Very well located until my penultimate day my satisfaction was of 100% since the people very entertaining, hostel clean, all ordered, attention 24 hours, good tourist information, you can cook your own food in the installation, until one of the guys who They work in voluntary mode (work in exchange for lodging) sack authorization to make a party that for all the guests were unknown, in short, they stole the wallet with documents and money from one of the girls of volunteering and I was the one who gave the Idea of Q review the cameras, reviewed the cameras and as I walked close (not in the video Q I took that object) was proceeded to completely check my suitcase clothes for clothes object by object, however I checked up below my bed, the annoyance lies in the little security and comfort given to the guest in this type of case, the answer was not that you catch it but in case you are going to review it, and so did not consider the jet of people Agena to the lodging that there was and did not Nothing to contact the one who organized the meeting.

Desorganized. The hostel is too crowded. The room that I stayed there were 8 people but the space couldnt fit all of that. The other rooms seemed bigger and more comfortable for eight or nine people. The bathrooms could be clean more often and tbeu could make better use of they commom areas. Also, guests can't consume drinks purchased outside the hostel or even leave them on the fridge (? ) and the Wi-Fi doesn't work properly.

Hostel bacana, bem localizado, café da manhã simples mas pelo preço da estadia pra mim tava ótimo. Só os lençóis que estavam sujos e o banheiro que é muito úmido, com lugares apertados, portas sem tranca, etc.

The people who greeted us are very friendly, especially Thiago. There is a pleasant climate, it is a place close to everything. Very good.

Great place and great people. Went to the social área and had an excellent time with my friends. I recommend it!

Best hostel I stayed in Brazil, lovely staff and close to the beach and all the good parties, great to chill and have some beers to haha.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Rio Backpackers. The staff was friendly and conducted themselves as if you were family staying at their house. It was a short walk to the beach and the subway. In terms of the quality of the rooms/bathrooms/common area, you kinda get what you pay for. It wasn't a top quality hostel. Overall it is in a good location and you have a chance to meet good ppl.

Well wheb we book some nights on a hostel, we can not expect the quality of a hotel. Is quite calm with friendly staff. The toallets are quite small and lack of higiene. Otherwise jeg recomend.

I felt so frustrated so many times in my stay in this hostel! I made my reservations through a website called "hostel bookers". Since I was afraid that the hostel didnt get my reservations properly, I called them one day after departing and confirmed my reservations. They told me everything was ok with my 2 days reservation. When I got there, they told me that they would only have room for us (me and my friend) for the first day. The second day I would have to stay somewhere else. We had reservation for double room with a bathroom. When I got into the room, the bathroom had hair all over. It was really gross, because the had not cleaned it before. I tried to have my breakfast at 9:30am (the breakfast time is from 9 am to 11 am) and there was no breakfast ready. I ask the only person responsable for the breakfast if we could have our breakfast and he was really rude and told me he was washing deashes and it would take at least 20 minutes. I would have to meet some friends at the beach by 10am, so ofcourse I could not had my breakfast there. The room smeled like mold. Having to move to another hostel in the middle of a two days trip really sucked. If you insist in staying there, I wish you good luck.

I feel so lucky to have come across this hostel! Couldn't have asked for a friendlier place to stay in Rio. This is my second trip to this hostel and it certainly feels like home. The staff are friendly, helpful and always up for some fun! They will always give you hints on where to party and what to do during the day and are knowledgable about bus and metro routes. The breakfasts are just what you need after a big night, and are served till 11 so no need drag yourself out of bed too early. And the breakfast staff are cheerful and loved to laugh at my attempts to converse in portuguese! The bar isn't open late, but there are no problems with bringing in your own beers which helps with keeping costs down and the caipirinhas are excellent! The rooms are basic but clean and well looked after, most with lockers in so you can store your stuff away, and the best bit about them was that this hostel doesn't try to squeeze 18 people in a dorm like in other places I have stayed which means that on the whole you can get a great nights sleep. The area upstairs is great for meeting new people and as a lone traveller I loved the fact that there was this space where you could chill out with others. Lastly, the free Wi-Fi is a fantastic addition to this hostel that wasn't in place last time I was here — you may have to move around a bit to find a good signal but its here and it works!
