Review of Prohm Roth Guesthouse 2*

Great "base camp" to rest and set out to discover the wonders of Cambodia. First of all its location, really strategic as it is very close to the center and its nightlife (not even five minutes walk) but at the same time quiet as it is placed on a little street where there comes no noise coming from the nightclubs nearby. Speaking of the structure I must point out that the floors, stairs and many other elements of this guesthouse are all solid wood and this creates a very pleasant atmosphere (the energy transmitted by the wood is unique). The room we stayed in was large and comfortable, so we had a good time (it was just a bit noisy in the morning because of a motor car park which is next to the property but this fact didn't cause us any problems as we always got up early to go hiking). As for the cleanliness of the rooms I have to say that it was great, and the sheets were not stained (being able to find linde sheets in Asia is a real feat! ). The bathroom was then kept in good condition (another thing not taken for granted). I would like to highlight the fact that the guesthouse organizes excellent tours at cheap prices (lower than those required by the whims of tourist agencies scattered around the city) that will take you, on board their tuk tuks, to discover and love all the temples Cambodians scattered in the territory of Siem Reap, and to sail, as perfect explorers, to the floating city of the Tonle Sap River. Going back I would do the tour with them a thousand times in the company of our very good driver, Naik, always patient, smiling, safe in driving, and dispenser of excellent advice in perfect English.
