Douala; for me is a reference in the coastline for having rubbed shoulders with all the other hotels with my forest boss, when I was still in Office, from the point of view welcomes and his service, with a well trained and dedicated staff.

This is one of the top-notch hotels in the city of Douala. Receptionists are excellent workers; The same is the rest of the staff always at the small care of the clients. The restaurant offers well-made and appetizing dishes. The prices are not exorbitant and are well adapted to the reality of the environment. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Clean and efficient Douala hotel catering for transitting expats. Not luxury by any means but comfortable and ok for a short stay.

This is the worst Ibis hotel ever. Booked a twin bed room for me and my brother for June 29th. Printed out the booking confirmation and handed over to Cyrillie at the reception. He was near rude and insolent. Did not want to take my booking. Wanted to give me another price. Came in again on July 10th and met same Cyrille and Junior. Both were very rude and insolent. They did not accept our booking. Because we were very tired, we took whatever price they offered. Very unprofessional here. I won't recommend Ibis Douala to anyone and I won't stay here again till they change.

Pretty small rooms. Narrow lobby. No room service.

Hope my stay changes for the better. Came in late and was completely ignored — after being able to contact the staff, the room appeared not to be ready ready (I was already 2 hrs delayed). Without even giving me some proper attention I was directer to the lobby chair to wait. Had to go and ask for my room again after 15 mins and it was suddenly ready. No "sorry", no actual conversation… too bad.

I've stayed at the Ibis every other month for 1 to 2 nights since 1993. The staff is very friendly and helpful; food is good; security is outstanding. Best hotel for your money in Douala.
