Katrine Solhaug and her entire staff have earned my enduring gratitude for their kindness in helping my niece through a tough experience whilst in Siem Reap. They went to extreme lengths to ensure she was okay and helped her every step of the way. You couldn't find better people to stay with — highly recommend!

Great location away from the city centre. Only a 3-4 min Tuk tuk ride away from Pub St. We visited in the quiet season so I get vibe was very chill. Definitely would recommend Babel Guesthouse to anyone thinking of staying in Siem Reap. Staff where very friendly and informative. Food was great!

Amazing vacation. The staff was super nice and helpful. The food was great and the location was very convenient. The place is eco friendly and had fantastic recommendations re my visit. And I met wonderful fellow travel.
They have tuk tuk driver you can hire to take you the temple. Old market and Pub Street is about 10-15 walk at a leisurely pace. Or, if you prefer, about $2 with a tuk tuk.
I will absolutely and definitely go back to Babel when I come back to Siem Reap.

Very cozy rooms, great and healthy food in the tropical garden where the restaurant is and very friendly staff. The owners are amazing and will help you with your questions or needs while in Cambodia.

A little bit expensive for the quality but welcoming staff and good quality.

This is such a Lovely place. The staff feels like family and they do a lot for the environment! They have a small bar and a really nice big outside chill area. This is very family friendly and the food is great as is the prices. This is the only place for me to stay in Siem Reap. I was just a random guest my first stay and I miss the ppl when I leave. Make sure to buy their metal water bottle for 1 time cost of $10. Then you can fill it up with bottled water all over town for free every day!

Really nice hotel held by a Norwegian couple. The staff is really kind and helpful. They can organise a tour of the temples in tuk tuk, cooking lessons… for you! The hotel has a very nice courtyard to have a drink or just relax after a day of visiting temples! For 3$ you can go to a very pleasant swimming pool next door and for 8$ you can have an hour massage. I really recommand this hotel of you stay in Siem Reap! (But don't forget to bring your own shower gel and shampoo)

Babel! So many wonderful things to say! I absolutely loved my stay and the staff made me feel so comfortable as It was my first time out of the United States and in a foreign country. I enjoyed the tropical relaxed vibes and how near it was to the night market and other fun places and sight seeing spots. In a very good location, close to everything but away enough to have peaceful quiet for rest and relaxation time! Amazing food and coffee as well! Loved every moment.

The guesthouse has a pleasantly quiet location in a side alley. The area with bar and various places to linger is very pleasantly designed. The food was overall quite good, unfortunately there were only paths tasting filter coffee. The staff were fun and always friendly. The bathroom could have been a bit less moldy, towels were partly shredded and the air conditioning was apparently throttled. Overall we were completely satisfied!
And if you need a laundry service or want to enjoy some cool, tasty drinks like freshly squeezed juices, you will get both directly opposite in a small shop with nice owner.

It's clean with incredibly kind service. The rooms are neat with clean bathrooms and showers. It has a pool next door and an outside garden where you have breakfast. I would suggest this for anyone planning to stay in Siem Reap.

I stayed at Babel Guest House with a group of 12 students and I have absolutely loved the place: everybody warmly welcomed us, the rooms are spacious and clean, food was delicious and the terrasse is truly charming. I really like the fact that this guest house is participating in several social and ecological project: recycling, free water, classes for local staff, sensibilisation to child protection in Cambodia, … I have been very much impressed and would certainly come back for my own holidays.

Family, respect for the environment, a Guesthouse to recommend.

Despite high expectations, our stay at Babel was only average and disturbed by so many mosquitoes in our room. There were no mosquito nets around beds, unfortunately, so we didn't sleep well. The room was spacious and the bathroom basic and the restaurant & bar area seem nice to hang out, if you don't mind the mosquito buzzing. Breakfast are not included and Wi-Fi was spotty and not working at times. While the guesthouse is trying to be run sustainably, which is why we chose it, I was disappointed that they were charging a small fee for filling up water bottles — especially knowing that at other public spaces it's free. Overall, it felt a bit like the guest house had its golden times behind and the atmosphere was slowly fading away.

Verry good guesthouse, try to stay.

This is an excellent guesthouse that I can fully recommend to any traveler. Fantastic welcome and service plus the authentic smiles of happy staff will be in your memory for all your live! Plus they know how to make a real Italian espresso and this is priceless. Thanks especially to SreyRoth for that!

We had a wonderful stay here! The staff and the owners are great and will help you with any advice you may need. The location is also top notch, both for nightlife and sightseeing in Siem Reap. Would definitely stay here again! :D.

Coming to Siem Reap to check out the temples and the town? Stay here first like my wife, daugther and I did last week. Clean and comfortable affordable rooms. Super friendly and helpful owners and staff. Interesting guests from around the world. Tasty food on site (breakfast egg and bacon panini — yes) and plenty of options nearby as well. (Try the BBQ Pork on Rice breakfasts at the market around the corner for $1.25 — including a side of soup and pickled vegetables. ) Convenient to everything. 10-15 minute walk along the tree-lined river to Pub Street — or a couple minutes by Tuk-Tuk. Drivers available for tours of the temples and other attractions at amazing prices. We had a great time with our tuktuk driver who took us around on a half-day tour of the temples! We're so glad we came to Babel for our first week in Siem Reap — it was the perfect spot to settle in and get our bearings.

Very including and lovely staff. Nice big rooms with both warm water and good pressure. Outside area and bar are cozy with different sitting areas. Location is quiet and within walking distance to the old town. Can highly recommend this place.

Oh how I miss this place! Spent three months here and it truly is one of the best times of my life! You will never meet a staff like this. They are so helpful and kind. And to me they became more like family. They will help you find the perfect things to do. And you can learn alot about how to be a responsible tourist. Not to mention that they are eco-friendly! I hope to be back soon!

Since I met Katrine and Simen, two of the owner of this lovely Guesthouse, Babel became somehow my second home for around 1, 5 years, my living room, my favorite place in town, where you can always go to chill, eat, have drink and meet people from around the world. And it seems, that this place attracts to amazing, interesting, lovely and how Katrine would say GORGEOUS people. No need to speak about the staff (kitchen, cleaner, TukTuk-driver, bar and reception), as they are just amazing, helpful and motivated in learning new things. There are ONE MILLION things to mention… sustainability, teaching, responsible tourism, amazing dealing with the Cambodian staff (health care, family support, teaching…), support of local businesses, hospitality as its best… you should go there and convince yourself of it.
I love this place and miss it every single day! One day I will be back :)

This is by far the best hostel I have ever been to! Not only are the accommodations amazing but the staff is out of this world! Both of my stays at Babel have been superb and any time I am back in Siem Reap I will be staying at Babel! Also a pro tip: You MUST have a tuna sandwich while you are there! The best in the world!

The norwegian owners and management combined with the very friendly cambodian staff, huge clean rooms, a nice outdoor area, fast Wi-Fi, great food and a big selection of daytrips to different attractions, makes this guesthouse a really good place to stay! They have their own tuk tuk drivers, which takes you the short ride to the city center if you don't want to walk. Be sure to book a room in advance in the high season!

Exellent place, huge rooms, nice breakfast, realy clean, friendly staff, everything you can expect from a great guesthouse. They organice everything for you, have tuktukdrivers on standby all the time, you can use the pool next door for 3$, breakfast is included. Recommended.
