When I visited Phnom Penh for the first time in 2013 there were two things that made me fall in love with the city. The outdoor restaurant at Anise was one reason. It still remains a favourite and I love the food they serve and the atmosphere they provide! Lovely setting, fantastic and attentive staff and always great food!

Lovely restaurant with delicious Khmer food and very friendly and helpful waiters. The owners have paid close attention to the decor, and made sure the place is both comfortable and welcoming. Fantastic value for such high quality. They also serve nice strong cocktails. I recommend trying Prohok K'teeh, a mild but very delicious dish. Will definitely return!

As I'm shaking off a weak constitution after major dental work and between the torrential rain flooding, we made a quick decision to stop here instead of our original destination Khmer Surin, it was a pleasure to indulge in the 8oz Australian steak, a Tom Yam Goong, and Fish Amok had me ready for a night on the town! Too bad it's Sunday but what a meal! Love you guys, will see you more often now that I know you're right down the street! So affordable too keep the tamarind juice coming guys!

A house type colonial is very well maintained and elegantly furnished. The restaurant is perfect for the choixc and the quality of the dishes. C is really a super address.

Extremely great customer service, beautiful leafy surrounds makes u feel you aren't makes you feel like you aren't in the city! Great variety of food and drinks and good prices. Meals are generous sizes. Highly reccommend.

We didn't stay in the hotel but dined on the restaurant terrace a few times and enjoyed every meal there. The dumplings are amazing. The beef an lettuce wraps are delicious too.

The vegetarian lasagne is a very good size serving with a side salad. Good amount of vegetables and the white sauce is nice, well-accompanied by a dollar draft. Steam vegetables as a side are very well done. Yes, I like vegetables. Outside seating is quiet despite being near an intersection.

I eat at Anise Restaurant at least twice weekly. It is close to where I stay, and the food is good. I sometimes have difficulty getting good service, however.

I am so grateful to have stayed at the Anise Hotel this past visit to Cambodia. The hotel was beautiful and clean and the staff was simply remarkable. They were respectful, loving and gracious. I have never met such beautiful people. Thank you so much!

Didn't stay in the hotel but tried the restaurant. Wifi is quite good. Staff is extremely friendly but inattentive. Food is mediocre and beer was not cold. Wouldn't come back.

Brilliant restaurant with great food and service. Their terrace is lovely.

Food is a bit overpriced due to location where a lot of expats and foreigners pass by. Accordingly the quality of it has been disappointing. The French fries lacked any salt, and the Pad Thai was also on the low end in terms of taste. It does have some nice atmosphere and seems inviting from the outside that's why it gets two stars. But for this kind of money you can find much better in Phnom Penh!

I have stayed at the Anise each time I have visited Cambodia. I have enjoyed the restaurant. The food is delicious and there is a good selection. The wonderful staff are friendly and helpful. I love sitting in the leafy surrounds.

Great service. I love the Ma's Chicken and red rice. Beef Loklak is really good too.

Vegetarian lasagna and side salad is my regular favorite. Love it!

I have been dining on the wonderful Anise for years, every time I come to Phnom Penh. It is my happy place for Sunday brunch, or a quiet chill out. Love.

I've stayed here once and eaten here often. The rooms are cosy and well serviced, although power outlets are straight pronged and awkwardly placed. Bring a power-board and an adapter if you are going to be using a computer all the time. Due to the layout and closeness to the ground there is going to be noise, but that's Phnom Penh. The food is consistently good, although I have not tried any of the western dishes outside breakfast. I recommend the Cambodian curry noodle if you are looking to get absolutely stuffed with a tasty feed, and wash it down with a tamarind juice.

Four-storeyed hotel with restaurant downstairs. Wooden-colored atmosphere and high ceiling. The place is well maintained and the service is very good. Room on the top floor gets the unblocked city view, but it can be very warm due to the afternoon sun. Since it is shady around the building, there are mosquitoes here and there. The mattress is a bit to hard for me. The restroom has a hot/cold shower. Very convenient location to tour around.

Great hotel, brilliantly attentive staff, large clean rooms, great food and drink, would recommend this place to anyone, the only thing missing is a pool but there are plenty in the area to visit.

It was my pleasure to choose Anise Hotel as my home during my stay in Phnom Penh. Everything was great, I have a very nice room with private balcony "I love it"… The rate provided with breakfast, free laundry (5 pieces/day/person) was a great deal. The 10 nights get one free night promotion also great to know!

My partner and I had a very unpleasant experience following having milk-based smoothies which caused us numerous trips to the bathroom during more than 24h. We immeditaly tasted a strange taste in the drinks, probably because of the milk which has turned bad. I would recommend the cook to pay more attention to keeping his products fresh.
