A warm place, very nice attention breakfast and dinner very rich, also has rooms with air conditioning.

Very nice hostel. And very nice people who work in it. All very clean and harmonious.

It is amazing everything around this hostel, the staff who serve you and all that is the staff are very friendly attentive and generous the truth without words; Magical place & dream super recommended.

Awesome hostel that I would recommend to anyone. Be sure to be there for the dinner at 8 o clock sharp. Not just because the meals are awesome (they are) but also to meet your fellow hostel friends and workers.

A atmosfera é incrível. Também a janta grátis é muito boa. Quando cheguei (9am) não pude tomar café da manhã pois meu check in era 11h, porém outras pessoas em outros dias puderam. Também tivemos o azar de faltar água um dia, tendo que tomar banho de balde. No geral, vale o preço.

Great atmosphere, dinner was included and excellent, good environment to meet people. Lots of parties around Lapa neighborhood.

Great hostel with a really nice chilled atmosphere. Also great location for Lapa's infamous street parties. The free dinners were my highlight — would definitely recommend/stay again!

Going to Bananaz Hostel was the best decision for us. We were 3 girls wanting to get to know rio But we also got to know the best people so we left this Place with a lot more beautiful experiences than we expected. After a few days the hostel wasn’t only our accommodation it was our home. The hosts and the guests are a gathering of people you feel comfortable with. After dinner which is so good btw you either go out with almost everyone from the hostel or hang out together jamming and talking Besides having breakfast dinner and a comfortable bed the atmosphere at this hostel is not comparable to other places. We had a really good time and we’re definitely coming back soon!

We had an amazing time at this hostel. The staff, the people and the free breakfast and dinner were incredible! The food was homemade and offered great veggie options — everyone left feeling full! It was a great place to socialize and meet new people and generally just have a great time. Our time at the hostel included dancing on the tables, playing charades and laughing about the madness we got up to the night before lol Overall, I highly recommend this hostel!

The place is nice and the ambiences are great, the owners are very warm and attentive, generating a nice atmosphere.
The bad Thing is the cleanliness of the place. The mattresses are already very old and smell bad.

Absolutely loved the place. Was supposed to stay there for three days but ended up living at BananaZ for ten. You guys are amazing.

Awesome hostel! They have a communal dinner which is excellent, you'll never leave the table hungry, dissatisfied or without meeting a new friend! The staff are even better, especially Yvonne. Answered all my questions and went out of her way even when it wasn't her day to work — Thank you, you're the best!

It's a cool Hostel. It includes a free dinner which is pretty cool. Nice people and really laid back. Don't expect to sleep too much though.

We travel in Brazil for a month and a half, and we have been in a lot of hostels. And Bananaz hostel was with no doubt the best!
The love and welcoming atmosphere was so beautiful, the eating dinner together really made everybody feel welcomed, it felt like a family, one of us is vegan and the stuff made sure every night to make a different dinner especially for her, every night all the hostel go out together, they took us to the best places in rio, and showed us a cool and authentic bars and parties! they were always there for us, the stuff was super fun and friendly, we will definitely miss staying there!

Myself and 2 mates from New Zealand ended up staying an extra 3 nights in Bananaz Hostel, reason for this is that we were taken in as family and treated like family. I have travelled all over South America been in over 17 hostels and this was by far the best one we have stayed in. The location is great if you plan on partying in Lapa, it's cheap, great location, the people are so hospitable and I will miss Bananas. I totally recommend staying here.
